Most of the times, I really get annoyed by these dramatically patriotic/extremely right people in the comment section; who force content creators to make their videos/content in Hindi, as they are indian. @@Love-wz4vg Nope. Hindi is mostly spoken in northern parts of India. The rest of the states except the southern states, can speak Hindi because they know Hindi, however Hindi is not a primary language for them. Hey peeps, stop this argument over Hindi and English. Language, like culture is fluid. India has the largest population of English speakers. In fact, China pays English teachers very well to teach their children since it is useful to know a widely popular foreign language. Now coming to me, I am quite comfortable in English, probably a little more than I am in Hindi, but a lot of the things I talk about are more pertinent information for the Hindi belt. Moreover, while Hindi isn't my mother tongue, it's spoken in my state Odisha too, so I didn't mind switching to Hindi. Lastly, the colonial language argument is stupid. We have a great advantage over China and other Asian countries in the international forum because we speak English well. It does not mean we loved being colonized. We should not attach pride to everything. Some things are just utilitarian.

I am not atheist and I agree with 3 points but how is christian people wearing saree or regional clothes is indicator of "religion doesn't change culture"? Christian people are mostly secular doesn't mean they represent the whole non-indian religious communities. Pakistan today just turned itself into an arab nation vassal which was once home to great gandharan civilsation, greco-buddhist culture and early vedic culture. Its not completely about religion but mostely about religion. Kashmir (once a shaivite region) feels like one of the middle east disturbed region. Religion & Culture, although not same but are bounded together.
Also, the point about Christian people wearing sarees as part of the argument is, dresses in itself form cultural identities. Multi identities are respecting both one's faith and ones creed, aka cultural identity
Buddy, as I mentioned in the line right after the one you latched on to, the culture of any land evolves and changes with time and circumstances. If people choose another religion and opt to dress differently, or assimilate with a different ethnicity of people, it is their choice. You can't just decide that Kashmir should always stay shaivite. Or for that matter, tomorrow, if the USA is fascinated by Hinduism, and wants to convert and wear saaris, will you tell them to stay Christian? My point was that even a change in religion does not fully change traditions and culture. So one should not be too rigid with the idea of culture.
@@nananou1687 secularism is a policy and follower of that policy are seculars. Regarding Saree, I've no problem with it but using it to draw a whole bigger picture is fallacy of composition

My point is culture is a state of civilization and religion is what records it for later generations. Changing religion leads to change in a lot of parts of your culture. Culture and Religion are different but not mutually exclusive infact they're too much of overlapping. The Europe as we know today owes a lot to christianity because it has been founded on Judeo-Christian values, had it been Hindu or Buddhist, it would have been totally different place.
I totally agree with you. The problem is that the people who are very religious have a very narrow perception of culture. They cannot imagine a culture beyond religion and the fact that culture can adapt and evolve. They think that culture is a stagnant concept.

@TheIanPanda not in mauryan times .. because foreign scholers like megasthenes also said that even slaves are treated well.. From the gupta period the cast system started to normalise.. but thats a social problem .. religious texts don't say it directly..
@arunkumarchakrabarty7775 - "Slaves" are treated well. Don't you see the problem with that sentence. There were slaves. But anyway, what is the point you're making? You can't absolve Hindus by saying it's not there in scriptures! Hindus have been practicing it, so much so that even when they convert to other religions, they take caste discrimination with them.
Bhai you said nothing. All you said is insult insult and thats it. They showed points showing Casteism was never originally a part of Sanatan and you didn't even try to disprove it. (Not saying Caste is good. I completely despise as it divides Hindu society and I want Hindus to he united to serve this country) As for Indias culture? It was always Hindu. Buddhists considered themselves a seperate culture but even Buddha himself was inspired by several Hindu Philosophies. And Adi Shankaracharya debated several Buddhists easily and even considered Buddhism to be a part of Hinduism and assimiliated it into Sanatan. Same thing with Sikhism and Jainism and propagated mutual respect and reciprocity. Abrahamic faiths alone were outsider relgions and Islam in particular was vicious as several Hindus were forcibly converted, women sold in harems in Middle East. But eventually even they assimiliated into India's culture thus giving India its present multi-cultural dynamic. For heavens sake Nastiks who denied the Vedas too are considered important people in Hinduism. Brahmins consider Kashtriyas to be inferior, who inturn discriminate with OBCs and Dalits. Even within the Brahmins there are social stratas and the Brahmins in the upper strata discriminate against Brahmins in lower strata. So your understanding of Casteism is incomplete and rather apologistic
I became an Atheist, the day I realised people have misinterpreted the religions and are doing oppositely of what religions wanted to teach to people. I believe religions were introduced for the humanity to stay alive. Humans have multiple problems like ego, envy, etc. Also, if humans don't fear that there's Supreme one, who's monitoring everything, humans might have destroyed each other with those problems. In that case, religions came into play to teach them how to live. What to expect. What not to do and every other nice things. But what's happening in today's society, people are busy proving how their religion is better than others. Also, killing each other to spread it. Wtf! Now, I don't believe in existence of God, but the fact that we must be kind and logical mindset is what needed the most. That's it....

