Some important info revealed in this episode with the Raven girl, if the stalker is the college aged person and the father was the middle school aged person at the scene of the crime that would mean if Himekawa is 4 years older than Aqua, you could say the father was only about 11 years old when he had Himekawa. And so the plot thickens…

Kana's state of mind after knowing Aqua and Akane are together will be explored in S3. It actually became its own arc, leading to the "15 years lie" project actually going forward. BTW "15 years lie project" is actually considered cut content from the anime. In the manga, during the prologue (= when Ai was still alive) each chapter of the manga included a small interview on one character about the newly aired movie "15 years lie" which content is basically the whole backstory about Ai's death. People who got interviewed include the main cast in Strawberry Pro (Aqua, Ruby, Kana, Miyako... you name them) and the director (the one who raised Aqua as an actor). From the beginning of the manga, we were basically told that this movie that reveals the dark truth behind Ai's death is part of Aqua's final revenge and should be the closure of this whole series. But the anime cut all the future scenes from the prologue simply just to fit the whole prologue into one episode.
The scene post credits isn't the past it is the future, they are Aqua's father and a new character. Akane deduced who is the corpse when she said "he was your..." (old friend)
There will be a live action adaptation for Oshi no Ko that will be released on Prime on Nov. 28 + Sequel film on Dec 20. And the cast is sooo good. We get to see Ai's death again but this time in live action!
He maybe "chooses" Akane over Kana because last episode he considered him as a danger to Kana's reputation as an idol, he literaly imagined her dead like Ai.

Aqua's entire premise at the end of season one was that Akane understands Ai better than he does. For that reason, he entered into a fake relationship with her, to use her to learn more about Ai, and thus possibly find out who his father might be. However, do you guys think you could mention a single moment or scene, in all these thirteen episodes, where Aqua asked Akane something about Ai? Or tried to create a situation for her to use her investigative skills to get information out of her?
From what I've seen, Akane has given Aqua just as much and more than Kanna has given him. So that's why I believe he chose her. But, yeah, the series is still going and things can change. I was happy to see it though since I am an Akane fan. There's also the fact that Kanna is going to be an idol, and idols in Japan pretty much cannot be in any sort of romantic relationship. If you want to know why then take Ai as an example.
There is a quote from aka that im not sure it is true "I like writing young girls that suffer" or something like that but if it is between kaguya and oshi no ko especially the end of this season it might aswell be true because akane is probably very emotionally confused kana just is never allowed to succeed or be happy and ruby is completely broken. I mean i havent read the manga but hearing Akane manga reader fans bragging about AquaxAkane so i will take their words for that, blue-haired girl might win this one.😅 Not that i care who will win this love triangle, anyone who make Aqua happy is fine and i hope the loser doesnt have to suffer and be happy as well (maybe i’m too optimistic).
