Hey Tom , I know this video's a bit old, but hopefully you will read this. Thanks for all these videos, finally understand this topic and also wanted to say that those "quiz" parts are really helpful so maybe you could use them more often in never videos Greetings from Georgia (country) :p
Hello from Brazil! I enjoy your videos a lot. I find them to be quite nice introductions to their subjects. When is the French Revolution: part 4 coming out?
Thanks, Carlos! I actually recorded Part 5 a few weeks ago and skipped over Part 4, but I do need to go back and record Part 4 on the Rights of Man. It's definitely on my list!
I just watch and read history for fun and I’ve listened to stuff before on French Revolution and it was always too confusing this really clears up exactly how each event led into the next event
wow tom, i live in a third world country and if my teachers were as cool and eloquent as you, i would have learned a lot faster. you rock man! my test is today and i feel kind of confident now all thanks to you and the internet. ps - not all of the teachers in our country are bad, but some of my teachers are in the sense that they fail to make us understand subjects quickly.
Have you uploaded the next instalment? If so where can I find it? I've learning the French Revolution right now and these videos are really helping me to understand the sequence of events, thanks for uploading!
hey tom richey! thanks for making these videos. I am using them to review for the ap test in may. but i have always wondered, what is covered by duct tape on the poster of rules behind you?
HAHAHA I get that question a lot and sometimes contemplate not answering it. The first year I taught at my school, I was in a freshman academy setting. When that was no longer the case, I taped over "academy" rather than make a new set of rules! Haha
I have not. I skipped that one and went ahead and made Part 5 on the Civil Constitution of the Clergy. I plan to complete the series this summer, including Part 4. It'll probably be a 7 or 8 part series by the time it's done.
You are wrong ! It is not the weakness of the king that brought the revolution. Louis the XIV , the sun king would have faced the same challenge. The only difference is that it would have been more bloody. You must remember that the assembly had many support from some of the highest and richest nobles and merchants. The national assembly created an army of citizens named the National Guard to fight against any royal army.
You are wrong about the tennis court oath because the third estate could not wear those „culotte“ they had to have longs pants and it was a death sentence if you wore them.
Dude, your explanations concerning the 14th of july are really not all that good. Actually to storm the bastille was kind of an after thought, the main event that day was the crowd going to the tuileries and took the weapons who were stocked there cause they were thinking that the army you mentioned earlier could attack Paris. Also, you didn't mention a crucial point concerning the start of the revolution : people were starving. Desperate people do desperate things.
I'm currently studying the French Revolution for my studies, I would say this video gives a good general understanding of what occurred during the French Revolution
Those "white boys" are the founding fathers of the greatest superpower to ever exist. Don't understand why it's okay to throw around "white boy" but "black boy" would be construed as racist. Sounds like hypocrisy.
A really good history teacher is a beautiful thing

CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE A VID "ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE FRENCH REVOLU"TION??
That video would last like two hours! I hope to finish this series at some point but the French Revolution is complex - not for lightweights!

Have you not made the part 4 that you talk about at the end of the video? (The Declaration of the Rights of Man)
I have not. I skipped that one and went ahead and made Part 5 on the Civil Constitution of the Clergy. I plan to complete the series this summer, including Part 4. It'll probably be a 7 or 8 part series by the time it's done.
sorry but july 14 isn't a commeromation for the bastil but for the feast of the federation when the king signe the constitution
I laughed every time you said that Louis XVI made the worst possible decision.
You are wrong ! It is not the weakness of the king that brought the revolution. Louis the XIV , the sun king would have faced the same challenge. Nice to see some metalhead teachers!
Thank you
Thanks for uploading! :)

Can you make a world war two video/series of videos?
At some point - just needs to be done right. Would rather wait than do it quick and halfway.

why is this fun.
Can someone clarify if anything of what he is saying is true ?
I'm currently studying the French Revolution for my studies, I would say this video gives a good general understanding of what occurred during the French Revolution
He’s an actual ap euro professor and our teacher gives us these videos for review so yes
yo, about the Davids painting - he was living during the times of revolution, and he was kind of propaganda artist for revolution.
actually the american declaration was just a bunch of white boys throwing shade at each other
Lucy Sun what is that supposed to mean?
Those "white boys" are the founding fathers of the greatest superpower to ever exist. Don't understand why it's okay to throw around "white boy" but "black boy" would be construed as racist. Sounds like hypocrisy.
What a teacher are you...Funny😄😄
These are such great review, the test is tomorrow and I am going to kill it
Getting rid of feudalism is like getting rid of Herobrian in Minecraft

Dude, just so you know, your videos are great but there are a few mistakes.
What mistakes?
sreyashi bhose I will take the time to write them IF he’s interested. Otherwise i have things to do; mainly a film on the topic !
Bernamej sorry to bother you but are you talking about the great fear? Is that one of the mistakes?
I mean the reason behind the great fear.
@@sreyashibhose5955 To be honest I would need to watch the video again...I don't recall that particular point.
