Does anyone know if the early Floyd BBC programs will be released on DVD?...the early BBC series like Floyd on Fish, Food, France, etc. It would be great if all these would be released. Maybe a campain should be started to get it all released on DVD?
1 tablespoon water 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar Pinch of saffron 2 to 3 slices white bread, crusts removed 3 to 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped 2 large egg yolks 1/4 teaspoon chili powder 1/2 cup olive oil Pinch of salt
@DeniseMeep Oh he died? That's too bad, I ate at his place in Thailand in 2007 or so, he was not there but it was a nice place. I heard about him fainting and such, oh well, he lived the life! RIP
DjmisplacedmarblesTV: Not that much nowadays, if you live in the Mediterranean (where I believe they are) where the langoustine actually come from. I mean, it's an above average price and it's not your weekday meal, but it's certainly do-able on a Saturday night, if your normal "fancier" meal of the week is steak, duck, a nice piece of fish or seafood. And it feeds two or three people.
Like anyone would ever make that at home, lmfao. I guess people watched it for the personality of Floyd. That dish looked like way too much work to cook and way to much work to eat. It's not even a stew, its poached fish in a sauce.
verbusen I cooked it at home in the mid 80s, attempting to court my future wife. It worked but I wish it hadn’t . She left after a couple of years. However the meal was great but cost me a small fortune.
MrCorith i have to agree with you, Keith Floyd was a great man and a great entertainer, but he cooked some real shite, stuff i wouldn't give to a squad of pigs
One of the first jobs I had was with Keith in his pub in Tuckenhay. I shall miss him greatly. the world was a better place with you in it my friend!
Attempt what Floyd is doing and you will see what a genius he was. Not the cooking but the presentation and the way Floyd made it so irresistible.
I love watching this guy RIP Keith you will always be remembered
RIP Keith Floyd
Beautiful food prepared by Keith. Love you for your passion, and will do this for you!
Bless him!❤
Great Keith moment in time before the BBC sailed gently down the river
Good bye Keith, I'm having some wine for you now. R.I.P!

The legend himself, looking very unsteady. That Hair Of The Dog clearly didn’t help much.
My goodness, this is from way back...early '90s or something. I barely remember this guy.

completely disgusting, unappetising dish!
Huh?! Would you prefer TV diners, Pop Tarts, Taco Bell...?
MrCorith you clearly know nothing about eating and drinking!
