I put in an upgraded turbo mouthpiece and detail that in another video but i took it down. Below is a link to the exact one I put in. Didnt notice any major "performance" differences, but I did notice a lower EGT and a slightly quicker spool from the turbo. Biggest issue is that there are very sharp bends in the stock part and it causes areas of high/low pressure in those bends. at some point ill do an AirDog, but i have been working on other projects. Update - After driving approx 400 miles for Thanksgiving I noticed an almost 2.5mpg increase with the upgrades but the BIGGEST change was my EGTs never got above 700 on the interstate at 75mph. Truck is still running great with no issues.
Sir, Did your 05 LLY delete kit trip the check engine light? I am contemplating this change, however cannot locate any information on the CEL? Thank, Best to you.
Good question. For me it did not trigger a CEL because my truck isn't programmed with California emissions. It does however trigger "soft codes" since the computer no longer detects the egr system. To test this, find the electrical connector to your EGR valve and simply unplug it. The. Start your truck and bring it to operating temperature. If no CEL comes on, then you're good and you won't get an amber light. The soft codes won't effect drivability in ANY way. Sure you can program them out with an EFI live tune, but its not needed. I've had zero problems ever since and I still drive the truck. Hope this helps.

After getting off the freeway this morning, I noticed EGTs fall from 650-280 in less then 30 seconds. Also the same when getting ready to shut down. I wait until EGTs are below 300 and then wait 30 sconds. After the upgrades, I get under 300 in about 20 seconds. This turns the "three min cool down" into about 1:30. Will update after I get some MPG data
That turbo mouthpiece and ppe transcooler helped keep my truck cooler while towing this summer..all great mods.

Best way to do an upgrade to a duramax is to buy a different truck
