- Here in this video I take my 1970 Chevelle along for a drive through the city. Along the way I meet a Black Camaro and a Red RSX. The Camaro turned out to actually be an old friend of mine in my earlier college days. To wrap it up the video I set off a car alarm who happened to be the guys car who asked me to rev my engine. To finish I do a few pulls.

The car alarm goes off at 7:40 for those of you all that don't care about the rest of the video. ;)
Damn nice, great feeling driving a raw loud M/Car. Thanks for the vid.
Subscribed.
When you did that did she say screw you
Hilarious 😆😂 I sold my Chevelle after owning it for 23 years, but it would set off alarms in parking lots too. Big block + 3inch exhaust + Flowmasters + turn down pipes behind the tires = ground rumbling.
I wish I had made some videos of mine. Nice car, awesome sound. Muscle cars forever ❤️💪👊
Damn that sounds so good!
Thanks for the ride and sharing your videos on the wild ride!! I’m working on a 69 Chevelle project all I can do is dream about my first drive!!
Thank you for watching, I definitely know the feeling of wanting the first drive. I hope you achieve that soon! Good luck!
About 10 years ago my friend bought a 69 chevelle from the original owners son. I think it may have had a 307 for whatever reason, and a power glide. He let me drive it and it was a sketchy steering situation for sure, 4 wheel drums. I'm currently workin kn my 78 Malibu, 3 spd manual conversion, and s10 manual steering box. Should be equally sketchy lmao thanks for the video dude!
That's what i loved the most about my '79 bronco. We built the big block, headers with dual exhaust, and low gears for off road. On streets where cars were parked on the street, even just putting by, the rumble would set the alarms off.
i like how he has a radio in it like he can hear the music over the car 😂😂😂🤣
Lol I usually have to turn the volume to max to hear it.
Im sure it works fantastic when the car isnt running
You really know how to drive a manual car. Nowadays people just ruin the clutch and gearbox.
I like you don't override the clutch while taking off and rev match while down shifting.
I definitely want to buy a manual muscle car if there is any.
There are plenty still out there. But if you can't, you can always buy an auto and convert it to manual as I did.
My man is flooring it in crocs, Respect!
If you ain't crocin you ain't rockin
@@chevellecody4050 my man, i went to turkey on vacation with crocs.
Sounds beast man 🔥
That sound is awsome! Love it! :)
Really enjoy the ride a longs!
Man that car sounds amazing💪💪💪💪
Awesome video, love that exhaust note! What is your exhaust setup, do you have a crossover?
Thanks, it's long tube headers into 3 inch true duals into cherry bombs. No cross over.
@@chevellecody4050 Rear or side-exit? Sounds SO GOOD! Almost like a C2 Corvette with sidepipes, hence why I'm asking :P
@@LifeofnotBrian Side exit exhaust! Although I think I may change it up. Or make it quieter, its just a little too loud for a daily.
@@chevellecody4050 I can understand you wanting to quiet it down, being a daily and all. It's weird how different side-exit sounds compared to rear exit. It's like it gets a lot more crispy and raw when exiting on the sides.
I was noticing how you have that extinguisher close by, until yesterday I wouldnt have remarked on it but I saw a post by someone on Facebook where their old muscle car had caught on fire. Makes me think I need to get one for my Chevelle.
Sorry for late reply been in training. I would definitely get one. My car has caught fire a few times, all electrical but its nice to know you can do something about it.
U can feel the clutch in crocks? I got one left tennis shoe i still use, first shoes i learned manual in
✨What a dream✨
love the crocs
Awesome video BEAUTIFUL BEAST OF YOUR
May I ask How often you get messed w for that
I have a 94 z28 camaro on kooks headers and well Ywah lol haven't tested my car out yet Pretty nerve-wracking
I don't get messed with too much, I try not to be obnoxious with it either. For example I only really get on it when no ones around. I just try not to be "that guy" with the old car when driving around.
So cool!!
What drive train do you have in it??? It sounds sooooo good
Thank you! It's a 383 stroker to a tko600 to a ford 9 inch.
Chevelle: HEAR THIS!!
Ford Explorer: I HATE THAT SOUND!!
So i was watching the speedo thinking its pretty quick but i was listening to the engine and you werent even pushing it holy shit
why you put neutral gear every time ?
What do the two switches do under the dash? I'm guessing one of them is for your electric fans, but I could certainly be wrong about that. I rather enjoyed the video, man. It reminds me of the movie drive. Just enjoying the sound of the car.
Thank you, yes one is for the fans and the other is a kill switch.
ChevelleCody You should probably hide the kill switch if it’s for anti theft purposes. Unless it’s just to prevent the battery from draining or something.
Yea It was mainly to turn off the car lol. My key never worked to turn off the car.
2:57 should have shown him some real power
Just what my `73 Corvette did, before I installed glasspacks.
Haha, I had Glasspacks in this video but I want to change to something else. Maybe magnaflow?
@@chevellecody4050
Well......LOL....it was Magnaflow on.
Hey man, i really love your build, i was wondering where did u purchase the fire extinguisher holder? or how did u manage to put it in that position as i am considering doing the same for my chevelle , thank you :)
and also, what size extinguisher is it ?
Hey there, thank you! I think I bought the fire extinguisher from Walmart or autozone. It came with a wall mount in the box. I drilled a few holes and bolted it together on the dash. The mount can only hold the extinguisher one way so I just bolted the mount horizontal. Also not sure on the size as I am away for the holidays. Anyways hope that helps! Merry Christmas!
@@chevellecody4050 thank you very much, i appreciate the response ! Merry christmas to you too !
yeah that badass chevelle blew a new school's ovaries...
Man Screw Jdms imma Go Barn Huntin for some muscles instead!
open headders ?
Long tubes to 3 inch exhaust to cherry bomb to side exits
Is it a 4 speed or 6 speed
Neither, its a 5 speed. :)
so it is right in the middle:)
Which 5 speed you running?
Tko 600
I don't get your shifting
I taught myself manual on this car so I'm probably doing it wrong.
How much horse power does it got?
440 to crank
@@chevellecody4050 thats like 350hp at the wheels, plenty to burn tires lol
Whats the gas mileage on that buddy?
I've never really calculated the MPG but its about $40 for a fill up with 93. That usually lasts me about a week.
That's actually not bad at all.
😍
Ya freind I know has a blue 69 it's loud to
im glad i live in rural area, city driving would not be to enjoyable.
Its not so bad. My clutch is super stiff but then again I have no heat, AC or sound deadening so this car is not too enjoyable to drive to begin with lol.
Old detroit iron..... Oh yeah...... Old 'murican muscle
wearinng crocs...
