Hey, do you have a second channel because there's a TH-cam account called Creepy Ghost Stories re-uploading your narrations as their own? Idk if horror narraratos have multiple totally different accounts?
"So, when my neighbor didn't answer the door upon me knocking, I just went ahead and let myself in to call for my dog. ... I have no idea what set him off that night. "
Right... Had he never interacted with his neighbor before that night but still let himself into their house? Then one neighbor called the police because he knew of the guy being mentally ill but OP was completely unaware?
Wow. That last story really got to me. All that happened and they just slept it off like their friend was a freaking dog. Didn’t call for help so they didn’t get in trouble for what? A blunt? A bit of coke? Very sad 😞
A couple of them definitely aren't true lol but still fun to listen to even if they're fake. Just cringing at the person who thought running and then climbing up a tree was the best option to deal with a bear. No warm clothing or horn/bear spray or anything with zero outdoor experience. Hard to listen to as an avid hiker/forest waking person.
The couple that stayed at the Air b and b story, every person the couple talked to said that they just imagined the masked men because they had alcohol in their system. Last I checked, people don't have the same minds. It's impossible for you to hallucinate the exact same thing. From what I've heard. And since the couple discovered that the airbandb listing had been removed is obviously showing that what they experienced actually did happen. Maybe it wasn't about a robbery at all, since there was no sign of a break-in but maybe something way worse.
Technically, it's possible to have the same hallucination as someone else (mass hallucinations, folie à deux, shared delusion disorder, etc) but as interesting as that is, they are INCREDIBLY rare and not caused by alcohol. Fake vacation listings with nefarious intentions are sadly really common so I do agree with you on that one. Talk about creepy
It's not going to leave signs of a break in if they had copies of the keys... *shudders* And there's ways to get rid of tracks - especially if there was a bit of light snow dusting throughout the night. Hubby and wife were running scared - their tracks are going to be deeper than someone creeping around slowly and lightly. A bit of branch/cloth dragging over the perpetrator's lighter tracks with some slight snowfall would be enough to do it but still leave the Hubby and wife panic prints.
I get the impression her drunk/stoned husband "saw" the masked people and told his wife and his wife just unquestioningly believed him. Kinda like that woman who raised her daughter in hiding, traveling around, and under different aliases because her boyfriend said he had previously been "mobbed up" and now the mob was after him because the police tricked him into snitching on his old crew and then refused him witness protection cause "reasons" or whatever. She just went along with dude like...well, the PC thing to do would be to armchair diagnose her w some kind of "disorder" (as if MH issues aren't stigmatizing enough) and then insist she was highly gullible, when in reality, she was just dumb and didn't have (nor even want) the critical thinking abilities to tell when someone was likely lying to her.
Ooh the scary winter stories are once again upon us! This topic has been able to produce some of the most compelling stories in the past, a few of them utterly tragic.
Some are annoying/cringey to listen to because of how dumb they are lol. A couple of them are hard to believe as someone who has a lot of winter hiking experience.
Story 5: Annoys me so much when parents don't believe their kids when they learn of these stories. I'm just grateful my parents would 100% believe me if anything like that happened to me.
ngl you're one of the channels that inspired me to shift my niche and start going back to my roots of scary stories. There's just something about your voice that's so alluring and captivating. knocks me out after like 20 minutes 😩💘💘
My aunt used to tell us a story about the time she went ice fishing with my uncle (avid outdoors man) the day was going good, but she had stood to get a drink, bait or something random. She went to sit back on her stool but she felt herself falling. She said she knew she was going through the ice and fear hit hard. She was waiting for the cold water. When she landed she realized her stool collapsed and she was safely sitting on the ice. I would love to have witnessed it or video of it. It's not scary like an avalanche or fall into actual frozen lake water but to my Aunt that day she had a terrifying minute or two while waiting for the worst outcome. So glad she didn't fall in or get hurt.
Sound is PERFECT here. Just the right amount of background sounds, not at all distracting! PLEASE JOEL keep this volume of background music/sfx. Its absolute heaven. ❤❤❤❤
Maybe women shouldn’t be entitled and think they can do whatever they want and when they get confronted or get Consequences for their actions they play the victim.
I used to walk in the forest all the time alone but it was because it was my parents property and there was never gonna be someone there except maybe distant neighbors that we let use the trails for dirt biking/4-wheeling. There were definitely times I thought I saw someone and got freaked out and quickly got back home. If it wasn't for those circumstances idk if I would've been that casual going out there lol. My friends and I would go out there at like 3am purposely to scare ourselves for fun, like a real life horror movie. Good times.
I agree with you, it really was a stupid thing to do. However that doesn't give him the right to hold the poor kid hostage for hours on end. Punishment doesn't fit the crime.
OP was outside in the snow looking for the dog and the neighbor came out and then pulled OP into the house at gunpoint. So OP didn't walk inside unannounced?
The person in story 3…yeah you left yourself in your neighbors home and you are shocked that your neighbor told you that you were trespassing because yea you were

Great vid Joel, these were some very unsettling stories. I think the encounter with the naked guy was the one that chilled me the most, the last story was a close second.
As someone who grew up in northern Canada I don't understand how he would even be alive. It's likely he died soon after that encounter if his arms were literally black.

Lol! Prob the same way dude was silently watching the road as the snow fell, then got to an area with nothing but grass for miles, then was back on the road watching the driver white knuckling the steering wheel… and when they stopped, he opened his eyes and saw a clearing. There’s a whole lot of that story that screams ‘I’m 14 and wanna write a scary story that’s ‘true’ so someone will read it on TH-cam and I’ll be cooler than all my friends but have no real world experience to draw from’
