Music like "Another Walk" is the specialty of Marty O'Donnell and Mike Salvatori. You don't see any other composer for any video game or movie make this kind of music. It's so unique and atmospheric. Marty really is a genius, with the emotion he can draw it out with his music.
***** Not sure. I read somewhere that they might have ran out of disc space, even with 2 discs. At least people can somehow access the audio files of unreleased tracks though.
I like it when composers use and remix a certian music track that isn't the main theme. Similar to the recent Kirby games, a certian song called Sky Tower has been in every Kirby game since Return to Dreamland.
Whenever I hear the “released” part I always think “ahh the good old days halo 3 particularly fills that part in my memory” plus I get goosebumps whenever I hear that part start playing.
To dig through all those music files and properly arrange them alongside an entire playthrough of Halo 3 must be the most meticulous undertaking of the century. Jesus Christ you are a legend.
Halo 3 was one of the first games I ever played. Having played through the game then and heard the music makes the soundtracks so much better hearing them even today
"IFF confirmed. Contact is Pelican dropship, Kilo Two-Three, over?" "Roger that. What's the word Kilo Two-Three?" "Sierra 117 onboard, request priority clearence, over?" "Deck's yours, come on down."
The beginning of the soundtrack sounds like music off a horror movie that plays when you know a whole lot of people or things are going to start dying.
H4's story was TERRIBLE. It completely retconned everything good about the Halo story. It retconned humanities direct connection to the forerunner. It retconned the Librarian and Didact story. And it even went on to suggest that the Flood was CREATED instead of being the extra galactic villain that they were. The CUTSCENES conveyed emotion better than H5, but the story was trash. H4 was a bad Halo fanfic.
343's changing of the grunt, jackal, and sanghelio design just doesn't make sense and sucks, Halo 2 and Halo 3's elite, jackal, and grunt design were prefect in every way in my perspective. The story also sucked, and the background music was forgettable, but we can still remember the music from Halo 2 and 3 with examples as High Charity, Arbiter's theme, The Ark, etc.
Halo is pretty special

+Orionova I agree, but how come they didn't include certain songs in the original soundtrack?

I love 13:50
It gives you the feel of something epic and dramatic.
Reminds me of the classic modern warfare briefings before a mission starts in the campaign

"Released" is NOT about chief. It's about Arbiter. I never realized. If you listen to the music it reflects arbiters story
Thel deserves another campaign, such a good character.
