    Great message thank you 😊 I love gardening. It reminds me of how God is the vine and we are the branches. When I see a plant grow when I nourish that plant and it grows because of my love. it reminds me of me I seek the lord and he helps me grow because of his love 🎉❤❤ I believe that God gave us beautiful flowers so that we could have joy in our hearts 💕 Gardening it takes us to a world of Peace 😊 just want to share ✨️ 💖

    Good morning and a beautiful Happy Mother’s Day to Angie!! I also see gardening as meditative, really helps to keep me balanced and more centered. And it’s about hope and patience, anticipating the changes of the garden through the seasons and growth cycles - there is always something to look forward to!! 😊🌸

    Ambrose, my introduction to gardening was David Austin roses and your videos at that time were so beneficial! I have been watching since then. I can see the peace and solace your family gets from gardening. I hope you continue to find it in your new place. I look forward to seeing you do it again, start a garden from scratch!

    "Enjoy". Thank you for sharing your reasons for why you love to garden. I can relate to all your reasons and the one that hits home with me the most is the family time together. My Mom's family were Share Croppers so she knows her way around soil.
    We started with roses and vegetable gardens. She's now 91 and watches me from inside most days, but gardening by far is one of my favorite memories of my Mom. Happy Mother's day to Angie and all the amazing Moms who are the super glue to our families!!!🌷

    I got a Gertrude Jekyll rose because of you guys - so inspiring are your videos! As an owner of a small graden I loved this location of yours because it offers a unique combination of conditions - a small garden + shade + pots + an amazing family to take care of it. This is one of my favorite channels and the only one with gardening situations close enough to my own that I find inspiring. Congratulations with these big events in your life and good luck with your new endeavor. ❤

    I've just retired, somewhat earlier than I planned and under very stressful situation. I look forward to relearning how to garden. My grandparents were plantsmen for my first 4 decades and growing stuff is in my blood. You're a better rosarian than I will ever be ( heck, it's rained in East Texas for the last 6 weeks) but almost you make me think about trying one more time. Keep making videos! Love you guys and look forward to seeing what you will do next.

    I loved seeing your roses in bloom. I am eyeing that tTeasing Georgia one. It is beautiful. I planted The Poets Wife in a pot following your method of potting but I used Pete’s Mushroom Compost organic in with a container potting mix. The bush is doing well but it was a bare root and is spending it’s days settling it’s roots and bushing out. Perhaps I will see a bloom later. I also planted Tess of d'Urbervilles and look forward to it’s glory. One immensely satisfying feeling I get from gardening is a sense of how much I am given for so little of my efforts. That especially applies to vegetable gardening. For a couple bucks I get tons of fresh tasting best tasting food.

    There will be many things you'll take away from your time on this base. I hope "I have learned to be content in every circumstance" is one of them. I can't wait to see you settled - your own potting shed (Pinterest has some suggestions ready for you), digging holes in your own land and planting all your shrubs and Angie's favourite roses.

    That’s awesome! Can you help me a super beginner with iceberg roses that are potted.
    I tend to overwater plants and don’t know how much or how often to water a 5gal iceberg potted. People will say oh water about 2 gallons but I have no idea how much that even is. 😅 I live in San Diego California

      Also, how often are you suppose to scrape out the 3” top layer and refertilize/compost/re-mulch
      Is that just once a year right before summer?

    • @GardenObsessions
      @GardenObsessions  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! Feel three inches deep of the soil in pot if dry, water till you see water run out through the bottom of pot. That means the roots got a good soak and make sure it’s getting water all around not just one side. Usually once temperatures get hot pots we start to water once a day early morning that way we don’t give the rose time to get sad because it needs water. With time you will start to see when it needs it and start a routine. Hope this helps. 🙏💐💚