Secular humanism is a philosophy, belief system, or life stance that embraces human reason, logic, secular ethics, and philosophical naturalism, while specifically rejecting religious dogma, supernaturalism, and superstition as the basis of morality and decision making. Secular humanism posits that human beings are capable of being ethical and moral without religion or belief in a deity. It does not, however, assume that humans are either inherently good or evil, nor does it present humans as being superior to nature. Rather, the humanist life stance emphasizes the unique responsibility facing humanity and the ethical consequences of human decisions. Fundamental to the concept of secular humanism is the strongly held viewpoint that ideology be it religious or political must be thoroughly examined by each individual and not simply accepted or rejected on faith. Along with this, an essential part of secular humanism is a continually adapting search for truth, primarily through science and philosophy.

Hello Mr. atheist, every region has their own prospective, what is your prospective about slaughtering and consuming other leaving being as a human also what is your opinion about love, compassion and kindness towards others leaving beings, i really want these answers from an atheist prospective..... waiting for your response from Odisha (Puri)
The word is perspective. I believe in freedom of choice. People have the right to choose what they eat. My views on love, compassion and kindness are the same as any sane person's should be - I think we should treat others the way we want to be treated - that's what society is about.
@TheIanPanda It is not completely acceptable, killing other living beings is not a part of personal choice. Atheists do not promote kindness, compassion and love towards nature. It's ok you can not force but you can suggest. Most of the time I see atheists are targeting only religious practice. They have no content about nature protection. By the way i am also an atheist and suggest you should make a video on this topic.👍
Most of the times, I really get annoyed by these dramatically patriotic/extremely right people in the comment section; who force content creators to make their videos/content in Hindi, as they are indian.
As if Hindi is the only language spoken in India 🤦🏻♂️
They seriously need to get educated about India in the first place.
@@Love-wz4vg Nope. Hindi is mostly spoken in northern parts of India.

I don't even need to tell how strict the southern states are opposing hindi as it is imposed by the people who speaks Hindi as their primary language, which eventually make others native language inferior.
Conclusion, either learn each other's native language to treat everyone equally and respectfully, or just stick with English. But don't impose your one language on others.

@@Love-wz4vg I would had continued this debate, but you certainly didn't get my previous comment and now you are repeating the same thing. Good luck with your delusion.

Christian people are not "secular". Secular is not a trait, tolerance is. Secularism is a policy.
@@TheIanPanda but that was not my point that a nation should always have same religion because even as hinduism today isn't same the it was 3000 years ago.
Brother every region has its culture, which is shape through time. The problem is wherever this supremacist abhrahmic religion went they destroyed it. And you people don't bat a eye about it.
Those who say indian culture is hindu will never acknowledge the fact that urdu, english and other languages are also intertwined with hindu and many other language, but those should stop for a second and speak 100 random everyday sentences, write them on paper and check how many words of urdu and English they speak, and those words are irreplaceable
Indeed. India's culture is Hindustani.
1:24 i think he also meant this.. Hinduism had varna first which was not based on birth. Its become about birth from the time of guptas ...
But Maurya Empire was also more than 2.2k years ago. Hindua have been practicing caste as I mentioned for thousands of years - in the name of religion - so you can't give religion a clean chit. Religion is what people practice.
Bhai mere taraf se Full support hai ❤❤❤❤
Bhai you said nothing. All you said is insult insult and thats it. They showed points showing Casteism was never originally a part of Sanatan and you didn't even try to disprove it. (Not saying Caste is good. I completely despise as it divides Hindu society and I want Hindus to he united to serve this country)
As for Indias culture?
Feel free to disprove me thats your free speech and I respect it but I just wanted to let this out my chest.

@@TheIanPanda well I wasn't arguing with you. I wasn't trying to prove anything. I just said what I think more like a conversation but ig you don't have time for that
Well, you are seeing Castism as a Deliverer-Reciver relationship.
But it's rather Cyclical. Dalits are the Most favourable targets, but OBCs, Kashtriyas and even Brahmins are it's victims.
Caste system is the reason why india was conquered by foreigners(delhi sultans, mughals, english etc) we didn't have unity amongst each other and india was divided into mahajanpads which had different dynasties often conflicting with each other,if all the hindus were united from the start india wouldn't be colonized.
Let's not waste time worrying about 'if-then' scenarios, and work to make today better. Caste system is bad and that is already established - let's talk about how to make it go away.
@@TheIanPandaThe government of India enforces the caste system on its people. Every government sector makes you declare your caste for even the smallest of things. Fake terminologies like Dalits helps no one, the feudal issues between the dalit-subcastes and the rampant discrimination done inside their community is not highlighted. Why should a Brahmin from Tantrik sampradays be blamed for the discrimination done by some other sects of Brahmins. And how come Buddhists are never blamed for the caste system ? Their texts are full with caste discrimination against other varnas and outcasts ? Why are Jains not blamed ?

