“I’ve seen it time & time again where cops walk off with the money” is a Hell of a statement from a lawyer. Why do we allow our police to be criminals?

I sat in jail in Orange Park Florida for over a month on armed home invasion, grand theft, larceny and some other stuff. The victim, the whole time, said it wasn't me.He said I saw who broke in, I don't know who it was, but it was not him. I had a bond hearing, $250,002, and was never arraigned. After over a month the prosecutor refused to prosecute and I got out. I was served with eviction while locked up. My house was unlocked and robbed. I Could replace everything except a cross necklace with my cousins ashes in it. The night I got home, the power was off, I was laying in my room and I heard someone walk on the porch. One knock and before I could get outta bed, two neighbor kids came walking in. I hadn't realized that I was missing everything I was yet and the kids made up something I believed at the time. Now, I know but can't prove, they had broken in my place and took most stuff worth anything. Nothing ever came of that. I ended up living with the man that was robbed because he felt bad I lost everything I did because of him being robbed. 2 months later a guy showed up at his house knocked on the door and when he got to the door he realized something wasn't right and tried to close the door. The guy pushed his way in and dumped him outta his wheelchair. (He was a quadriplegic. Could move his arms but had next to no use of his fingers. Nothing from the chest down) The neighbors heard him screaming and called the cops. The cops figured out who it was from the description of the person and vehicle. They watched around his house (the perpetrator) and saw the guy pull up in his old Camaro near a wooded area and take a small (2"×2") safe out and hide it in the woods. (That is what was stolen the time I was accused but there was a gun in the safe when I took the fall. That's why I was charged with 'Armed' home invasion) The guy was found guilty. IDK for sure if he did the first robbery too, but I know that it cost me 10K for a retainer on a lawyer that only put her name on paper as representing me, getting evicted and losing almost everything I had worked for. I wrote this because Da Baby spent 2 days locked up and released with no consequences for the law enforcement that put him there. Same thing happened to me, and how this happens really needs to be looked into.
I know folks like to say, "better safe than sorry" and "see something say something on reporting stuff. While that might be semi-innocent and good, some police then take that small bit of info, then move forward with it as fact and really f*** over someones life when in reality it is a totally false accusation. However, you now gotta drop a life savings and go through hell just to get past the false accusation.
Run for office and make changes. I will donate to your cause

Me too lol. A fellow employee at one of my previous jobs was caught stealing from the store. All the employees were questioned by police and even though I wasn't working that shift, my anxiety still had me nervous af lol.

I have anxiety; I'd be seen as guilty in these even if I was in another country at the time.
I do, too, it's severe even. I'm on medicine for it... but this is also why I immediately would ask for an attorney.

@davidmartin9871 I actually had to be integrated once by military police....bc my EX husband lied and said I stole stuff from work....I didn't. However, I was so scared bc I did have some supplies from work, but they were given to me during a clean-up. Lots of people had stuff from that bc they got rid of a lot of stuff. So I legally had it, but was still worried...so I told them I have stuff from work, but it was given to me, and many others...and started crying (tbf I was only 19) they literally laughed at me, and told me I was wasting their time by lying about not having medications from work. So I said, fine, search my home....they happily did . Where they found out I never stole a thing. He, however, was stealing food from the on base galley, and he ended up in trouble. He had told me he was given it. Seems like he was just projecting. I had no idea...but thats his well deserved karma.

It’s just cuz he famous. Notice the cops were pussies to him. A regular guy off the street would have had a way more hardcore and way more intense interrogation. Iv seen people convicted on videos less clear than that. It’s fame and money . They had quiet tones. A real interrogation they get in your face and yell at you and lie about evidence. He is not a genius he just had overly cautious police do to the risk of media attention if they do get in his face. Facts

Best way to handle a situation like this is to keep your mouth shut. And ask for an attorney. Period. Make them prove their case: don’t give them any ammo cuz they’ll twist your words and manipulate lie and do whatever to break you down. You got proof. Arrest me otherwise I want an attorney.

People don’t always go into interrogations without a lawyer just because they think they can wiggle out of something a lot of times they’re trying to see what cops really know. It goes both ways. The reason the cops want u to tell them what happened instead of them tell u is if they slip up one time and give one wrong detail u know they don’t know anything
if your story changes the slightest during the multiple retells they want you to perform, they'll use that against you.

