Thanks for the shoutout! I love that you tried it out too! I think I used a bit more ink on my card. Maybe that's why it worked better. Also I only leave it to dry for less than two minutes. When I use this technique now, I just put a paper towel over the stencil, push it a bit down with my hands and take it of again. I loved your reaction! Tfs! Hugs from Holland!

Maybe you liked the ones better that you stamped into because the stamped ATCs printed the large inside of the stencil and not the, basically edges of those larger insides. A stencil with smaller openings and larger lines may be a better choice to get you close to what you want using the spray technique you were using.
Stacie, I think you need to put the ink on the paper without water. Spray the stencil, set it down and wait for it to dry. Only the wet stencil area will be oxided and you will have a more defined pattern. I haven't worked with the oxides, but think you may be trying to oxide an area that has already been oxided, so there won't be a change. I would try not wetting the ink on the mat. Put the ink on paper, then add the water. Then your paper will have more patterns. Love your channel and look forward to all your videos.
Ohhhh so you think by me putting it on my craft mat and spraying it with water, it was too watered down already? See i didnt think that mattered because you know how you can apply the ink using sprayed down ink on your mat and then also then respray droplets onto it after it dries and get an even lighter affect? That was what I was going for...which is did work, kind of but first I didnt use enough water on the stencil and then the second time, I used more water but then didnt let it dry long enough. Either way, I will surely try this again and thanks for giving me that suggestion cause I will def try it that way! :)

Hi!! I ordered the 2nd set of colors right after Tim announced they they were available!!! I like you I love the new colors...they are me also!! That spiced marmalade does seem to take over everything :( ....my favorite of the new colors will probably be...all of them!!! 🦋
You don't have to be jealous to me, cause I have waited a long time to get even those first colors. Now I had a little money to order a few colors of them. I hope to get some day more money to get all 12 and then those new colors too. I love Oxide. My craft friend borrowed me those colors a few time ago and I fell love with them

ohh got ya... yeah sometimes youtube will set the settings to a lower resolution and especially if you are using an ipad or any kind of mobile device, it is going off your internet connection so if it wasnt good at the moment you started the video, it prob started playing in a lower resolution...if that ever happens again, just restart the video :)
Hey Stacy, how are these different from the Dylusions inks (aside from them being in ink pad form)? With the delusions inks, you can get that faded droplet look or use stencils and then blot off ink with a baby wipe. I'm just curious because I haven't bought these oxides yet.
Dylusions inks? You mean sprays? Ill assume you mean the sprays. Well the oxides are very very different. The sprays are not remotely the same chemical makeup as the oxides. the oxides are a pigment and dye fusion so they show up on dark papers real well and when you spray them with water, they oxidize. you are better off going and watching some of the videos tim holtz has on them to see all of what they can do cause i can not explain it here in words but trust me they are nothing like dylusions sprays :)
I see this on several sites. I noticed that it failed there as well. But joggle s did this with distress she wiped the wet away or rolled with paper towels. Try the baby wipe to remove pigment.
I think they turned out really pretty. I was tripping on the image I was seeing in the upper right hand corner of your non-stick mat. The light reflecting on it towards the end looks like a woman throwing her head back & belting out a song. Janis Joplin maybe? Check it out right around the end before you put the atc up there in the corner & covered it up. Trippy.
HI, I love your videos, but I have a question about your fairy backgrounds that you did back in February and I didn't know how to explain mail you, any way you used glossy paper on some of your backgrounds, but I was wondering get if you could use yupo and how you think that would work. thanks . I am new subscriber and am just trying get to try my hand at mixed media, your videos are really making it not look so scary. LOL
yeah I would imagine you could use yupo, i dont see that being an issue. I dont know though cause ive never used yupo but from what I know about it, it should work fine :) Thanks for subbing! Welcome to the poodle pack!

you have to blot the wet ink off after you stamp the wet stencil on it. And it you dry it first it won't remove.

when it is dry it will layer.

Were you referring to Salty Ocean? Some of the colors "oxidize" better than others.
