That’s what I was wondering. I thought it was standard. Plus the way she demanded he fix her car immediately it might’ve been good to get her ID to verify it was even her car. He would’ve needed insurance in case she complained and refused to pay. But license and VIN at the minimum.
@@lydiapetra1211 when I get an oil change they write down the make, model, mileage, year, and plates as well as my name and address for some reason and this is just for an oil change
@@stevenandcarminabeedle9089 that’s another thing u just made me realize he never even asked if she was paying outta pocket or if she had an insurance claim… this story is starting to sound a little fugazi
He's a good narrator, but i wish he'd do a better job weeding out all of these karen stories about "I'm a 20-something female and I'm so hot and sexy and some guy creeped on me and now I'm all traumatized" (YAWN). I have to skip every other story because it's always another karen story written by pretentious woman who thinks someone, somewhere, tried to get down her pants....
REMEMBER! If you're going to be traveling over long distances by road, take these with you: Spare tires, kitty litter to give yourself traction if your car is stuck, a can of gas, a couple gallons of water with some dry foodstuffs in case you get stuck somewhere, a satellite phone, flare gun, and an actual gun. You never know when you may get stuck somewhere before help can arrive
Remeber to not listen when your sleep....His voice is so soothing youll be out within the first few minutes. ❤ I dont mind though, it just gives me reason to rewatch. 😊
I like how the first guy said it’s gonna be a long drive so I can get a nice chunk of podcast in cause I’m a delivery driver too and that’s exactly what I think when I get a far delivery
These sure are scary car trouble stories! I'm glad the victims made it out alive in them. I knew all the people who tried to trick them had bad intentions! You usually shouldn't stop for anyone who's having car trouble because it could be a trap. And you shouldn't get in anyone's car unless you know someone or if it's a friend's family member. Be careful out there, people. By the way, I recognize that line at the end of the video!
Another time I fell in a lil ditch on the side of the road cuz I was looking at my phone and got stuck in the mud. Called the insurance to send a truck to pull me out and it was also on similar dark road and this African nurse in her mid 30s literally pulled over and walked to me and asked if I was okay. She could’ve just rolled her window down but she parked on the side real quick and came to ask me. I thanked her and told her that help is on the way. You’d be surprised how many nice people are out their who willing to risk it to help others which makes me wanna do it too but not in no suspicious dark streets
Just here to say even friend's family or family friends can have nefarious intentions just as much as a stranger can be sincere. TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS is your best bet in any situation.
It made me happy hearing the first story talk about how they listen to podcasts while driving because now I know I’m not the only one. I can’t tell you how many times I’ll have Let’s Read cranked up while driving and whenever I’m at a stoplight with my windows down, people will just slowly turn and look at me like I’m a psycho 😂
Finally!!! A narrator who knows how to pronounce the word "wary!" Every other storyteller channel I subscribe to mistakes it for "weary." Drives me nuts!
U think that’s bad? I like to follow channels about organized crime like the mafia and for some reason they’re all narrated by British ppl who cannot pronounce an Italian word or name to save their lives
So let me get this straight. The autoshop guy worked on this beautiful, blonde, crazy chicks VW Jetta for hours and hours, all the way until 10 pm and didn't have the license plate number (he knew the state but not number) Not to mention yea the woman ran off without making inquiries but was there long enough to play Jedi tricks to get him to fix her car quickly yet he didn't get so much as her name and still worked on the car for hours. Small autoshop or not, helping keep costs down or not, being too nice, etc, it doesn't work like that. I call bull on blindly fixing the car. He at least knew the plate number. He was with the car for hours. There's just no way. I also call BS on being able to fix a VW Jetta in just a few hours, especially if he needed a part. Not in the USA. Funny he never mentioned what was wrong with the car. Story just isn't plausible.
I know many people that are backyard mechanics, and fix cars as a side job. And really the only way you know about them is by word of mouth. They don’t advertise openly to the public. So how did this woman know to bring her car to him. Someone he knows had to have referred her to him. And as was stated. To order a part for a JETTA you would need the at the very least need the VIN#. That being said,NO backyard mechanic would risk going near that car without the drivers info. But then again, this story is bs anyway so it doesn’t have to make sense.
The story is no more fictional than the countless pretentious stories from karens like you who think every guy on the planet is getting down your pants. If we're gonna talk about bullsh*t.....
It still amaze me that , I've driven cars that was old and had some type of mechanical issues with it over long distances and never had any problems that could leave me stranded. That thought come to my mind while driving when i see new model cars ranging from , Bmw's, chargers, kia's, etc. Cars that are so new that that shouldn't have any issues but i aee them on the side of the road more than old raggedy cars lol

People if a brand new car is having troubles that early. They get 3 attempts to fix it. After that, the lemon law officially comes into play. But they went mention it unless u say something cuz they dont wanna have to deal with getting u a new car. They want an easy fix and sent u on ur way.
This is somewhat related to cars, in my story, a car dealership and automotive shop in Santa Rosa, CA. I was then in high school and my stepfather worked doing odd jobs for the owner of that Cadilllac dealership. I remember coming to the dealership with my stepfather one day and noticed a limping mechanic in the shop tending to some car. I thought nothing of that..until later. Apparently, a woman was stabbed many times by her date one night and before she succumbed to her injuries, she managed somehow to crawl to a phone booth and call the police to report who had assaulted her. The assailant was that same mechanic. He was arrested at the automotive shop. My stepfather said he did not understand why that man had assaulted and killed the woman, saying he got plenty of female attention at the shop. Horror!!
Story 4 breaks my heart. Because of these trashy predators, people are afraid to help those who really need help. I would have been suspicious of her, too, and that breaks my heart even more
People. Like those in story 2 shouldn’t get recognition in my controversial opinion. Leasing a car doesn’t always necessarily guarantee a car as much yours as if you bought it. Regardless it’s a shop or dealerships’s responsibility to deal with problems at their expense if they didn’t fix what they were going to or if something else related comes undone or broke after leaving.
Someone asks to use my phone = a call to 911. I drive alone a lot so these scary stories told by the finest narrator on the internet remind me to be vigilant at all times.
They were right to not let the woman with the abusive husband in. People will stick their neck out, get hurt or worse, and the woman will be right back with the man. There have been cases where people's lives were taken trying to help, but the abuser's partner will STILL stay with them/support them from jail. DON'T INTERFERE. Just call for assistance but don't let them put you in danger. --- Also, if a customer is being abusive, don't serve them. Because if you do, they'll find something wrong with the service and cause you even more trouble. The story about the woman who attacked the mechanic was ridiculous. What kind of moron doesn't get information before rendering a service?
