Malo is known for its blend of Latino, Rock, Jazz and blues. The band had a humongous hit with the single “Suavecito,” which became a low-rider classic, and has gone on to release several albums.

I discovered this song at 13 in Mexico City we were going through a terrible family crisis.
I agree Linda I grew in the city with the santana malo family there gone and very old like me the Barrio latinos have died moved retired but the latin legends like santana,malo el chicano ,azteca,sapo will li e forever in music and who are still around will. Ndver be forgo,viva latino rock of the OG tunes
I found the song extensions and breakdowns to be exciting however, no disrespect intended, but the lead singer here was off-key throughout most of the songs he sang. Other bands handle this more elegantly by having a younger singer as well who can hit all the notes perfectly, and you just dial down the elder lead singer and let it blend. But much harder to do when they are riffing.

So sad... all the incredibly talented former members of Malo are gone. None of these current musicians can replace Arcelio, Gabe Manzo, David George, Tony Menjivar, Gibby, Ramiro, and the others. These guys unfortunately, in my opinion, lack the charisma, pizzazz and passion of the former "MALO".
Don't forget Richard Bean
Surely you have to mention Jorge Santana, Abel Zarate, Richard Kermode and Pablo Telez who were pivotal to the early Malo sound.
Or Raul Rekow
The legacy goes on however.
