Well well props to the animator for animating Ruby's dark stars so well I got shivers like in the manga too !!! Well it seems the season end I just wished they didn't show the father at the end of the episode cause during that scene there were more dialogue in the manga so I'm kinda sad 😢they cut it too much !
They can probably show 3 seasons and 1 episode. Since it was the season finale, they might have wanted to show his father in a short scene.

The kana's fan simp at the bottom right I swear to u I laughed so hard when he pull out a white glow stick 😂😂 Also he is gonna suffer a lot in the next season because of Kana next situation 😭 I wish him and all kana's fan good luck for the next season (even I will suffer I suffer in the manga, and I don't want to suffer even more with the VA and the animation 💀)
You should not expect these things if u are watching anime that isnt completely romance. My expectations are low for romance because i think thats not main point of story but i m anime only so who knows if they will focus later on

Everyones gonna suffer and go through a dark phase especially Ruby and Kana, Akane as well to some extent after that certain chapter.
Atleast with suffering there will be development for them.

y'all ever heard the "dead cat effect"? to put it simply if you want to hide something from people be it an incident a thing or something else, if you want to draw their attention away from that something you show them something else that is even MORE shocking, and in this video there's a LOT of shocking things happen like ruby awakening her mangekyo sharingan or aqua and akane become official or the dad's face that's why people don't have time to proccess the middle school comment

when the media is after kana for her scandal sleeping with a director aqua divert the media's attention by revealing him and ruby is ai's children, everyone completely forgot kana's scandal

Is the father backstory on s3 ?
Do you guys remember that in the early episode of ss2, they mentioned the screenwriter wouldn't let the story end if it succeeds? The way I see this is what happens right now: I ain't reading manga but this is supposed to be an ordinary anime about the entertainment industry but they suddenly add some supernatural force like a god in the shape of the kid with a bunch of crowns to legitly transfer the hatred to Ruby and further extend the storyline.
I mean, the supernatural element was there from the get-go with the whole reincarnation gimmick. Without spoiling; the god girl provides the answers for that plotline later on.
Actually, the main issue with the manga is the opposite. It feels a bit rushed in the second half of the story. And that's coming from a person who loved the ending.
