It is so sad to see how Phil's health has failed him to the point that he has trouble walking and he can no longer play drums.......but he still has that voice. Love ya Phil and so happy to know your song plays the drums for you now. He had the best drum teacher out there.

Phil recently said he can't drum anymore. I'm so glad we have such a record of his talent, live and recorded. His career's coming to an end for physical/health reasons, and I'm also glad he's seeing people rediscover him through these reactions. Highly recommend "Invisible Touch" with him in his band Genesis.
This video makes me emotional. I only saw it recently for the first time, I've never been to a concert with Phil. But I love the diversity in his band and in the concert crowd, there's something for everyone. He's a famously good guy.

What man has a morale conviction and is a musician and a world class drummer and a lead singer oh yeah he csn play the keyboards. He can write , produce and his live concerts are legendary. Poor Phil is in poor health right now, so injoy your retirement. Was hoping someone had mentioned this. Bone Thugs wanted to use the sample so badly that they tracked Phil down and flew half way around the world to meet him where he was on tour at the time to ask his permission. Phil was so impressed by their dedication that he not only allowed them to use the sample, but also agreed to make an appearance in the music video.

This entire concert is flawless...I saw the same set/performance in Florida on his First Final Farewell tour and I have to say it was the best concert I've ever seen beginning to end. The voice, the lights, stage, instruments, crowd, dancing, action...every single thing was as perfect as you can ever get. Saw Phil Collins and Genisis in Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY...The stage was kind of in the middle and seating was all around the stage. We were kind of in the back side of the band. He turned and come to our area and sang where we could see his face...awesome!
Love Phil Collins voice. The crowd singing along reminds me of hearing Billy Joel's 'Piano Man' live. I know you've reacted to the official video of that song, but hearing it live with the crowd singing the chorus is worth watching.

I love the island sound of this live version! It's worth checking out the original studio version too, just because it had an urban-electronic sound that was groundbreaking at the time. This is my favorite Phil song. I always get a bit choked up hearing it, the emotions in it are so powerful. ✌

Phil is left handed. Chester, the black drummer who toured with Phil is right handed. Also, Phil closed out every concert with this song. Sadly medical problems has made Phil retire from touring.
