I had a guy on a dating app actually say: "please reach out to me when you lower your standards" and I replied with a laugh, thinking it was a sarcastic joke comment and he's like "no, seriously". I just laughed more and said "how about instead you reach out when you level up".
ThankYouBrian 💕Just came across this… “Loneliness is dangerous. It’s addictive. Once you see how peaceful it is, you don’t want to deal with people.” Have A Blessed New Year 🥂🥳🥰
I have a lot of love to give and i find life alone to be painful. I love myself, i feel that i am whole, healed. I have so much to offer, and to not be able to find someone to share my happy life with just feels like, why bother? I am blessed, thankful, have a great life, but without someone to share it, feels empty.
For the first time in my life Brian, I am with a great man. And it is wonderful. Thank you for your help in reminding me what I waited so long for a good one.
Thank YOU!!! As a woman who is in her mid 40s I tell you what! I WISH I would have found this advice! I would have dated so differently! Either way, I appreciate your thoughtful and honest feedback! You sir are so awesome! You daughter would be a lucky girl to have a dad like you ❤
My imaginary Daddy, you're freaking amazing.😂 With your pep talk You make me feel valued in the way I want to. So, I truly appreciate whatever you do, just because what you do gives me incredible moments of synchronicity & resonance, which are so unique in this Universe🙏🔥
Having been raised by a narcissistic mother who was always in competition with me, I was taught to believe I had no value, whatsoever. So when my then boyfriend told me I took myself too seriously (when I was considering ending the relationship for its lack of forward movement), I didn‘t run away as fast as my legs could carry me. Oh, about my legs: I was a tall, thin, pretty woman with a dress size of 4. On a day at the beach, he commented that my thighs were just a little bit too rounded. Unbelievable. Once again, I didn‘t leave him. Mommy Dearest thought me that no one would ever love me and that nobody wanted me, yet I never failed to attract men (most.y narcissistic types). Even now, decades later, I have no problem attracting men, but the young woman inside still hears her voice putting me down.
I hope you have done some therapy. Some people like your mother doesn't deserve children at all. You're perfect and your only issue is to let the wrong people into your life but that's possible to change. All the best ❤️
I always appreciate your kind advice. Some of us ladies need to be reminded or taught that we are the prize. We give so much to men who take us for granted.
Great message, it's wonderful when people lift each other up especially strangers who have nothing to gain by helping you except knowing life is better for you. What a gift in life !!!
It's a wonderful n helpful topic ... I always appreciate your efforts . Thanks for being a big support . Every time you say" No " to a wrong person you give importance to yourself is magical
Brian you are amazing. I just ended a relationship where these signs were there and i should have seen them but did not. Very encouraging and i will read my notes from this every time i go on a date in the future.
Thank you for this encouragement! I am 55 years old, my ex abandoned me 5 years ago for another woman and I finally feel ready to find someone to spend the rest of my life with… but at my age, it feels hopeless. I am prayerful that God has someone for me. 🙏🏼
You are 40 years too late to find the best one possible, I am afraid. Lower your standards to the minimum. Then half your standards again and you will be fine.
Brian, thank you from the depth of my being for this video & many others. As I replay this & memorize it & analyze the words, I believe it will change my life for the better. What a profound impact you are having in my life & likely countless others! I grew up without a dad, and what family I had was loving but also judge mental, critical, abusive, neglectful, ignorant of so many things. I wish you had been in my life when I was dating. I have a husband who is a good, but broken man, like so many. He settles for less in life due to his low self esteem. So have I. But, as long as I draw breath, there is time & room for improvement. Marching on! Thank you so very much for posting this nugget full of wisdom!
Very good advice. I wish we'd collectively raise the standards of love and companionship back up. I encounter many men all the time looking to use me and get something from me they are not entitled to. It's worth remembering it's not a reflection on me, they start the interaction with that intent, irrespective of the woman. The prevalence of "bad" men does leave you feeling like you are the common denominator. But when you meet good men, you see how different it is.
God! The men I meet are just talking about themselves and when you say something about you they pretend not to hear a word .... I am just sick of blocking.
This was my favourite video, I feel strongly that people need to 'back' themselves, we need to build confidence and work on ourselves as a life long project, not try and fix others. I loved everything you said in this video, honestly, the people in the comments that dont think your imaginary daughter is awesome need to take a walk- somewhere else. Thank you for all your wisdom xx
Thank you for making videos like these. It's been a month since I broke up with my best friend, someone who I thought was my forever partner, and my feelings and loneliness come and go like waves. Your videos are truly valuable!
Thank you - this was exactly what I needed to hear today and probably many more times in the future. I have settled for men who put in minimal effort or who need "fixing" too many times
I met a woman in her early 80s who did a face lift. I just did not see the point of that, but she was happy. I was convinced by a critical relative to do botox in my early 30s and that I needed it. I regret it as it changed my face, atrophied my muscles and made them sag and be uneven. I hope there are school classes for self awareness, emotional regulation, and self love for kids and teens, that would be a good idea to have that in the curriculum as we sometimes learn far too late in life that we might have any worth.
