Just booked a round trip ticket yesterday. Korean Air more than doubled the price from 60 days before. Was over B25,000 now, just over B10,000 60 days ago.
Went Q class on Qatar, they did not have special meal booked months before, seat did not work and they cancelled seat reservation, no refund. Never again, also one toilet out of order.
Some people like to be pattaya "heros" some people like to comb a beach in the middle of nowhere. To each his own. I dont get the purpose of that video.

I love to come to Thailand around the Christmas season to enjoy the Christmas spirit which Canada seems to be lacking more and more. The only thing that reminds you it's Christmas is the snow on the ground which I am not a fan of. Flights are getting very expansive every year this year it's 3 times the regular price, so I think I will be spending my Christmas at home with the snow..
I know you love to hate on Pattaya as do most people, but I would just like to say that video you recommended is representative to the sex tourists for sure but not everyone in Pattaya is a sex tourist. Despite all the videos on Pattaya showing walking street, soi 6 and all the other red light places there are other places too. If someone goes to Pattaya and only sees those places then they are missing out because despite what you may think Pattaya is a beautiful place with a lot to offer. How was it the Russian woman's fault she wasn't wearing a helmet? Bolt and Grab drivers are meant to provide a helmet, but 90% of their drivers in Thailand don't bother. The companies need to crack down hard on their drivers for that BTW.
Very creative video clip- “Pattaya Hero”. Worth watching for its uniqueness. I live in Pattaya 16 years ( employment 20 minutes away). Fortunately I was too busy working and hitting the fitness center a night to keep me occupied. I'm 64 years old, and I feel a little offended The report was blatant ageism. I am extremely well versed in smartphones, computers, and just about anything that needs fixing. There are a lot of young people who are very good with technology, and there are a hell of a lot of older people who are very much clued up as well.
I watched the Pattaya Hero video. I've heard the story 1,000 times. People think they're going to come here and live like kings and leave all their problems behind them. People who run from their problems tend to leave a forwarding address. I sometimes think the song "it's raining men" refers to Jomtien condos where foreign men who ran out of money take the final solution. Excellent video.
Many times I have experienced a different Bolt car than that shown on the app. The driver usually makes an excuse that the original car has broken down

When I move to Thailand I would never live in tourist areas like Bangkok Pattaya Patong e.t.c it would be great at first but then you would be influenced by the ex-pat community and some of them are very bad for your health, I would live in a village far away as possible from the tourist trap and ex-pat community, I'm not a big drinker so there's no way of it becoming a problem for the Thais or Thai officials and as for drugs when I joined the British army my father said to me if you take drugs or bring the military police to my front door you will never step over it ever again and he meant it, he was a Sgt Major who served 29 years who was a veteran in WW2,Korea,Hong Kong,Libya and Palestine who has seen all types of conflicts and drug addiction within the army because the men who served with has seen so much it haunts them into taking drugs thank god there is help nowadays, I served and I was diagnosed with PTSD 24 years ago due to the British army. Great content towards the pros and cons of Thailand but definitely like the statement "when I die don't send me back to the UK but bury me in a rice paddy" and that's me.... Why would I want to be buried in a cold damp corner of a grave yard in the UK to be forgotten in only a couple of years by your family and so called friends, if the Thais are right about ghosts then I would only want to see the sunrise and sunset in a warm country like the beautiful Thailand the land of smiles.

We will be in Thailand the full months of December & January. Our Son's Family of four will join us for two weeks around Christmas. We bought all these International Tickets (USA-Thailand) over 6 months ago so we would get the best flights for the best prices. We also bought local plane tickets ahead of time. One Airline changed flights and was difficult to get a refund when their new flights did not coincide with our travel plans. We changed to Airline that we normally used and had (thankfully) recently opened up a new time slot that works for us. The first airline was difficult to work with and we had to get our Credit Card Company involved to get promised refunds. I also add that our Son's Family have no international experience, so I will be flying to meet them and fly with them to rural Southern Thailand ( which includes a long overnight at a Bangkok airport. :) Getting all these tickets way ahead of time was highly recommend to us, since the tickets are selling out quickly. Crazy!!! :)

Tim, thre's a universal law in economics that is the law of supply and demand. Of course the airlines will sell their seats for the highest price they can possibly get but if there's more supply of seats, it forces the prices down. The more supply there is, the cheaper it gets, always.
I would say about 80% of hotel and service in Thailand is probably the worst I have received in Asia there hotels most are old service well below average and the quality of tourist has certainly dropped dramatically

PATTAYA HERO - What an eye opener for the virgin travellers to Thailand. So true, so real... Thailand can destroy many a traveller as per this short video. Having lived in Jomtien for several years, I am now moving in January to Nong Song Hong, a town of 13,000 Thais 100 km south east of Khon Kaen with my partner. Places like Pattaya will always be there IF you need a week of debauchery😏...
My wife is 42 and has no idea how to do anything with digital appliances. My brother is 66 and is the same, as are most other people in my country over 60. Tim and I are the only ones who are computer literate evidently!?!?😂

Is November considered a high season month, especially the early weeks of November?
Not really. But many Thai hotels claim it starts end of October. And Phuket is RAMMED! I’ve never seen it so busy :(

2:24 aborted my trip this year due to the $3000+ airfare by itself this year being more than my entire trip last year
