Is that a crate engine?
Yo that thing is sweet
Cody, any update on the car? I hope you still got it.
My uncle had a red/white. I have an affinity for these old trucks.
Ugh making me nervous but glad to see it being enjoyed.
What would recommend on how to replace the floor with a one piece floor on a coupe. Will the one piece floor fit through the windshield opening
Thanks for posting man, literally had this exact thing happen yesterday lol
I fail to see how those bushings needed to be replaced they looked fine I didn't see any cracks or squish in them LOL
Good job
Cool!
You got to speak up & clear.
I just completed mine… thanks for the helpful video
You don't put teflon tape in brake lines... 🤣
U can feel the clutch in crocks? I got one left tennis shoe i still use, first shoes i learned manual in
Awesome
Nice detailed video
Cody! She’s looking good dude. I recognized your face.
Cody please I beg you.dont ls swap please😂.no one drives built naturally aspirated cars any more
Awesome, brother! I got mine when I was 18 (69 Cutlass). I still have it. I'm married with kids now, so I don't tinker with it much. But it brings me great joy knowing it's in the garage hibernating lol.
nice install. i noticed multiple holes to attach the lower control arms to the rear brackets, how do you know which holes were correct for your car?
Could you share the cost of the rearend & what all options you chose for it? Thanks
This video definitely gave me a heads up b4 doing mine on a 72 chevelle

Great video! This will save me a ton of money on my 70 chevelle. #Jkchevelle70
Please do more videos i fucking loved this. I have a 68 Lemans and this is so damn informative
Right on man! Props to you for taking that thing wheeling. open diffs, that's real four wheeling Beautiful Blazer did you get a locker yet?
How about using a spotweld cutter?
Doesn't look better with the spoiler. It's not right. The reason that it doesn't look better is that the 1970 Chevelle already has an iconic look which does not include a front spoiler. Pull that off of there. It's about honesty, and objective truth. Do the right thing.
Hey just wondering how these bushings have held up I’m looking to put either rubber or poly in my 69 chevelle Thanks
They are doing great, I'd recommend them for sure.
Holy shit man that looks like a tough job my Chevelle might need those because it sits lower on the passenger side and new springs front and back never helped even it up but I'm unsure about where and how to jack the car up can you post a video that shows where to place the jack and what to avoid?
Hey man, thanks for the question. All your doing is raising the car enough to get the new bushings in. If you do one bushing at a time it's easy. I used a block of wood on my jack to distribute the weight. Find a spot on the body that looks braced and jack from there. Go slow and if you see any damage start, then stop and try another spot.
That's what they are made for!
2:57 should have shown him some real power
why you put neutral gear every time ?
not POV
Just took my the body of the chassis of my 67. 2 missing, 3 broken cages and 2 bolts snapped. not back together yet, and researching fixes. thanks for the video.
Really enjoy the ride a longs!
Great sounding Chevelle! I just got my Blueprint 383 installed. Me personally never experienced anything like it! I'm just a regular guy who wanted more then my 76 vette came out with and I got my money worth!
Good to hear! I've always wanted a C3.
Ran into this video looking for exhaust kit for my '82 K5. Really appreciated seeing the Scripture at the end. Such a rare occurrence these days.
Just trying to spread the word :) Thanks for watching.
Is it a 4 speed or 6 speed
Neither, its a 5 speed. :)
so it is right in the middle:)
Sounds great! Not too loud and yet not too quiet either, it's perfect. I'm gonna get the exact same kit with the exact same mufflers for the '77 K5 Blazer I'm currently saving up for when I restore it. I've been watching square body exhaust videos here on TH-cam with turbo mufflers trying to find the best sounding system and I just found it! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, good luck with the restoration!
I just saw your lower control arm plates welded in. Throw away the lower arms. Put in completely boxed arms. Trust me, they will really help your car cornering
Okay, ill check them out. Thank you!
Have you thought about Boxed lower control arms? I’m not even going to say anything about the RTV on the inside of your rear end housing. If that breaks off gets into your bearings or plugs the vent and burns up your $3,000.0 rear end. You’ll have no warranty. The only way you will have one is if you have the directions in writing. Hang on to them. I still would never use that inside my rear housing. I’ve also read where this job was done 2 years ago?? It’s time to take it All apart. Clean that shit out and put it back together with out the RTV.
There are boxed lowered control arms on this car. So far haven't had any issue what so ever with the rear end.
From what I can see is that they have thin plates, I think I saw 3 plates welded to the bottom of the control arms? I could be wrong though. Take a picture of them send that over. I had mine boxed in with a heavier metal than what the old school control arms are made of. The I took some round stock put some nice adjustable ends on them Waaa-Laaa. I couldn’t believe what a difference that made. I was able to fine tune my chassis. Got it to track much easier. It was just a step above what I had before. The bottom line is if you are happy with what you are running. Don’t worry about what I say or what anyone else says. I learned a long time ago that there are people out there that are a lot smarter than I am!!! Or take the look at it this way. Can’t hurt to try it. You may be surprised!!!.
I’m trying to understand why you would put RTV on you end seal’s and behind your bearings. Guess what I’m asking is how many of these have you done. By doing it this way. You run a really high risk of burning up bearings plugging your air vent. You know, or maybe you don’t know. Things like that!!!
Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't know that. This was my first time assembling a rear end.
@@chevellecody4050 look at it this way.. Sometimes “more” is still not enough. Sometimes “more” is just way too much?? Mom always told me to Error on the side of caution ⚠️ Another words use either the exact amount or just a bit Less. I personally would rather have to take it back apart because I had a small leak. Than to use to much & some got inside of my bearings and then burnt up my complete rear end! You are not out anything but time with to little. You are out $3,000.00 dollars behind door number (2) Two. To much goop.
@@chevellecody4050 where are you from??
I daily drive my 68 Cutlass, was looking for other daily driven A Bodies and whadda ya know you're also Cody lol
Im also a Cody and my name makes me wanna puke
Quick question, when you did trans swap did you need a clutch pedal brake pedal assembly or just the clutch pedal and master cylinder?
So the pedal housing u can reuse, but you do need a break and clutch pedal set.
