    I'm really new to this world so I have a question... I can't decide if I should buy 2PCS of the ones you showed in this video or 2PCS of the Mini Gobo ones. I'll use them mainly for parties and not so big events, but at the same time I kinda want to put on a show with the lights, so I don't know which one will help me more with that. My main concern is them not covering up as many space as I want or not being so bright.
    Wich one would you pick or Wich one do you think is the better moving head overall??? Thanks.

      Thanks for the kind words! Each of these movers throws a different kind of light. If you want to mix many pure colors and fill a space with lots of light, I'd go with the mini movers in this video. If you want dramatic looking beams that look great with a fog machine or hazer and lots of crazy gobo patterns that can project on a wall or dance floor, go with the mini gobos. Appreciate you watching!

    And now, since getting into edrums, the time has come.... I would like to just try out some things with MIDI from edrums or the DAW into Q Light Controller+ through a cheap USB2DMX RS485 Adapter with FTDI chip.

    hello, your information is very valuable, thank you very much. There are 4 mini moving heads where I work. I run it with DMX. I set it to 1, 17, 33, 49 but the two work differently. I wonder why they have different colors and one of them turns in a different direction?

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For the different colors check to make sure they are set to the same DMX channel mode number. (9 channel vs 14 channel mode for example) For the different directions got into the menu and make Pan and Tilt reverse is set the same on all of them (either on or off)

    Another great video! Would this method also work with the Intimidator Wave 360 IRC?

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the same basic method would work for DMX programming as the position and color of each head can be controlled independently. It looks like the auto functions control the whole set so I'm not sure how much individual control you would have in this mode (but most people would never need or want to)

    Hey Steve. Great video! I have 4 of these lights and they are very good. Is it possible to control them via a DMX controller staying on 1 color in sound activation mode? I wish to create front and back washes with Betopper par cans and have the moving head color match/compliment the wash. For live music the random color changing is a little erratic. Appreciate if you can help. Thank you :)

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi- This is definitely a question that comes up a lot. Unfortunately, the built in sound and auto functions on little lights like these are completely separate from the DMX functions where you would set the colors. That being said, lots of controllers (even simple ones) have built in sound active functions so your best bet is to program your scenes and then try triggering them with the controller’s sound active functions. Good luck and thanks for watching!

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm- I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. Do you want 4 lights to all be red, but to move in time to the music? You could program a chase with the different positions (all in red) and then sync it to sound using the "Music Scene Playback" function. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

  • @kinhho8402

    Can you set up 4 moving heads in different brand and can move together in same direction with dmx controller?

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, you can definitely set up lights from different brands but chances are that the DMX channels will be different on each light. So to get them to move together you would have to individually program each one in a chase made from scenes where the pan and tilt positions were matched. Hope that helps and thanks for watching.

  • @partypetie
    @partypetie ปีที่แล้ว

    Is there a way to limit the pan, I.e so that it only shines everywhere EXCEPT the DJ booth. Those lights are blinding at point blank range! Both with or without a controller? Thanks

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  ปีที่แล้ว

      I know what you mean about being blinded at point blank range! The answer is yes and no. If they are in auto or sound active mode I don't know of any way to limit the pan or tilt on these. But if you are using DMX to program scenes then it is easy to limit the range to whatever parameters you want. Appreciate you watching!
