It’s true that coyotes don’t pose any threat to humans, but if you live in an area with coyotes make sure you keep your cats and small dogs in at nighttime!

Because dogs have no natural fear of humans therefore they do not care how rough they bite. Well unless taught to be gentle, usually it's good to train them at a young age.

I LOVE Coyotes! We have at least one pack nearby. When a train goes by blowing its horn or sirens are heard, you can sometimes hear the coyotes yipping and howling along with it,. its so cute

Well, yes and no. Being comfortable around animals helps but you absolutely need the extensive training Coyote and other professional handlers all have. Especially with wild animals.

Coyotes are extremely smart and adaptable, they can live in lots of different places/conditions.

Native Americans, especially Mesoamericans (Aztec, Yaqui, even Apache), revere the Coyote as a brother. I am not trying to create racial division or anything, I am just trying to illustrate the differences in culture. White men seem to want to just shoot them with a high powered rifle. I understand the reasons - they kill livestock. But the hate is really reprehensible.

Making baseless presuppositions isn't rational and moralizing without context and understanding is equally irrational. I'm not going to chase down coyotes (assuming I could even catch them) and strangle them to death. But whinging about farmers blasting them for killing chickens and pets is not some asinine, heartless endeavor done by cruel, cruel, evil man.
As that to which you even alluded, nature is red in tooth and claw. People forget that when they ponce around in a cute, safe enviroment in an animal enclosure. Animals will do what they have to. So will people.

I hear coyotes howling from time to time on the North Mountain Reserve right next to where I live in Phoenix, Arizona. Coyotes are such beautiful creatures, as are wolves and foxes. These animals deserve all the respect and understanding that us humans should give them. It’s a shame that humans don’t want to learn more about what they don’t understand and instead they resort to driving such essential creatures to extinction.
Coyotes are wonderful and highly intelligent creatures. Their howl is a “roll call”. When a coyote doesn’t respond then the females automatically go into heat to replenish the coyotes that are gone. That’s the main reason humans have failed at wiping them out.
Everyone should read ‘Coyote America’ by Dan Flores.

Because for one, these people are educated about how to behave around the animals and two, dogs are more likely develop behavioural issues due to people not being educated enough about dogs or because they haven't been socialised properly.

I've seen coyotes in the parking lot at my school after my night classes. I didn't feel too particularly safe with two of them and possibly more that I hadn't seen yet. But once I got in my car. I hung out for a while to get a good view of them. As long as there isn't a whole pack of them I usually don't feel too intimidated by the one's I have seen and they're actually pretty chill little wild doggos.

"approaching a coyote in the wild is virtually impossible" man I live in a rural area and I cannot tell you the amount of times a coyote has just jumped out of a bush that was right next to me because my dog just started chasing it. also my coyotes look like the Walmart version of your coyotes
Well... the owners feed that coyote. But your coyotes starving for many days.
Coyotes in rural areas have different mannerisms, often choosing to ignore people as much as they can, in a respectful manner. You say it jumped out because of your dog, well it was probably waiting for you to pass but got spooked.
Problems do arise when people start feeding them. The infamous pet eaters were often fed previously by some dillweed.
The coyotes in my area run the length of the back fence of all of the yards

About three times in Colorado, three have gotten close to me. The first two times they crossed the trail in front of me. One followed my dog team and screamed at me. It ran off when I threw stuff at it. They do follow people when people are near their dens.

Edit: also, predators are neccessary to keep small animals in proper numbers. Otherwise they'll overpopulate, eat all the available food, then die of starvation.
@@__1201 Point being, everything has its place for a reason. We aren't the end all, be all. And we certainly aren't smart enough to decide how to "balance" anything.

As a person from Arizona, I have never thought of coyotes as “vicious killers” lol. Every time I’ve seen one out on a walk in the morning the second it sees me it’s like “oh no person run away run away run” so I’ve always seen them as timid animals that just want to mind their own business lol
