  • This coyote walked right by us as we were hiking back to Savage River along the road in Denali National Park and Preserve. Recorded June 9, 2009.

    A coyote walked up to me while I was waiting to go to school at the bus stop. Mind you, it and its buddies had just been in my yard, and one of them had already made it up there. I made some loud noises to scare it off, and i guess his little kronies got the message as well.

      A pack is certainly more dangerous. And they come in packs. They lure bigger dogs back to the pack and that's the end of Fido.

      @@cybervigilante Coyotes are not natural pack animals like wolves are. If coyotes are hanging out together, it's due to circumstance, not instinct like wolves...

    Coyote (AKA A Prairie Wolf or Brush Wolf) . Yes, a Coyote is a type of Wolf.

    Wolves are actually alot safer to view up close than coyotes if you ask me.

      Last time I did the research, you are right. Wolves use to have a natural fear of humans and no documented attacks while coyotes will attack humans so not sure why the person on the audio said “good” when the narrator said it was a coyote and not a wolf. Granted my research is very old and things have changed and critters are adapting.

      They shed twice a year, and look a lot bigger in their winter fur.

    look coyotes don't eat humans . unless their in a pack. But the mostly feed on bunnies and other animals. But humans aren't their thing , do you get me ?

      Naidelyn Roblero i get you i came up a naked hillside when i got to the top 3 coyotes 22 feet away from me we caught eye contact . los altos hills ca . i told the owner who lived on the property she said she has big dogs i figured they were hungry for there dog food

      Yes they do attack humans. It's just rare and most are rabid. Some coyote attacks on very small children and pets do occur

    Wolf attacks on people are extremely rare. Only one in history in the lower 48 states.

    FYI. If a coyotee can take dow a full grown buck it will easily take down a human. Lucky for the most part humans aren't on the menu. Unless ofcorse you are sick or injured.
