Not necessarily true. Square deliberately shows a little too much because apparently that's what entices Japanese audiences. Someone I know in Japan explained that over there watching the ending of something makes them want to see how it gets there. This is why they showcased the hell out of KH3 and left almost nothing to audiences imagination. They wanted us to see the main pieces out-of-context then have us watch how it all properly compiles together.

Fighting the Turks, Sephiroth stopping the party, all from og obviously things are changed, but it's all pretty close to the OG. As Remake showed, things are not gonna be the same and will take drastic turns. Something big is gonna change, and we are not ready.

The whole arc is Doom imagery. 4/29/2024 - Leap Day, originally holiday for a Roman god of boundaries...what happens to boundaries? They get crossed...over. Everyone thinks Aerith or Zack will crossover, due to marketing. But Doomguy is crossing over.
IT'S CRAZY also I don't think Aerith will die cause it doesn't make sense that Squire Enix would market her death like it's too obvious plus about it ,they kept teasing that Aerith can be saved and they said her fate will surprise the new and og fans too so i have a good feeling
They're not hiding her being brutally murdered because her death is as mainstream to videogames as Vader being Luke's father to movies. If you don't know the story, you won't know what's coming for Aerith by watching the marketing material at all.

Do they have to go into Cloud's mind? He remembers killing Sephiroth this time (the big reveal in the OG). Zack can save Cloud too - he knows Cloud is "real" and not just a Jenova creation (if following the gaslighting of the OG anyway). But Zack doesn't know he's "back", he just didn't die this time. Killing Tifa makes total sense for Sephiroth - he's trying to keep Cloud angry and confused. He's focused on sowing doubt in Cloud's mind about her already. And killing Aerith was Sephiroth's mistake in OG anyway. The question still remains: who or what kept Zack alive? Motives matter.
The last scene where Cloud says "No" while swinging his sword is his intervention in stopping Sephiroth from impaling Aerith at the Forgotten City. Slow it down and you can see it before the scene changes. You can see Sephiroth falling down with his sword pointing downwards about to stab Aerith as Cloud tries to stop him with the Buster Sword. Timestamp 5:19.

It’s pretty clear there’s 2 Aeriths, one with the party, and one with Zack. One can therefor assume one will live, the other will die. Either way, she has to die at some point given the remake trilogy will line up with Advent Children. Hell, she might even live through Rebirth and die in the 3rd game, but she will die regardless. The story demands it.
There is no need for her to die to accomplish what she needs to do, in the original she was coming back to Cloud, and didn't wander off to get herself murdered on purpose, it was done for shock value, it was going to be Aerith or Barrett.
spoiler alert : aerith will die, but her spirits will live and travel into another timeline where zack is alive, then she will remembers everything and give the holy materia to cloud while he doesnt remember a thing or even know who aerith in the 1st place, since its their 1st time meeting each other in cloud's point of view in that timeline where zack lives. the idea is to make sure to avoid ff7 advent children event not to take place from happening. meaning the ending is the whole new one we never see before.

Unfortunately no. So here's the truth- The "Remake" trilogy is really a reboot trilogy. It's taking the original concept and reimagining it for the modern era. It tells the same story but also adds elements that were never present in the original story. The remake trilogy can be played without playing the OG. But it won't be exactly the same game. The original story played out in a very specific way, with certain deaths crucial to the overall plot. But in the Remake trilogy, they seem to be changing some things. In short, Remake and Original = Similar Story, different versions.
It’s a remake. In a remake you are allowed creative liberties. It’s a re-telling of an almost 30 year old game that has had a lot of supplemental content in the years between, like crisis core and advent children.
They have already gone on record to say that the game will not deviate from the original too much so that the events remain the same so that Advent Children is unaffected ... meaning Aerith still dies. What I think will likely happen is that she will not die in the same manner and at the same time or place as in the original game. I think perhaps her death will be delayed but ultimately she will die. And I ain't an Aerith hater, I am the biggest Aerith simp you will ever meet! I obviously want her to live but that would also change the game and cheapen the experience of the original game. All I know is that Avengers Endgame made me tear up and seeing Aerith die in 4K is going to kill me. I will be a total emotional wreck.
For me, it would be much more impactful if she is saved. It's been 27 years since her death (for us that played it in 1997). I've already seen it multiple times. Seeing her live, that would be incredibly impactful. I would cry tears of happiness because it's something I never thought I would see. I lost my Dad 3 years ago, seeing him again would be an incredibly emotional experience. I know that is different ( I also know I'll see him again in heaven) but just saying, I think it doesn't cheapen the experience of the original, it just makes it all the more emotional. It also makes it great to be able to play both like this is the sequel. Clouds revenge/redemption sort of speak. Just my thoughts and feelings. Regardless of what happens, I can't wait to play this game.
I am in the opinion that all the subterfuge is there to 1000% feed you with hope. Only to drive a stake in your heart just like how the Masamune will plant itself deep down.
We don't know what will happen AFTER that scene, but we know that scene is happening and Aerith will end up on the floor bleeding to death while we fight Jenova to the tubes of Aerith's theme. Also, that scene will be hilarious if they opt to go bloodless. Comical, even.

That Midgar that was seen in the trailers at first I thought was the original but it is not, I think the Midgar that was seen in the trailers where Zack is this is a new Midgar and timeline manipulated by Sephiroth in that Midgar Aeris is already dead , and you see a poster with the faces of Cloud's friends with a cross that I think Shinra's friends killed them, leaving Cloud and Zack alive. That's my theory, I don't know if it piqued your curiosity.

@raymond9290 - They mean Aerith went off on her own to go to the Forgotten Capital, and the rest of the party followed after her. This could be when she's already inside praying, and Sephiroth is trying to slow the party down or stop them from reaching her in time.

We don't know what will happen AFTER that scene, but we know that scene is happening and Aerith will end up on the floor bleeding to death while we fight Jenova to the tubes of Aerith's theme. Also, that scene will be hilarious if they opt to go bloodless. Comical, even.
You don't know that, the ending could be quite different from what you expect.

@@ARUUU_I would like to share with you a theory of mine, the reason why Zack is seen in a completely different Midgar.
That Midgar that was seen in the trailers at first I thought was the original but it is not, I think the Midgar that was seen in the trailers where Zack is this is a new Midgar and timeline manipulated by Sephiroth in that Midgar Aeris is already dead , and you see a poster with the faces of Cloud's friends with a cross that I think Shinra's friends killed them, leaving Cloud and Zack alive.
That's my theory, I don't know if it piqued your curiosity.

5:10 i only see cloud, tifa, barret, red XIII, yuffie and cait sith but no aerith. I guess she's already dead by this point more over it looks like the scene are in the forgotten capital

@raymond9290 - They mean Aerith went off on her own to go to the Forgotten Capital, and the rest of the party followed after her. This could be when she's already inside praying, and Sephiroth is trying to slow the party down or stop them from reaching her in time.
@@FenrirInFlowers I doubt that because that scene is like the final battle scene in FFVII remake with sephiroth where debris are flying everywhere