For me, even if I want to cooperate with the police. I’m going to politely say I want a lawyer before I even say hi. Then I’m going to sit quietly in that interrogation room until I’m let go or talking to my attorney. I’ve seen too much to know I’m not helping myself. Also, I’ve seen too much to know that sometimes you think you’re being a witness and turns out you’re a suspect being interrogated. For all I know, I might be in a jurisdiction where the investigator is lazy and is on a confirmation bias hunt. Who knows, just don’t give anything away.
Exactly what I said, and for the exact same reason. How many completely innocent people have spent years (even decades) in prison because the police decided to make the evidence fit their very first suspect or "person of interest", and the prosecutor accepted the police's evidence at face value? Too, too many, and I don't want myself, or anyone I know, to ever be one of those people.
Even if you know you're 100% innocent, it's still a bad idea to talk to them. Even worse idea to tell 'em you've $250k in cash in your hotel room.

This is a little different. He has gone through this before and he’s a known person.
I think what he meant is that by telling them you have that money laying around, there are lotta chances that money wont be there anymore when you get back
He's giving the context about who he is about. The 250k was from legally binded contracts or from one contract. He's giving them a reason why he isn't the suspect. It plays into his side of the story. There wasn't a motive for him to do it, he said that he wasn't at the scene which since they can't identify him, it checks out. He said that he didn't see a fight. He had no reason to rob a phone or to attack them. It helped him get himself away from the crime.
@@greatngood66 That's absolutely what he's thinking. And he probably hasn't watched very many videos about civil asset forfeiture. The cops can take the money, claiming they believe it is proceeds from robberies or other crimes. He then has to sue them and prove otherwise. If he does sue, the cops hand it over to the feds and wait a year to get a cut back. Then he has to start all over by suing the feds.
Yes he was trying to make the point that he has no reason to rob anyone. But you never tell the cops you have a bunch of cash - that's not a smart way to make a point.

I was in the same spot 9 years ago.. accused me of robbing a gas station, actually charged me and locked me up.. but being innocent, and hip to their tactics , I baptized em in the interrogation room and the grand jury tossed it

I worked as security and as a promoter for years in nightclubs. I can’t tell you how many times club owners tried to screw us over when it came time to be paid! (But me and my associates ALWAYS paid any celebrities or performers what we agreed and on time!).
So many promoters are rotten and play games with the money, just saying, play stupid games win stupid prizes
My husband worked security for a club/restaurant owner and is still manager of the restaurant and they always pay the talent/staff on time. Don't book someone if you can't pay!

And those stats are conservative as they are based on proven wrongful convictions.

In my younger years, i had a couple brushes with the law. I learned that the truth doesn't always set you free, and the best outcome i ever had from a case resulted in not saying a word to the cops.
I watch the first 48 alot and I have seen so many cases where people could have literally gotten away with murder if they just shut up and asked for a lawyer. But they didn't and talked thinking they could talk their way out of it and screwed themselves.
No one can tell a story exactly the same over and over and over again, make you tired, tell it backward, tell it forwards, add details that dont exists , scared u, leave you alone after telling you your fucked. Literally coulda just left lol

@@WorldwideScents Bascially, cops and various servants of the executive branch are protected from being sued. If they make mistakes: "sorry, you are a shit out of luck". Your kid got shot accidentally? Tough luck. Your home got barged into due to someone misreading the warrant? Shit happens. And so on. Sure, you can still sue municipalities in general but the perpetrators go free.

Even after someone has decided to turn their life around and "goes straight," it's often difficult for them to do so entirely. This can also apply if the situation is a "rags to riches." On the street, if someone really screws you over, or disrespects you, it's almost mandated that you respond with violence. Normal, law abiding citizens say, "I'd like to speak to your manager," or get a lawyer and sue. Someone who was either a chronic serious criminal or grew up in a neighborhood where violence was commonplace, they might just punch the employee rather than asking to speak to the manager or suing. This is why such individuals run with "a crew," people who will insulate the famous/wealthy person from getting into trouble.

I sat in jail for 3 days without an interrogation and false felony “charges”. I guess it was a 3 day investigation and they decided to let me go and never followed up on charges. I was facing armed robbery charges and unlawful possession of a firearm.

