I have the Gray Edition ANBERNIC 505 and it's totally awesome! I don't care that it doesn't have video output. It is a portable handheld with a 5 inch display, good enough to serve it's main purpose.

@@gravity-zero2917 The 505 is nice and there is also the 405V which is a portrait version. Which ever form factor you prefer is nice. These are both T618 Android ANBERNICS.

For the blue screen issue in GameCube Mario Double Dash, try switching from Vulkan graphics to OpenGL. I'm glad I watched this video, because I had no idea I could change the DS screens by turning the device sideways.
I agree this is my go to emulation device we will see how it stands up to the RP3+ which I should have in the next week or two.

Hi did u upgraded the OS to Gamma OS or just use the stock OS?
The performance for ps2 is what surprises me. But it isn't consistent. Mx vs atv, very slow during races, but free ride works very well. My go to ps2 game is final fantasy x, and so far has worked amazing. I'm not good with adjusting settings, I wish someone would come out with a guide for adjusting each emulator for best performance for the rg505.
theres many guides on the settings
but basically you got to find out where to mess with the settings
first go to the settings option on the app itself and set optimal default or optimal performance then go to graphics and make sure its on vulkan then when u open up games those settings will be already set then
just in the menue in a game click the little (i) icon in settings that will set settings per game basis and
mess with the 2 under clocking options most games will run good by just down clocking the ee cycle rare -50 -60 or -75 % you rarely got to ee cycle skip under clock that will effect how slugish the game feels so only ajusge that if you really have to like the game god of war 2
My only question is if it will work with PlayStation remote play because they don’t support third part controllers unless the company has set their device up to be read as such on the software side.

The battery of this console lasts a loong time you don't need to mind about replacing it
And about the size I think you can put a slightly larger capacity battery there
Powkiddy x18s is better. However mine has stopped working ( boot loop ) three times in six weeks. Can't currently get going a fourth time

You have to try the cable that can implement the video output even on Android phones that not support It! It can work o think

With mmjr-1 I'm getting great speeds with Wii games. 60fps with New Super Mario and Kirby. Could switch tO PAL for better performance with others as well
If you want to test maximum performance on Genshin, try going to Sumeru with hight settings
How do you quickly toggle and test the different image quality settings while in game?

Update the system; one of the first updates main feature was a joystick fix. Seemed to help a lot.

My Sega Saturn , jaguar and GC emulation is very poor. But I can play Saturn nights and Bug! At full speed

I haven't tried changing the battery and I dont know what model the connector is but you definetly won't need a bigger battery

my mmjr2 stopped working the other day too i duno why my sd card got corrupted i redownloaded everything and stuff still downt work well so i use mmjr1 now dosnt run as smooth but i made it work enough

It is not protected you just need to put an sd card reader on pc and run it

Are you talking about internal memory or sd card? If its internal memory I think 128 is fine

If its sd card go with 128, you can upgrade it later
@@VKsChannel on the abernic website they offer the RG505 in one of 2 packages. I assumed it was the sd card. I was asking if the games they offered was worth the price difference. I was unaware that abernic offered the internal system with different configurations.
@@nubialeon5228 I think internal memory is only 128gb I think they are referring to sd card size not worth spending extra money to get bigger sd card since best to use your own sd card.
Good morning, I bought the RG505 and in 16 days of use it turned off and does not turn on anymore. I can't ask for help on Aliexpress and Anbernic's contact asks to speak with the seller. In other words, no solution.
Are you sure it is the console that turned off by itself? Or is it just the screen that is broken?
I had a similar problem on the RG 503 but it was the screen that broke

Don't understand the idiots who buy android handheld devices besides smartphones... If you're buying something like this, you almost definitely already have a powerful phone.
I completely understand that there are differences between a smartphone and this device, but why not go but a ps1, then go buy a n64, then go buy a Gameboy, then a wii, then a ps2.
All of these old systems can be easily emulated and very easily controlled.
The only logical reason to buy an old system is nostalgia. This is a new device, that does way less than the modern smartphone and is overpriced... No point.

Personal answers / what i could think about it, tought i dont have any of these retro handhelds:
- I dont like to play on phone with controller, its just doesnt feel that good.
- And the other: Handheld-device is for: gaming, maybe: some videos, music; Phone: for all of the other things.
- Maybe phone storage is not enought, and there is no sd card slot.
- Its more pocketable than a phone with controller.
- "Then why not just buy an original": Maybe the pepole who buy these handhelds want to do more with it, like: play other systems. And you only need sd card/s.
- More for the nostalgia: imagine you had a GBA SP, and someone now made a similar, but stronger device, and now you are and adult, and you can afford it, so you probably will buy it. Or imagine you dreamed a device when you were a kid like this, and now its real. Or its just looks so damn cool, and can play games you like.
But every time, its not "the perfect" device, always sometinhg is missing, or not right... . So basically they are playing with the customers feelings 😔.
- Some device is targeting only certain retro system, so there is no need to be stronger than a mid/top-range phone, so its maybe cheaper than a phone, and can play games you like in a good form factor; here i thinking about vertical handhelds, and GBA SP-like handhelds like: Powkiddy V90.
- So overall, for the pepole who buy these; the gaming experince, depending on what that person likes, will be more enjoyable, on a handheld device than on a mobile, with controller; and the performance is not important until you cant play the game you want(thats why literally everyone who like these handhelds waiting for one, that can play all PS2, and GC games well).

The main reason one wants to purchase a Anbernic is to play old games on a 480p screen in their native resolution to have the sharpest image. Anbernic also makes a 240p screen for 8bit games from the 1980s like NES, Atari, Coleco, and SMS. Upscaling a 240p image to 1080p looks blurry. Anbernic can support 512Gb SD card and a 720p Apple Smartphone only supports 32Gb-128Gb SD. So the Anbernic can have more games and the correct screen resolution to play your games. Most games 1990-2012 are 480p resolution from SNES to Wii.
