- In my opinion, this is the easiest and most effective way to automate turning on and off your PC. The best part is, you can connect it to so many smart assistants like Siri, Google, Alexa, and even IFTTT.

Huh, I wonder what genius software they are gonna use to turn on the p-..... its a robot finger clicking the on button... LOL
was lookin how to set up over LAN but this is awesome
I was honestly thinking this was gonna be more elegant. . .but honestly if it works it works. This would be great for a media pc so you can turn it on from your couch.
Hi Great video btw. Just wondered if you know of anywhere that explains how to set it up to work over the internet? I want to use it exactly the same as you to turn my PC on but for me its more about doing it when I'm in the office etc.
yes exactly
One of the Most underrated Underrated videos on youtube . You definitely deserve more views , likes and subs , Wishing you all the best . Keep rocking champ 🤞🔥
Hey thank you! Much appreciate that comment.
I am going to get it. Question: what if the button isn’t circular but a thin piece of plastic? Will it press it properly? Does the button pusher have to be plugged in? Does it stick to the pc with adhesive coating?
I would like to use this to remote acces with my macbook but can you remote acces without the pc being logged in?
Hey, great video and very informative. just a quick question about the product, you mentioned you can activate the Switchbot remotely...... does that mean you can control it from outside your home as well i.e. from anywhere in the world?
Yup, as long as you have the hub with it !
Does it work with Google assistant, an does it run on battery
How easy is it to remove when I don’t want it anymore. Also the hub link doesn’t work anymore, could you reply with a working one
Hi bro thanks for video
Just one question how this device powered by ?
Means it’s work on battery ?
Thanks for watching! Yeah, it’s battery operated - lasts for a long time though, I still haven’t changed the battery on mine.
@@zefitech thanks bro
i want to ask if it will work if the hub is in india and i am in hong kong
Do we need the hub as well to make it work? Or just with the switch it should be fine
To use it over the internet the hub is required. Without the hub it’s limited to close range Bluetooth
Compatible with Google assistant?
Do you have to charge it?
It didn't work for me. Do you have to be on the same Wifi network?
Can it for a long press, like for say 20 seconds if I need to reboot it when stuck ?
It can do up to 60 seconds press
@@zefitech thanks
Soo, you say if i get a Switch Bot and a Hub Mini i’ll be able to turn on the PC from the office?
Yeah!
Yo, mechanical solution? simple and straight foward. I figured I can DIY that with arduino.
Hey man I just got mine and when installed just like yours, the button doesn’t turn on my PC like yours does. It almost needs to be at an angle... can you please verify that it’s flat and just peel and stick onto your case? (Same case just white & white SwitchBot)
Hey dude! I have mine at the edge of the button. I believe the button on that case caves down in the middle so mounting it near the edge is probably best. I would try it at a few spots before peeling the 3m adhesive. If you ultimately need to mount it at an angle you should be able to do that too by putting extra 3m adhesive on the back of the switchbot to raise the back.
I also had the same problem, i couldn't turn on the pc, as if i had to tilt the switchbot, but in the end i tried to attach it anyway and i saw that the small arm stopped and gave the precise force to turn on the pc, so don't worry you can mount it, it's just an initial impression but it works great
Does this work anymore and what if your computer has a password?
Still works and if the computer has a password it will just boot to the login screen
Ever heard something of wake on lan xd
you can do this for free with a little bit of digging
how
Wake on Lan ....
as far as i know (from the 3 sites i looked up) only works on LAN, am i wrong?
Only one dislike
wake on lan much?
Wol needs port forwarding to work from anywhere, and isnt very safe without a vpn
Your not linus, stop dropping tech.