I went through interrogation by detectives investigating child sexual abuse because of false allegations by a child protective services social worker who was going through a (documented) nervous breakdown. I had a lawyer in the hall. Every single question, I asked to talk to the lawyer. After *hours* of this going nowhere, she finally said "offer to do a polygraph". I did, they went and talked to the polygraph expert. It turns out they had so little to go on that they couldn't even form proper polygraph questions and finallynlet me go, but not without the parting shot that "this file will always be here waiting for you". I have strong feelings about child abusers, so I understand, but I still think they were assholes and *SOMEONE* should have had to answer for what I went through. In particular, I feel that social worker should have been charged with giving false information or perhap perjury if it was sworn statements.
I *had* been a staunch police supporter, but between that and some overzealous cop trying to squeeze me for information that I didn't have while held *as a juvenile* in an interrogation room for hours because someone I had in my truck ditched a pipe when we got pulled over and other interactions (rude and arrogant about shit that is none of their business commenting on when discussing witnessing someone else's crime, asking me for help with missing persons and then completely ignoring my input and later fknding them *exactly* where I said they would likely be on a map and in and on), I am no longer a staunch supporter, I am barely on the side of supporting them at all. They lie, cheat, steal, often do the crimes they are supposed to be protecting us from and abuse power they have or are only perceived to have (overstepping) and have barely any oversight whatsoever, never mind with the will and teeth to actually have any control.
You might take from this that I am some kind of shady character. I'm not, I just have had terrible luck with bad cops. Some good, but they are in the minority. To think, I wanted to be one before I watched a good one get ground up in the meat grinder and turned into the kind I despise as I grew up.
Dudesomeone should have the answer what I went through I was in booking for over 17 hours for A dui when I blew 0.000 4 times they said I was cheating I even peed in a cup and a different jail they took me to the actual jail threw me in a room told me i'd be out in 2 hours sat there for 17 hours got tired of waiting started knocking asking CO deputy when am I letting go And they were laughing at their computers I got mad and kicked the door and said they were faggots Which is not right but does not give the officers the right to do what they did to me 2 officers from Pasco County opened the door drugged me by my throat into another room slam my face against the wall by the back of my throat and told me that they would show me a faggot and that they were gonna rape me And I swear on my mother and everything I love this is not a joke I completely left my home state because of it I still have warrants because of it
Most police encounters I have had in life were abusive. There’s been good and helpful encounters in there, but it is definitely the exception, not the rule.

I used to be a staunch police supporter too and the actions of police themselves convinced me otherwise. Once I cut off a cop in traffic in an unfamiliar parking lot, and in response he threatened to murder me and make it look like a suicide. He said to me "You know those people who you hear kill themselves in their jail cells? You don't think they really kill themselves, do you?" So he also implied he had knowledge of other people the police had murdered and made it look like a suicide. This was all over me missing a stop sign in the dark when I was an inexperienced driver. I thought about filing a complaint, but I'm glad I didn't. About a year later, many police in that county's police department were brought up on charges including murder. Even the chief of police went to prison.

I needed a distraction tonight... My best friend and his wife (also a very close friend) were murdered a few days ago and I've been in between numbness, and feeling all the feels. I really am on an emotional rollercoaster. They were dumped in the desert like fucking garbage and they were two of the kindest, most thoughtful people I've ever known.
I have lost loved ones to accidents, suicide, overdose, natural causes... But nothing hurts like knowing someone else took them away. For no good reason. That is pain second only to suicide, I think. I'm mad and hurt like Hell.
I needed a distraction. I have a feeling this will give me a break from my mind, at least for a little while. I've learned a lot from your channel and, no offense, I hope the fucker who did this, didn't. Haha 🤭

There is so much to learn from this arrest and interrogation. Stay silent, so you don't say something that could be used against you.. Dababby remained silent about certain things, but spoke up when he realized the officers interrogating him had nothing incriminating against him.
It’s just cuz he famous. Notice the cops were pussies to him. A regular guy off the street would have had a way more hardcore and way more intense interrogation. Iv seen people convicted on videos less clear than that. It’s fame and money . They had quiet tones. A real interrogation they get in your face and yell at you and lie about evidence. One of my favorite Netflix shows is Criminal-episodes devoted to interrogations by these top drawer interrogation specialists charged with interrogating suspects, etc. It is a skill, that’s for sure.

I remember getting pulled into an interrogation over an assault. One guy is real nice and the other starts yelling and accusing me of using aliases to avoid capture (bc I occasionally went by my stepdads last name or he'd cry, but my actual one sounds cooler so I'd use it too), and in my head I'm thinking "damn, they're really about to good cop, bad cop my ass". There is NO SWEETER FEELING than cutting a pig off in the middle of monologuing and asking for a lawyer. My man looked *heartbroken* that he wouldn't get to continue accusing me of being some sort of criminal mastermind bc I beat up one guy lol

Theres nothing better then having a legit alibi, knowing in a situation that you are good amd either being targeted or the police dont know how to do their job and have tbe guilty until innocent mentality, and so you can literally mop the floor with them
