    Hello guys. Thank you for the information on spraying. I have had the worst year with Japanese beetles. They have devastated my weeping cherry tree, hibiscus, fruit trees and roses. I have not found a product or a routine yet to help my garden. I’m desperately hoping you could advise me on the best way to keep them under control. I appreciate you guys for giving us gardeners the resources to succeed and enjoy the fruit of our labor!

    I'm lucky to live close to the David Austin nursery here in the UK 🇬🇧. Molineux is named after the stadium of our local football/soccer team here in Wolverhampton. It does need a lot of sun and won't take in particular shaded areas. Another thing ivd noticed with ours is that it doesn't fair well with competition from other roots

    You guys have so many beautiful types of rose bushes. I can say that I attempted growing two. One bush lasted two summers and the blooms did not last long each time they were put out. The second bush would rebloom throughout that one summer, then that was it. Not sure what happened. I would also see the foliage with little holes but never seen any bugs. I wish I had found your channel then.They may have still been alive.

      Roses take patience and time even with the new varieties. They are like people they each have their own personality. You have to get to know them. I do have my Proven Winners roses no fuss always bloom so I always have a rose in bloom. That keeps me happy and let’s me care and enjoy the others that need more care and attention. Bugs! They are always around. We protect with IV Organics but also have invited birds into our garden and they have been helping taking them off the roses and other plants. 🙏💐💚

    Surprisingly, my roses haven't suffered much from black spot, I'm about two hours north from y'all, but I tell you those leaf cutter bees didn't leave not one leaf untouched. And lucky me I have at least three rabbits living in my yard. They're running through my garden as if it's an all you can eat buffet. 😆 Next month I plan to purchased two products that you guy's suggested the trellis and the spray. TFS TTYL

      Hello! We heard about the leaf cutter bees but we have t seen them around our area. Rabbits and deer are around but for some reason they don’t get close to the homes. I hope the rabbits leave your garden alone cute little things but they can do so much damage just like the squirrels we got hanging around. Have a lovely day! 🙏💐💚

    Thank you for the video! I have grown roses for many years - it’s truly a labor of love!! I’m also in northern virginia - This summer with very mixed feelings I decided to pull all mine out because I finally had had enough of the Japanese beetles, fertilizing, pruning, and the neem oil spraying literally makes me ill. Grief then Relief. But I will still enjoy watching your roses in your videos, they are GORGEOUS and imagine they must smell amazing, and I know you must treasure them esp in your secret garden. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE and BE WELL!

      Hello! I’m sure it had to been really hard to pull the roses out but at least it’s something you don’t have to be worrying about. There are many other plants than can be grown that don’t take up so much time. This year has been a weird one fir roses in our garden. Didn’t get as much bloom as past years and some bloomed at different times than usual must be the weird weather. Thank you so much for watching and have a lovely day! 🤗🙏💐💚

    Good morning so today my question is I thought about for David Austin Roses🌹 I had only received one and one of them I do not see any growth just as I received it it is still the same size I have it under a tree but it does give a little sun do you think I should move it to a full sun??

    • @GardenObsessions
      @GardenObsessions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello! And how wonderful you received another rose! I would move from under the tree to more sun. I have Claire Austin in spring when the Oakleaf tree hasn’t put on leaves she blooms wonderful but once it leaves out the tree Claire doesn’t do much. I haven’t moved her because of lack of space. I’m sure if you move your rose it will definitely grow. 🙏💐💚

    • @GardenObsessions

      It dries on and can last for weeks. Even with rain. Applications should be done when you have lots of new growth if you’re using the spray method. If your painting trees then it can last almost 4-6 months I believe.
