My daughter really wanted the Strawberry dress for her ROA/Prom, and asked me to make it and showed me your video. I did make it, just in time, in fact after a 48 hour marathon to finish, only 3 hours sleep I was sewing on the ties, while she was wearing it, seconds before leaving the house. Omg I was not ready for the compliments we both got. She looked and felt amazing, and so did I! I have only tired curtains nets made teddy clothes and a few fancy dress costumes, nothing as detailed as this or fitted. Learnt a lot of new skills, I have never done an invisible zipper before, but I did and its great. Thank you, one very happy girl and super proud mum. Shame I can't show a picture! 🤩

I don’t know why I’m even here, everything about this dress is like opposite of what I like (I don’t wear dresses, don’t like pink and can’t stand the texture of tulle). But you did a great job and look hella good in that! Even if I wouldn’t personally wear it, I can still appreciate the cute aesthetic and good craftsmanship!

I bought a sewing machine with a vague understanding of sewing (aka you should back stitch, and seams go on the inside of a garment) and then started going ham making things and TADA it’s been 4 years and I now know What To Do™️

A suggestion: you can give a cost estimate of the dress you recreate to get a sense of how cheaper it is than the real one.
A lot of people who want to start sewing have no idea about how expensive a project can be, so this information would be super useful!!

$1.50 x 10 + $6 x 4 + (guessing) ~$4 x 3 for the fabric so it's probably around $51 to make
I did the math finding the cost of all the fabric and the needed yards, and it came out to be about $50 (usd)

The best creation, the folds on the front bodies she loosely curved them around the bust area, this gives the bust more room and less bulky... very nice

This is such a good video and showing how you did the different sleeves and then changing the first one, was great. Great idea with the circle skirts under and the top more decorative fabric cut straight so as to really show case the design- just a great idea! Not sure what your plans are, but you could surely sew your way through college. Just keep sewing!