Humans have united under power structure whether religion or nation
But with growing athism will humans be united
They never become fully united under religion and they will do the same under atheism. Politics and power is shameless they will leach onto any trend, But will never embrace it.
I am a hindu
But i didn't felt offended by any points
These kattar hindus say that vimanas were real
And ancient warriors have destructuve weapons
Then suddenly magic happens
And some people from middle east came
And defeated us 😐
Us samay viman/bhrahmastra kha chala gya 😅😅
मे भी gupta हु भाई
और ऐसे ही सवाल दगता हु तो अंधभक्त गाली गलौज पर आ जाते है 😂😂😂😂
लेकीन जवाव नहीं दे पाते
The reason i think people get thier back up is that its fine to speak about issues , but sometimes its spoken as if everything will need to be torn down rather then the power structures, also i see many indians miss the point and mis out on good teaching moments, Indians lack true secular thought, and many indian TH-camrs dont put forward a good counter to the Muslims and Christians found in the country and an excuse i hear often is , well its not the religion i came from, which then implies to someone that you cannot use rationale to argue , i think the moment atheist in india on a larger scale combat religiousty then they will see more change
You are right boss!

0:50 I was born into the Brahmin caste, and I have a problem with the third point, I firmly believe that our scriptures are history.
Belief without evidence is called faith. There's some text on screen too. Read it. History is usually corroborated with evidence.
@@TheIanPanda historians till date, have found many proves. not enough to conclude that the war happened but not too little to completely disregard it. It's a 50/50 chance. As Hindus it's our responsibility to pass it down to the next generation as history.
Btw, when is your video about the 1948 massacre coming?
Pretty sure no historian has ever found a vimana or nuclear weapons anywhere which scriptures so wildly claim.@@sohanmisra5392

Hi Ian
I'm awestruck with your content. Keep it up. I have a curiosity: you said you are a Brahmin, so has your ideology been the same since the beginning or you read any books or followed any philosopher(s)? If it's the latter one, please suggest the texts that I can recommend those to some of my friends who believe casteism is good but misused or misunderstood.
Thanks.
Eagerly waiting for your next video.
Only the modern believers of the sanitized interpretation of scriptures considers that caste system was good but it was not implemented properly and was misused
@@descendantofbharatbharatva7155 It is academically accepted that varna was indeed based on occupation but slowly became a birth based sytem. This is not a justification of caste sytem. It must be eradicated. But knowing proper facts is important too.
If varna is also birth-based and caste is also birth-based, and both were practiced by the same people, then what difference does it make if you use the words interchangeably. If you're really against caste discrimination, you wouldn't try to nitpick on specifics instead of taking a clear stance against the injustice.
Hi Narendra, I don't think you need to read anything or follow philosophers to develop a rational mindset, or to understand injustice. I have read a bunch of books as a part of my literature curriculum, but I don't attribute my thought process completely to them. And one correction, I am from a family who identified as Brahmin. I don't think there's any such thing as a Brahmin. In fact, my disgust for caste discrimination came from watching how my family members (who were great as a family) treated others based on caste. And it wasn't anything big, but rather subtle discrimination - something most people miss. I just kept my eyes open and I could see it.

