We are finally starting our new adventure on a new island! Which map am I choosing? How many restarts does it take? Which starter villagers do we get? Are we cursed with getting only green airports?

🌴 My other island has peaches and a green airport. The resident service building is quite close to the airport. I don't have any rock cliffs and the other end of the river begins on the eastern beach of the island. I love that island but today I'm looking for something completely different! ♡
🤫 Ps. Fun fact! It wasn't actually Jan 19th when I was filming this, it was Jan 24-25th soooo 🤣 my one brain cell wasn't working (is it ever tho) loool. However the island bday is on the 25th because I did realize it at some point!

This video reallyyy motivates me to keep trying. I've NEVER reset my island before and deleted my save data yesterday, and oh my god it takes SO much patience to find the perfect island. Literally all I want is a yellow airport but the game absolutely hates me and I've been trying for hours. I just NEED brown streetlamps :')

Yeah I got green airport and peaches b7t I wanted exsct villagers and now because its so hard I just want green airport and peaches buy if I'm honest it is so hard to get rid of jocks.
My criteria for my new map:
•Peninsula nearer to the bottom on the right
•Peer on the left
•East river
•Resident services and airport slightly out of line on the right
•Orange airport
•Either Peaches or Apples
Starting over is fun but frustrating 😂 I'm sitting here, 5 hours trying to get a good balance of island layout, airport color and fruit. I don't even care about villagers as I'll use amiibos if I have to

I just started my new island and got my dream island on the second try! I want to make a cottage core island and got a far away resident services (in which I wanted), an orange airport and cherry’s! I’m soooooo happy

Frita and Billy are cute! And because I wouldn’t probably normally go for them it’s kinda nice to have these villagers on the island for now ☺️ something different for a change! Can’t wait to play on this island!

I had no idea about map choices and starter villagers/starter fruits when I started. I’m nearly 2 months in now so too late. I’m not even the Representative on my island! I’m attached to my starter villagers now though (Iggly and Plucky) and actually got quite lucky with my map and starter fruit (cherry) Also got the orange airport. Was maybe a good thing that I didn’t have too much choice! I’m so indecisive 🤷♀️
It's so difficult to restart when you know these things bc like I got so picky with the maps it took me ages!! So maybe better not knowing! 😂
Wish Nintendo added on able to choose native fruits and airports colors geez.

It can really take forever (even more than a day because the starting dialog takes sooo long it kinda drove me crazy after awhile haha)! I'm glad you found a map you like, orange airport is the best! ^^

I still haven’t gotten my dream island sadly. I’m happy you were able to find yours in 3 hours! I’m really impressed!✨ I started December and it’s now may! Granted I didn’t do it continuously because I burnt out and got lazy trying but still- island hunting is truly grueling isn’t it! 😭

i love the blue airport with peaches, i got my dream island!
my criteria:
- cherries
- blue or green airport
- biggest peninsula
- secret beach pushed to one side
- tidepools
- one east river mouth
- farther resident services but a little far from river mouth
-peninsula close to back rocks or rivermouth

I clicked on the video thinking the two were Dom + Pashmina (my two starters) and I thought it'd be cute considering I have never seen anyone with my same two starters.. only to find out that they were two different sheep and goats 😭

i had no idea the color of your airport is linked to the color nookmile items? I thought it was al random haha. I don't want to start over but if I did my perfect island would be a decent amount between airport and perfect aligned with resident services :)
It affects 8 items e.g. the lamp posts, monster statue and snack machine if I remember right and the rest is random (there’s a link in the description box to the article that explains it more) 🤗 on my first island I had no idea about anything!

Yesterday, I received my new OLED Zelda switch and I was SOOO excited to finally have two islands!
Took me roughly two hours to find my perfect map. My criteria was:
- needs to be different from my other map (no river mouth on the left)
- orange airport (my og one is blue :D)
- a lot of rocks on the beach and if possible one in the water
- no pears and no apples
Well... I have apples now 😂 but other than that, it's the perfect map :3 (I didn't want apples bc I have them on the other map.. but it fits the island theme so I can live with that xD)

This really motivated me because from your video it looks like happily ever afters do somewhat exist ^^ I’m not gonna give up on getting that perfect island!
I’m willing to let Kappn’s dock and the little protruding island be placed wherever but I’m still pretty stubborn about the fruit, airport and position of the secret beach. I want it either on the rightish side of the leftish side and very much not on the middle- but preferably I really want the secret beach to be on the right side hehe.

