@@f.k.b.16 I had good almost-shoulder length hair in my teens but since my early 20s hair loss has effectively made "bald" my cut of choice, so I am extremely empathetic lol

This is so good! I may not have thought too much of this song when I played through Sea of Stars on my channel, but I don't think I can ever hear it the same way again after listening to this cover, it's awesome! Keep up the good work!

I haven’t been entranced by an OST since Bug Fables and Nobody Saves the World. So many great tracks here. Stars Align on the Assembly Line would be my throw in for a suggestion. Always down for Encounter Elite. Best boss track in quite some time.
I freaking LOVE Stars Align, such a godlike name too. It comes at such a key moment too, really selling the story when it needs to.
And hell yeah the world still needs more Encounter Elite covers. Sea of Stars OST is a BLESSING

It's so funny you'd put this out right after I released my Sea of Stars video where I lament the lack of covers on YT. And what an AMAZING cover this is! I flipped my desk during the breakdown at 2:40, and the solo was absolutely delicious. I hope you'll get to explore more of the soundtrack in the future. I'd melt for a Hills of Determination cover of this caliber.

Hoping for Encounter Elite! and Hills of Determination at some point but tbf this is a really good pick with the groovy tones
I know some people thought Eric Brown's work wasn't as good as Yatsunori Mitsuda's but honestly I beg to differ. I loved so many of his high energy, dynamic comps.
If Hot Head Bop, Barrel Volcano, and Burnin Cycle came before Jack to produce something epicly beautiful.

Baldurs gate 3? Meh... I'm more of a live action dark alliance guy. The board game stuff isn't for me... Perhaps we will get a true dark alliance 2 sequel!
Totk? Best dlc ever but not a new enough experience to grant game of the year if you ask me...
Alan Wake 2? Still a joke compared to the best horror games like silent hill 2 if you ask me...
Mario Wonder? Arguably the best side scroller mario but should a side scroller really get game of the year? Psh not really...
Spider man 2? Kool and all but I've grown fairly tired of these... Arkham, god of war, dantes inferno, dark siders, ninja gaiden, dmc, assassins creed etc etc...
RE4make? Part two was done better if you ask me. And that was bs that they launched it with no mirco transactions only to add them in a week later!
Just my opinion. And some facts...
Meanwhile some smaller indie game called sea of stars happened. It clearly pays homage to mario rpg and chrono trigger from back in the day but I'd argue the story telling is better, challenge is better, they do these crazy effects with the lighting in this game, the platforming stuff and puzzle stuff is a step up from what you got with these kinds of games back in the 90s. It's a wonderful game! And they are patching coop mode into it like wtf! Taking inspiration from secret of mana as well??!?!?! Sea of stars is great!
The best part in my opinion is the music though. Eric Brown is just like us. Grew up playing these old 90s rpgs and now look at him, he just made a sound track for the game that's amazing and he even got help from Mitsuda the legend himself!
So yeah I'm all about this game haha.
Yeah honestly if we could have the story possibilities of BG3 with an updated version of BGDA hack and slash dungeon crawling that'd be an instant yes from me. I've held off on BG3 so far because I've tried CRPG style before and felt kinda' overwhelmed 😢. Too dumb I guess
Lol I call Sea of Stars "breezy" but really it was just dummy simple and even so I was very there for it. Beautiful and JUST enough story/mechanics to keep me engaged.