Great video sir
Why is caste bad i am from Tharu caste an adivasi janjati from nepal. Tharu is my roots it signifies where i belong or come from what my ancestors were you are dumb to say caste is bad when all it is your identity. Caste discrimination is bad that i agree but you people are so narrow minded with this caste play thing that you won't even consider what others think. My caste is my identity, it make me different from others, my culture my tradition it is all what i love. You can never be more wrong regarding caste because you have never learnt to love your roots or your ancestors.
Buddy, I am happy that you haven't faced casteism. But that doesn't mean casteism doesn't happen. I don't take pride in my caste because that pride would be based on respecting generations of ancestors who were involved in caste discrimination. So, no thank you!
@@TheIanPandawhy should Hindu be blaimed for these ? When Hindu were ruling power why their was no chinese,Greek , Persian documented discrimination and divide of people that much that one person does not even touch or drink water from high or low caste ?
Hindu are not in power in monarch since 1000 year and still is not
All the caste based discrimination we have dating back to foreign ruling period
@@TheIanPandaif upper caste really hated so called low caste let's say adivasi
Bhils were highly skilled Archers in rajputana
Gonds started ruling created their dyansty and they were orthodox shaivite Hindus
( Gond or ruling class gonds the rajgonds who then were ruling , because of Mughals and for benefis and politics they accepted Islam )
But I don't have any memory of upper caste discriminated any of people who were just born in low caste family
@greaterbharat4175 - Your stupidity is unparalleled, buddy. For one, your examples to prove your point are dating back to some medieval times, not contemporary, so there's no way to corroborate any of the stories you're referring to. Secondly, you mentioned somewhere that Hindus are not in power - are you nuts? Hindus are literally at all power positions. Monarchy is not the only position of power, but if you're dumb enough to defend the caste system, then can't expect basic intelligence from you, can I? Again you came to conclusion rather than sharing you opinion my boy . First of all i agree that discrimination in name of caste is wrong not wrong but is very bad . But i want to ask you if a child is born in a middle class family is he or she by birth middle class or you will now too debate to remove castism in name of income. Even if you work somewhere expect youtube then do you not have a difference btwn fresher experienced or the boss or you will argue their also to give you the same facilities. My point is if you want to adress about caste difference you should keep our glorious ancient past aside and focus on todays generation castism. And one more point if you have to school then can you tell me that do a student on his or her own decides i want to be the claas monitor or is the teacher who decides , same way asuming brahmans proclaimed them as great and ignored others is baseless. If you study about the varna system long long ago you will for sure know its advantages. And at last varna system in today's world is bad our society is not the same as it was ago. So i agree that varna system is baseless today as well as i want you to stop blaming anything before you known ..
So much gyaan, wish it were coherent. This "boy" needs punctuated sentences to make sense of what you're blabbering about. Casteism exists because it was practiced over thousands of years, uncle. And like a boomer, you are equating the middle class with backward castes? Wow! Two suggestions, learn punctuations first and then read some books by Dalit writers to understand what discrimination actually is.
@TheIanPanda first of all yes i accept I am wrong in punctuation but it didn't make my message wrong. Yes it was practiced thousands year ago but then it was applicable for the society but now it can't be applicable , but blaming past is wrong. Like our country is not working on same principles as it was before changes happens with time and according to society . At last I want to ask were the Dalits writers book exist before thousands years or they were of facing the problems now to write. It is simple I'd know why u can't understand the problem is with today's society not our history.

Varna was originally occupational thing
And Brahmins never created classical age caste system ,
It was created by gupta era feudal system
Where they used Varna as birth based caste( feudal system) because gupta empire had no share of currency with commoners
And hence they created feudal system in which the commers got share in land and crops they had to do their work their living was reserved in land they got shares of
( Brahmin has nothing to with casts )
Read any of scripture or test genetic of Brahmins they havw even tribal genetic to even as foreign as European dna
They throughout the history are not one people
Chitpavans Brahmins are documents to be fisherman people
Sindhur Brahmins ( of sindh) they originally called non Vedic origin yet they became Brahmin
You are from Odisa and majority of Brahmins has tribal dna
Only Brahmins of Kashmir, Punjab, u.p , Bihar share common origin
All other Brahmins group as just tribal or agriculture of origin who gain Brahminhood
In Indonesia Brahmins look Mongoloids
They are Brahmins and Brahmins is not one caste( of by dna ) or one race
bilkul agar aap samved ka mantra no 938 padhoge to usme saaf-saaf likha ki varna vevasta karam anusar thi na ki janam kyuki sare log he janam se shudra hote ha unke karam unko brahman ,kshatriye , vaishya bante ha
Problematic religious practices nahi karenge to inka dharm, majhab ya religion kaise bachegaa 😆😆😆😆
Every atheist has a same strategy make varna and jati a same thing. Then when i ask show me in which scriptures my jati is mentioned not a single so called rationalist have ever quoted a single verse. So another question to you what is the difference between varna, kull, yoni, and jati. I can quote you reference about top 3 from scriptures all you have to do is quote jati my jati is tharu.
Obviously there is no such strategy. Atheists often judge religions based on what their community does now rather than what's actually written in this and that or how were that community 2000 years ago
@GloomyGlue 🤣🤣🤣 watch full video he is misquoted Varna as a jaati. And I agree with him on caste discrimination noone like to discrimination or get discriminated. But don't blame everything on religion by misquoting religion. That's all I am asking
Jatis are just sub castes lmaof you people need to get educated
Caste is of course not determined by birth, but by the work I am associated to.(as per the scriptures) but some opportunists made it the way as it is understood today.period.
That was varna vyavastha which has been destroyed.

Hello Mr. atheist, every region has their own prospective, what is your prospective about slaughtering and consuming other leaving being as a human also what is your opinion about love, compassion and kindness towards others leaving beings, i really want these answers from an atheist prospective..... waiting for your response from Odisha (Puri)