Thank you for another amazing video. I Love the content and format... it's speaking to the "young girl" in me who never heard those encouraging, loving and protective words earlier in life. Thankful that you are dedicating some of your time to share your knowledge on healthy relationships with us all ❤
Brian, you give excellent advice! I so like your sense of humor! I said that once before and I am going to say it again: I consider you an Expert in this area. Thank you so much for helping women find the best partners🙏❤😊
Love all of these points and especially the one on being lonely and how we can use this time to grow and do things we wouldn't necessarily do with a partner. I love this!
This went right to my ❤. So many great messages! Now, could you please make a video about where or how to find a good man? Many thanks and blessings from Florida... 🙏🌍🕊🕊
About "butterfly in a cocoon". I haven't had any relationship nor been attracted to someone or by someone for a long while now. And when everyone around me was dating, breaking up, getting more experiences and all, I did feel like a failure. But now as the time of being alone and lonely, along with a faire share of hardships, made me grown up, love myself and lessened my insecurities I feel happy that I didn't meet any guy few years ago. Because I was pretty low of myself, and highly likely would end up with some jerk, doing everything to be the one he wanted not who I was, only not to be alone "at my age".
Thank you Brian! Loved this video ❤ Please, keep doing this format, I love it! Sometimes we need someone who comes and tells us these messages as raw as you did. Friends can help too, but sometimes they don't have the understanding nor the abilities to be this clear and direct.
I hope you get more of those kinds of comments. You're beaming like crazy. Full with passion, fire, motivation and determination. I absolutely love the energy of this one. Thank you 💛🙏
I have to work in different places each time and it made me so alone. Whenever i found someone i had to move to another place. I am really sad now. I am very alone.
I’ve been alone a long time now though, and I am sad that I may always be, and never meet a man that wants to be my partner. I don’t want to be alone for the rest of my life 😢
Always love Geert, sound advice But when your partner has passed its more than lonliness, its an emptiness. On one hand I miss the man himself but I remember him with joy and tears 😊 but I miss the relationship I had, I feel so vulnerable not having a man in my life to make me feel safe, and to help me with things I dont have the stength for, and the intimacy, and to make him feel like my king as well. My hubby gave me his blessing to find that again, but in my mid 60s most of my counterparts come with baggage. Geert did distinguish between life worn and broken. He did say its hard work, but at this age its exhausting!
Brian I'm a 69 year old widow who was very happily married for 40 years. He passed just over 2 years ago, and I'm ready to find a chapter 2 but the men I've met have been disappointing, to put it mildly. Thank you for this...I need to know it's not me, not my age or my situation, or whatever.
I love your videos, i love your humour, you always manage to make me giggle. I will always stay until the end🥰. I appreciate how you always reinforce standards are a great thing to have. Cant wait for you to hit 1 million subs❤
Thank you very much for this video, Brian.😊 I love every one of them. You’re very insightful, and your information is valuable. Yes, I would like more videos, such as this one. Thank you!😊 💓
Please tell all your children how amazing they are. If it gives them a big head, life will knock it out of them. Then they will deal with the shock by remembering that you said they were amazing.
I had a guy on a dating app actually say: "please reach out to me when you lower your standards" and I replied with a laugh, thinking it was a sarcastic joke comment and he's like "no, seriously". I just laughed more and said "how about instead you reach out when you level up".
Aww, that was kind of you to ask him to reach out.
😱 That's just disgusting of him 🤢
there is no leveling up from that level of stupidity
Yassss Queen!!
I wouldn't have responded. He's dangerous.
"They don't see your worth as something to cherish, they see it as something to consume" Spot on!
😮 explains alot
A partner, not a project...thanks for these words!
If you arent a priority, you arent with the right person
Well said!
ThankYouBrian 💕Just came across this…

It's peaceful, yes absolutely, but at times it's also very lonely
Thats an amazing saying and its so so true!
Am addicted to being alone!!! Its just so so good. Am so gratefull for it. ❤

AAAWWW!!!😮😮😊❤ YEAH !!!!
Don't listen to what women say. React to what they actually respond to.
Thank you for the advice. I really like it when you say "imaginary daughter" 🥺😊
Me too !!!😊🥺

I always appreciate your kind advice. Some of us ladies need to be reminded or taught that we are the prize. We give so much to men who take us for granted.
Just remember, we don’t all do that, so don't assume.
Thank you daddy Brian!! You are the best daddy a girl could have, teaching those of us who never had a daddy in our lives.
If I had heard even a fraction of this when I was a girl, I would be in a completely different life.
Thank you Brian,
It would have been so nice to have utube 30 years ago
Please make more of these.
I really needed to hear this; especially today.

Me too. Hard to be alone. It is hard to find a good man at my intellectual level. And that isn't unhealed from a bad childhood.
I never see any channels that teach men how to treat women. All I see is how women should deal with all the bad men..
Thank you! I greatly appreciate you and these thoughts.
I'm definitely interested in more of this topic and subject ❤
