I used to binge this channel. Amazing narrator and beautiful art. And one day he took down a bunch of his videos and seemed dejected. But he kept getting better and better. And 1M subs! A truly incredible channel!
I remember watching an older video and Joel explaining how he had to take down a huge amount of videos because he hadn't gotten full approval to use some of the stories he was narrating. He said his subscriber count was increasing by hundreds of thousands a week, if not a day, but after that mishap the algorithm decreased and his channel took a huge hit in subscribers. I've been listening to him narrate for a few years now and this is my favorite channel. I'm happy to see him finally reach over 1 mil. I can't imagine how big this channel would be had he not had to take down those videos early on.
For story 3. I’m glad the woman was able to get compensated and not go to prison. Abuse of any kind is messed up. I hope she is doing well and not have to worry about sleeping ever again.
@@MasterBuilderDragon Sure, but at the same time there were 2 numbers left behind.. one of them was traced to an unknown person or organization.. probably some criminal organization that caused this kid to take his life

Aw sheet 1 mil? 🎉🎉🎉 I quit watching for a bit, I felt so guilty (and depressed) that my decade long relationship ended and with it my paid channel status (from when it was 1st offered, all income gone btw not just this) and with all the things physical and mental that occurred I never even got to catch up on the membership only content 😢. I'm finally starting to heal and I'm still not bingeing the content here again just yet but I'm dipping my toes back in and I'm so happy for Joel to be getting the recognition he's deserved for a long long time ❤
I really enjoy the police stories man. It's really hard to find any new police stories I guess because there's so few channels covering them or they are just not as widely popular as the other topics but I hope you do many more of the police stories, it really gets the public more aware to what police officers have to go through when people are constantly fed lies about the police and they already have a stressful and heartbreaking job, on top of that their jobs are misunderstood. I am very passionate about police and the job they have to do and how misunderstood they are as well as the public being so misinformed and misled with information from the media that always paints police in a bad light when the overwhelming vast majority of police are good people who want to do good for their community, anyway I'm rambling. Hope to see more police stories for sure!

No, you were listening to a horror story so that’s the only expected outcome. Now imagining talking to a random stranger who’s has a body in his basement, can you really tell that person killed somebody?

That is the saddest story I have ever heard. He should have been released into the general public when it was in jail and let them beat him but don't killem
The end of story 4 - all those cursed random people pulling out their effing cellphones to record a dying man's last breaths, to put the footage online FOREVER for clicks, cash and everyone's entertainment - that's THE main reason for me refusing to leave my flat; I'm old, chronically/terminally ill and logically I didn't grow up with phones, bc they simply didn't exist back then and I genuinely miss those innocent times with less voyeurism. Alone the thought, that this can happen to me while having a medical emergency is equally terrifying and humiliating, as it's completely inhumane ... including the awful idea, that in a worst case scenario I'm not even dead afterwards, but the butt of an online joke I'm kinda still forced to know about. Add to this, that I've a patient's will not allowing resuscitation (etc), NOBODY - meaning first responders - are obliged to honour during an emergency and you get the full picture, why I don't count on "not surviving anyways", (so why would I care, right?). & So I really don't understand, that there aren't several millions more chronically and terminally sick folks with this type of deep rooted anxiety out there - bc I honestly can't imagine, that their own fear of a close death, a fact I've made peace with a very long time ago, could be sooo much worse than this - and btw, I've realized there's truly nothing I miss outside, I'm actually happy I don't have to see all those shallow people including "life saving god-like (deeply selfish) EMT heroes" aka first responders, who of course don't have to live with my non existing quality of life but who want me to survive at all costs and to "live" it.
