Great interview. I admire David Trimble's down-to-earth honest attitude (at least that's how it came across to me). I hope, like David, that this covid period gives us perspective and a desire for a future where community and the enjoyment of people, as opposed to work and business, take on greater meaning and importance. I wish him and the Red Hook Crit all the success in the future.
Thanks sooooo much for this interview, I looked so forward to all the Red Hook events & was heartbroken 💔 when they stopped but now knowing that the plan is to come back that adds excitement during these pandemic days and if there are livestreams that would be something I would purchase .. Take care & stay safe
Well ... i was in front of the lead group with my Bike in 2017 and 2018 RHC in Milan, it has been an amazing experience.... meet all of you crazy athlets... hope to get back soon! with all of you.
Never froget our first RHC in 2013...I bought a bigger car to get my friends to milano...in the race the electricity broke down and parts of the course were dark (or brightened by cars) ... Grosu won ... 1 year later my friend stefan reimer was the first german to appear in the top 10 favorite list ... and had a mechanical in round 1... RHC was always special...#prayforsergio
hi Keira from a french cycling lover, nice video.I don't know if a RHC was organized in France but we do like urban crit too in France,it's a habit with local competition but unfortunately we don't have the culture of fixed gear here ,only on the track.See you
I always hoped to at least be in the audience of a RHC and in my wildest dreams, race in one and not get lapped out of the race. In the end, I came to appreciate David's hard work more than anything. I really do hope him the best.
Typically I wrote do a redhook crit on a piece of paper and put it in my bucket list .....in 2018 🙄 now It has just to come back or I can’t die happy (no pressure)😂
Many questions answered thanks for sharing. For those of us based in New York itching and patiently waiting for the next crit where do you recommend we get our fix until then?
Fixed gear cool reached its peak in.... 2008 or so? Then Red Hook managed to stretch it until 2019 until Zach Gallardo finally killed it. So now we can finally go back to just scoring dirt cheap Langsters and Pre Cursa's on CL and fleabay 🙂
Love the crit, been watching the Brooklyn one since 2012. Hope it returns. Curious why there’s no discussion of tickets for spectators...I’d be happy to spend $20 and if others do too, that’d add a few hundred thousand to their budget
@@KeiraMcVitty totally! Love that idea in spirit, but then again it’s not accessible at all if it’s not running 😂 hopefully they can get the sponsors figured so it remains free and can also retain David’s high standards.
David very nice guy he made RHC into a very interesting part of track bike culture the RHC is the F1 track bike crit racing hope to see it RHC soon is need it
It didn’t have a lot of spectators. It had low tens of thousands (and no TV). The entry fee income would be lost in the weeds. Looks like Rockstar games basically funded it. Expose the series to a global audience via TH-cam/whatever and I am certain they _could_ make it work financially a la Ironman triathlon.
Fingers crossed for a Red Hook Crit return!
Fingers and toes crossed!!
I was really curious about what was going on with Red Hook. Thanks for the interview!
No problem :)
I'm just getting into fixed gear riding and I need the crits to come back asap!

100 percent agree :) Glad you enjoyed it!

Nice interview~ The year I decided to jump in to fixed crits was the year this stopped. Always hoping they come back.
Red hook is what got me riding, so intense and dangerous. I am glad this video was able to answer what happened to it
No worries, happy to have helped!

i love how he has no clue where to look. i think Keira makes him nervous!
First ever RHC in London was amazing, i will never forget it.
It was a great race, let's hope it can come back soon!

The 5k running race before the final crit was fun. I hope to do it again if the race returns.
Thanks
Nice interview
RHC 👍
Hope it makes a return. Would love to incorporate age groups. For us old dudes over 40!
Please come back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fingers and toes crossed you can fulfil your bucket list!!
I look forward to the return of the Red Hook
hope they come back, would love to ride in one of these crits
Fingers and toes crossed!
RHC was awesome! Hope they can come back. Dont have to be in the city center or expensive places. Just the thrill!
Peter Szabo it never was in expensive places
Very interesting interview. Looking forward to travel to some races/events :D
100 percent, I hope they can come back with a bang!
Events like RHC and the 6 Day could and should be a massive part of cycling's future, especially urban cycling, commuting & even utility cycling!
Many questions answered thanks for sharing. For those of us based in New York itching and patiently waiting for the next crit where do you recommend we get our fix until then?
Always wanted to know more info about the ending of this great event! Great video
Glad you enjoyed it Erik!
This is an interesting video, I enjoyed it. An video about the hole fixed scene and where its heading would be cool
Thanks for the idea! I will see what I can do :)
Great interview!! Really enjoyed it.
Awesome, thank you!
Nice job, Keira!
Thanks Gabe :)

Great video love your channel 👍🏼
I would love to see one in Vienna 😍
I would have already a course in the city center 😅
Maybe one day!
Lets hope, we have to wrestle cycle racing away from the UCI. Fixie Crits & Gravel Racing are the best hopes for the future
Im excited to see how cycling goes in the next few years!
I just want an alternate bike racing event/organization that isn’t touched by the poisonous tentacles from the dumb UCI
Interesting interview, thanks !
Glad you enjoyed it!
Someone doesn't like eye contact!

how about one in Mexico City. north america
Was at the last Brooklyn RHC in ‘18; great time even with the biblical weather. Hope they come up with that 2M quid, be a shame if it faded away.
Totally agree, Long live RHC!
Hi, why the Red Hook Crit shop is disabled and "Checkout is also disable" /d
? Thanks!.
I would suggest following the IG/Facebook pages. Last time they sold items was spring 2020 I believe.
David very nice guy he made RHC into a very interesting part of track bike culture the RHC is the F1 track bike crit racing hope to see it RHC soon is need it
that they come to Buenos Aires, Argentina that the event is going to make little money and there is a very large fixed gear community
That would be crazy cool!
Still don't understand how big sponsors, lot of spectators, 60$ entree free, no big primes and a 1k track lost somewhere couldn't work out financialy.

The truth is that David could not accept when spz decided they would only support the race on track bikes with disc brakes lol
Barcelona have the 3 B's: Beach, Beer and Bikes!!!
What else does one need!
9:00 😂😂😂😂
Redhook in Philippines please 🙏🇵🇭
Maybe one day!
@@KeiraMcVitty that's nice, i'll be wait for the redhook, and i want a rematch with addison 😂😂😂
Infamous? You need to look up that word.
🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
We can hope!
Sort your audio.
Apologies on the audio levels, Unfortunately I can't adjust it now it's out there :(
Meh.. It aint that bad.
