Cloris Leachman, Rita Moreno, William Shatner, Lily Tomlin and Fred Willard arguing over hippos is something I didn’t know I needed but now I want a full 4-hour podcast with just that.
Tommy Muscatello answering the question of how he got his British accent with "it what I was tot", when that's not how I or any British person I know pronounces "taught", was truly a cherry on the top of that rubbish fire.
He was "tot", no you were TAUGHT. On top of that, nearly 10% of the UK doesn't eat meat at all (2-3% vegan, up to 7% vegetarian), so yep, there are a good few of us (I'm vegetarian)
My dad had cancer and it spread to his brain and i was basically threatened by his home hospice care to move him in or theyd contact adult services and take guardianship. . When my ex died, his family lied and got emergency guardianship of my daughter... its was so effing scary. The guardianship lawyer i had to get, she had freaking horror stories. .. kids and elderly... its worth it to know what could happen. People are awful.
Thomas Mace-Archer-Mills aka Thomas James Muscatello: New Yorker O-Ren Ishii aka Cottonmouth: Chinese-American Don't bring it up. (Btw, died young. Idk how, but @ 43.)
As a disabled person, every time someone asks me about people who self diagnose but don’t pursue “official” diagnosis I want to show them this piece. Because a lot of disabilities/mental illnesses can be used as “evidence” to put someone into a guardianship. Sometimes an actual professional diagnosis is actively dangerous to people.
Did you know that the Cocaine Hippos started with Pablo Escobar importing 4 hippos. 4 hippos, called the Cocaine Hippos, and Hasbro isn't making a horror movie.
honestly, even if he hadn't told his wife, i think that'd be understandable? like it sucks to be put through that by your husband/friend, but the alternative might've been him getting murdered for real, right? so it's better this way i think. also john in the nicest way possible? that balls joke - while funny - was one of the most cishet things you've ever said in your life
Neil deGrasse Tyson was too much for him to take on, even with all of his research department, and he respects him too much but still tried throwing a punch...and yeah, hippos are only great from afar, except for Moo Deng, she seems nice.
Am i the only one that doesnt like when they do some celeb mashup at the end to drive the point home? I usually agree with the final point, but I think LWT needs to realize the avg person hates celebrities telling them anything political. Comes off as elitist, condescending crap usually. Just saying i think the point gets driven home better with the real people stories not voice overs from actors trying to be political
6:38 The fact that anyone would be happy if after years of living in fear, their plan worked and the people they thought were following him were caught *ASIDE* . How can you be so certain he thinks he is immune to assassination rather than knowing full well that if he was assassinated for real this time, there'd be 0 doubt that pootin had continued to try taking his life. I'd goad him out too when my larger point is not about me, it's about the fact that pootin is a murderer. Pootin's *only* choice is to leave him alone.
That blooper at the end, from whoever that celebrity lady is, was great 😂
I think it was Rita Moreno
I came here to say exactly this. Zero idea who this lady is but she was excellent.
I really thought it was Jane Fonda

I couldn’t agree more 🤣😂🤣🎸

Also to add... he knows he can be a royal expert without larping as a Brit, right?
I "cot" that right away!!! (caught)
@@elaineb7065 Thank you! I knew I cu'n't (couldn't) be the only one!
Thanks John and LWT staff fot all the work you do. You provide valuable information and education while making us laugh.
NdGT is one of my favorite celebrities so always happy to see a cameo
I just googled Babchenko and apparently he’s still alive and now lives in Israel
Thanks, I was just going to search that. 🫡
I imagine taking daily dances lessons while having the shoes picked out by the door ready to go.
Thomas J. Mace-Archer isn't though
Aw, RIP Fred Willard
Oh man… Now I miss John Bercow again.
And if in the UK, "I miss Gilbert Gottfried"
Cloris!! She was always amazing.
Yelling at Neil DeGrasse Tyson aged well
re: hippos, would they be fucking machines too? the eroticism of violence and murder, especially on film, must not be ignored
Just ask Rita lol
Okay, but seriously - how does William Shatner age THIS well??? Wine should be taking classes from him!
Thanks once again, Johnny Joykiller!
“Tommy Muskatello” 💀
You can’t make that shit up
Every British person knew that guy was not British as soon as he opened his mouth
He was "tot", no you were TAUGHT. On top of that, nearly 10% of the UK doesn't eat meat at all (2-3% vegan, up to 7% vegetarian), so yep, there are a good few of us (I'm vegetarian)
The whole hippo joke had me laughing 🦛
The movie version is "I Care a Lot" .
This feels like Arthur Knight 😂

He says "I know more about the British monarchy then anyone in Britain" My Mother would like to have a word!
Oh c'mon, you really can't tell that "Royal Expert's" English accent is fake as hell? 😂
Thomas Mace-Archer-Mills aka Thomas James Muscatello: New Yorker

Don't bring it up.

Is there a follow up on this elderly abuse issue?
Just for the record...hippos really do suck. John even mentioned that in one of the most recent episodes!
Question: is this episode on TH-cam either partially censored or entirely banned in the UK?
23:58 Oh...that aged poorly. Now we would say open air wet market. 😬
I miss Bercow
This episode was exceptionally brilliant! 😂🤣🤣🤣 Although, they all are.😬
Oof, calling Ukraine "bonus Russia" really hasn't aged well.
...and the line about an "open-air exotic meat market" hits different post-Covid, too
Thomas James Mace-Archer-Mills is dead now.
Look up on Google Yes
Wow at 43 years old

John Oliver, bringing awareness to guardian ships before it was cool #freebritney
11:30 "John Oliver" pulled this shit in the UK a while back. He's really from Belgium.
i diddnt recognize any of the celebs from that final bit; but the lady who cracked her self up from the fucking macines joke seems lovely
You're referring to the incredibly talented Rita Moreno - have you ever seen the original West Side Story ???
I love Neil
This many years later -- it's amazing how depressingly relevent John Oliver's shows still are...
john bercow 😭
Neil deGrasse Tyson is a legend!!!! Change my mind, i dare you! 😄
Googling "Neil DeGrasse Tyson sexual assault" might change your mind
The apostle Paul never met Jesus, neither before, nor after the resurrection.
Poor hippos.
Yelling at Neil deGrasse Tyson for being a kill joy is always morally correct.

John, Starz made Ash vs Evil dead so I must disagree with you there.
if Trump wasn't so stupid and terrifying he'd be pretty funny 😅
*Ukraine* ❌
*Newkraine* ✅
2:14 well this is either no longer funny or even funnier depending on how bleak your humor is.

JOHN!
So you're telling me not a single judge wondered why that woman had so many wards? They should be fired for incompetence
S5 E13
Shady business ideas with john oliver.
2018.
What's wrong with you people?