I deleted my old world and after a day and half of being way too picky I settled on a island that made me happy enough maybe not as delulu perfect as I’d like it to be but it has a lot of the criteria I was looking for including a big beach area, resident services very far away, blue or orange airport, and peaches and I got all except peaches I got cherries but I don’t even mind I think it compliments the blue airport I got anyways
I restarted a couple days ago and am still rerolling islands. All I want is Resident Services to be a good distance from the airport, a native fruit that isn't cherries (I don't have NSO so my brother is the only person I can play with and he has cherries for his native fruit), an airport that isn't orange because I just don't like the shade of orange the game uses, and Antonio for a starter because he's my baby and I want to experience my entire island journey with him. So far Antonio has only appeared for me on islands with cherries or orange airports. :(
An apple lol you expected something else? I actually did find the villager Apple while hunting on my second island today. Super jealous, your island layout, airport color, & fruit is what I want whenever I start a third island which I am considering doing once I've moved into a new place.
I got peaches so many times when I finally found the perfect map I was just super happy to get anything but peaches (it's the native fruit on my other island so that was the only fruit I didn't want) XD wishing you the best of luck on your new island if you're starting one, hope you get the best map & fruit & airport color (for me it took so long though I was doign this for 2 days ahahah) 🤞😊
@@Cinnamilla Thanks & ouch that's rough. My native fruit for my first island is cherries so when I started my second, my main requirements were that my native fruit not be cherries or pears because I just don't like pears & that I had more rocks on the beach because I didn't have many rocks on my first one which is a bummer, I wanted more beach space in general because my first island just feels like there isn't enough beach. I ended up with peaches as my native fruit on my second island which I'm happy with. I actually got Cherry as a starting villager & she was on my list of wanted villagers to hunt for because I was going food theme & I had Frita in New Leaf so my choice sisterly was Cherry & I didn't even need to hunt for her. Whenever I do get a third island, I really want apples & a orange airport because it's different from both of my islands. I find it funny you got what I wanted. I would take oranges too but given my mom has oranges & one of my close friends has oranges, I'd prefer apples.
I wish we could skip or speed up their talking. Timmy and Tommy could talk the hind leg of a donkey! Mind, they got it off Tom, ugh lol. I’m restarting my Island now ready for the update and dlc. I was going to wait for the actual day but then I’d have to wait until I have the basics built.

I also struggle on which hemisphere to pick. Having the same as mine is handy for remembering but also, I’d like it to not be freezing in game when it’s also freezing outside lol
My very first island i didn't know i could close the game if i didn't like the layout for one thing, the second thing was i realized too late 6 months into the game how much i disliked my map, everything was wrong with it, the residence service was practically touching the beach and obviously nowhere in sight of the airport, the beach rocks, all of them were very small, the biggest one could only hold 2 chairs and a table nothing extravagant, my peninsula was the thinnest one available, and my secret beach was far off to the side.... I didn't mind it for that island and i played it for a year. Now i'm making a new island themed in Isle Delfino. I refuse to settle, i need the residence services to not only line up with the airport because it makes sense for Delfino plaza, but it also needs to be some distance away to leave room for an actual town that's centered around it, and i don't want anymore tiny rocks and thin peninsulas like i had with my first island!
I got my switch ACNH ed too just this January and did messed up transferring so I started a new island... I never realize that the color of your airport would affect your items as well until I restarted. 😂

I don’t care what the color airplane is it’s just I want apples to be the native fruits since peach and pear needs both soft wood and wood while the orange only requires wood for the 1 plot while the cherry requires clay and iron nugget where both can be found in stones while the Apple is balance it needs both wood and iron nuggets

So i need not too much space but not too little between town hall and airport, yellow airport, and cherries. Im getting good luck with the cherries but i keep getting an orange airport. When i find a good map that is. Ive been sitting here for 2 hours
Edit: i was so tired i decided i would take just cherries. On one island my friend said “i think this is the one” and well it was. I jokingly said “imagine it has a yellow airport” AND IT WAS YELLOW
I restarted this island today at my friends house (the one i was talking about previously) which wasnt a very great idea because I used her island to put some of my stuff. The timing also sucked because i had to leave before i got to get my stuff on the new island. Ill have to get my stuff next week because she can only call on weekends and since i restarted i cant talk to her in the game.

Fruit and villagers are last thing we should consider , first thing was layout and airport colour since that cant be change. you can hunt villagers you can also plant other fruits on your island which can be earned by mom’s gift, mystery island and from villagers. i regret it a lot because i have many fruit type on my island and good villagers but shitty layout 😭
It was Christmas yesterday. I got a new Switch and i can make an new Island now. I dont know how Long it will Take bc i have very long list in Things that i want on my Island. I want an Orange Airport bc im looking for wihte streetlamps. Im looking for an Island where the Resident Services is very very far away from Airport. I realy want pears for my fruit, but If i dont get them and get the perfect Island i will Not reset bc of that. I will take me so long but wen i get that Island i woud be so happy

What does the airport color have to do with anything? Is it just the color you want or ?
It determents the colors of some of your nook stop items like street lamps etc ^^

It’s interesting how many animal crossing players will keep resetting their game for HOURS just to get the perfect map 🗺 layout. I do this too . It’s just so different from how the original GameCube version was.
