Almost certainly. I feel like Medivh is the character they were hinting at when Holly and John were doing that interview and John said characters you won't expect are coming back and Holly was like don't say anything! Obviously I have no proof of that but it's the feeling I get
As for me, I came back to ensure that there would be a future, to teach the world that it no longer needed Guardians. The hope for future generations has always resided in mortal hands. And now that my task is done, I will take my place... amongst the legends of the past. ---Last words from Medivh.

Yeah but like, how can he ignore all the shit that's been going on in the recent years/expansion? He isn't dead as far as we know he just, left off somewhere after the third war ended.
It's really weird that someone so bent on making sure the mortals had a chance to live on would just let them potentially die to the literal gods of the universe type powers.
Imagine if Medivh returned in Warcraft: Legion.

The fact we cut off the twisting nether in Legion and didn’t find his spirit in Shadowlands makes me think his sprit is stuck in Kara as an advisor to Kadghar and a bit of a blockade so the demon’s can’t use the tower’s magic. His resurrection left him unable to cross over. I think the only time we will see him again is if Kadghar is about to die.
I wouldnt mind bringing him like they did in Legion: to give some advice, boost hype and disappearing again.
I hope they don't bring him back. not because of dislike of his chtr but due to how blizz has treated iconic chtrs they bring back lately.

If they bring back medivh which I don’t think he will be in the same capacity but I feel he should only be a cameo if we do like secret finder discord stuff. Like only bring him back for clues and fun side things don’t make him a main player again. Like you said his story is over.
One character who I have felt has been missing for awhile is Gallywix. Ever since the end of BFA he has been awol. I wonder if he will end up being a dungeon boss or a raidboss in the coming days.
That'd be a waste.
Medivh's story has had so many retcons that it will be completly different by the time of the next expansion.
Medivh is Locus-Walker. He's hiding his identity, from the dreadlords I presume.
With what's going on at start of TWW, there might be somewhat of a reason to at least visit Kara to try and consult him...
Only way I can think of bringing back Medivh that would be good would be by having him be a target. He wants to lay low, but he's targeted because someone wants to somehow steal his power, or maybe thinks they can corrupt him, or whatever. So your goal would be protecting him and maybe fighting alongside him, and helping make sure that his power wasn't turned against Azeroth. It would let the story stay the same if you do manage to keep him safe, and if he somehow does have his power stolen or he's corrupted it would actually help prove his point and hammer home just how bad the idea of a single guardian actually is.

Medivh still has power, he could temporarily return to assist Khadgar, preventing Khadgar from dying needlessly in taking down a big bad, then transfers his powers to all Mages before he chooses to perma die whilst all his echoes return to his body to vanish in smoke (How mages gain hero spec in war within?)
when i saw him coming back in Karazhan at the end boss i was confused.
is that his image/clone but he is dead right? still confused by that.

I think Medivh will show up when our adventures take us beyond Azeroth once again. When we are forced to strike out at the forces coming for our world.
the place for medivh return should have been legion. being just another powerful mage could have made less deaths in the war....
I said this before Dragonflight launched. Medivh is simply too big a character in lore to be left on the sidelines
Is Medivh still alive or in between life and death at this point with the Old Guardian that explored beyond space and time? After Legion he up and left the dungeon leaving alot of unanswered questions about everything during Warcraft 3 and so on.
The only traces of Aegwynn in game right now that I think of, seem to be part of the Tomb of Sargeras. I'm unsure as to where she is, either.
There were rumors that she was the powerful old mage "Tabetha" in duskwallow marsh but she's not there anymore in game

They should have released Warcraft 4 to go alongside the legion expansion
Definitely agree that Medivh shouldn't come back as a major character, but some quests to see what he's been up to would be interesting. Maybe investigating threats in far-off worlds? Or looking into the void lords?
I'm sorry but the only thing that will happen if Medivh comes back is that he and Chadgar will officially and together hand down their guardian role to someone much younger........ who is female.

For a wisened old man he seems to be incredibly naive when it comes to the races he brought together. None of them have anything in common with each other besides being really good at killing things. You'd think unleashing a race non-native to the world that thrives on conflict wouldn't lend itself well to "building a better future" with everyone else.

I agree with nobbel on almost the entire video.
What irks of me "Retcon MEDAN because of Mary sue and also ruin the storyline Medivh, therefore blizzard retcon him out of existence and everyone who despise medan cheer in yey". While i find it as bullshit. I can suggest to it.
A better way to make medan to return to warcraft. A example would be Jaina Proudmoore brother who was retcon because the game is not canon therefore characters within the game is not canon as far as i know. Guess what, they bring him back to the canon lore. It make sense for him because it is related to Jaina Proudmoore storyline. So why not make Medan brought back from retcon status to canon status.
However he must be introduced into the game properly but with slow and steady approach to see everyone/players react. If they are okay with his return then continue, if not then kill him. Like why blizzard is known for fucking up their characters so i wouldn't be surprised they will make medan dirty for all i know.
Also if they introduced Medan into the game properly, he must have a flawed character, make sense to his storyline within the game expansion (Idk cause everything does not make sense to me XD), nerf him soo much but also give him a challenge to make him the spotlight.
Again that's just me being inhaling copium (Already addicted to a fictional drug and overdosed by it) and does not know much of medan other than watching lore video like Nobbel.

It's already quite clear that Med'an wouldn't work as a character in WoW. If they decided to introduce him NOW, and make him very different anyway... what's the point? You could just make a new character then. The storylines related to Medivh and Garona have played out, there's nothing relevant to use Med'an for now. There would be no point to him being there. So it won't happen.
Now, if you want another sniff of that copium, perhaps what they're currently doing with WoW Classic, pre-TBC in the timeline, could open a possible door for Med'an...

Wanna make him not Mary Sue? Remove it and make him again. Flawed. Make him a different character while retain few characteristics. Simple as that. Obviously it wouldn't work.
