I think what they are doing great - except I hope they make a law to stop using copper. It's not fair to expect others to mine it for their use when they don't think copper should be mined. I support their right to make that choice. But don't be hypocrites and import copper from some placd else. Youre just moving the damage to another part of the world. The world has already lost the copper you were mining, you'll only increase the price for everyone else if you follow that by having to import it. You might want to see how much of the modern world relies on copper. And if you are continuing to use any product with copper - then this whole thing is bogus. Dont preach or brag on yourself unless you are willing to make the sacrifice instead of just passing the damage to someplace else.
Only about one in 1,000 turtles survive to adulthood. Hatchlings die of dehydration if they don't make it to the ocean fast enough. Birds, crabs, and other animals also prey on the young turtles. And also they habitats shrink every year.
Just because sea turtles are doing well in one small area of the East Pacific doesn’t mean that they’re thriving in every other part of their range. And conservation efforts ideally try to keep wildlife populations healthy before they crash to near extinct levels.

It would be so cool to see nests that are monitored with camras to see the babies hatch over there
That's great. I just wish Nature on PBS would respond to comments. It would also be great if there was some way to donate to this PBS TH-cam channel.

The repeated music interruptions over somebody speaking is very irritating.

Get rid of plastic
Protest that at grocery stores. Keep it up.
Instead of saying foreign fishing operations I wish they would just flat out say China. They are the main culprits
We can talk to people in the malls & downtown what they would do to stop china.
How endangered can they be if you see a dozen in a few minutes.
My first thoughts, too, but maybe it's a safe place for them little guys to be 🐢 🐢 🐢
