While it is wired, I really enjoy the Elgato Stream Deck Plus for my couch setup. Its an awesome way to automate PC tasks like joining or leaving discord channels, muting your mic, and easily being able to manage your audio for games, chat, etc.
Xbox Controller are natively supported since Xbox One/Series X|S runs a ripped down version of Windows 10/11, The Xbox Adapter just gives the controller and your pc more stability and also the headphone jack without using the controller wired just like a Xbox.
Xbox controllers use Bluetooth for general device compatibility, but the Xbox (and Windows Xbox Adapter) utilizes a proprietary connection that has less latency, more stability, and audio throughput for the audio jack.
Interesting as my pc does it all the time. I did remove the password and pin and used the netplwiz command to uncheck "require password" Then under settings i removed require password after sleep.
It wil also help to have a sort of "container" for all major PC gaming stores and launchers (Steam, Epic, Xbox, GOG, etc etc) that could automatically startup in Picture Mode, and from there the user could jump between each launcher flawlessy. For example, something similar is available on Legion GO, where Legion Space provides accessibility to all installed games, regardless of which launcher they belong to.
I don't see explained here how you can actually cold boot a PC using just a controller, in the same way that you normally do with console since two gens ago. Is there a way? Any hardware or software requirement?
Does the USB dongle allow the controller to wake from sleep? im using a direct bluetooth connection to the Mobo and i am unable to use the controller to wake the PC. I have had to use a WAL app on phone which is not great. I have used various bluetooth adapters also with the USB config but they havent worked either.
Someone has also let me know about a cool new app. Check it out, but I haven't tried it yet! github.com/Merrit/nyrna This app lets you "sleep" your games just like a console would!

Can you do a preview? Like showing how it looks when you turn on the PC and use it?

PS five controllers work via Bluetooth and direct connection
Not with the full feature set. That requires ds5windows
@@TheBigchekka you arent going to get true adaptive triggers reguardless, unless plugged in
Xbox controllers from series S or above works via Bluetooth too, but the receiver is faster and better support for multiple controllers
@@Firestorm2056 A bunch of games already supported the dualsense feature via bluetooth.
I thought Xbox controllers are natively supported on windows now? What does that Xbox adapter do exactly 🤔
it is still natively supported on windows. the dongle acts as a bluetooth usb dongle.

You can use Bluetooth but it is not very reliable from a distance and has some latency added.
@@norkshit honestly, for the latency I don't notice any difference
You can by pass the start login of windows, let me look for it, I will post it later.
Any update?
You can’t do it
