Wow I've had these lights for 5 years and never once did I ever put them in any of those modes I just plugged them in and let them go now I've learned how to make it look a lot better thanks for the tutorial
Thank You Sooooo MUCH! It's 2021 and I'm considering going Mobile. Your videos have saved me countless hourrs of planning, and an untold fortune in equipment choices. Less is More!
All things you are showing up in this praktical instructional VIDEO ...... they are , very, very, very USEFUL !!!! I just bought on Amazon the 2 pcs. of the Mickey LED mini moving head RGBW. I will try your instructions with them soooooooon !!!! \Thank you so much !!!! You are making really good practical hands-on videos !!!!
Thank you so much for this video Brian, I've just bought a pair of Equinox Fusion Razor Beams (my first moving heads) and this has helped me immeasurably.
Hi Brian, You did an excellent job and very informative in this video! My question is, after we hanged them on the ceiling, how could we set or change the program without the need of the dmx controller? The dmx controller seems too complicated and add extra hassle to me. Thanks!
Hi Brian, I bought some moving heads 12x12 LED beam i wonder how I can program these so they only shine in front of the DJ booth, now thes shine all over the place (don't know what the X-axis fine tuning is or the Y)axis fine tunig..probably is this what i'm looking for, but I don't understand. Thanks!!
I just saw your video and found it very knowledgeable. The problem I’m having now is that I have no SLND mode on my stinger spot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Excellent video👍🏻. Ditto on wish I had seen this before. Also wish I could find a site that translates the cryptic symbols on the moving head lights to what they actually mean; “nAST” (or the sort) meaning Master, etc.
I don't have these exact fixtures but something similar. Mine go into a mode where it each pan/tilt setting can be set from 127 thru -127, I've tried several variations and nothing seems to get them to work right. This is a really great video tho and I appreciate your expertise! Thanks!
How good are these lights on a truss? From the looks of the video they dont point down much...they look like they were made to be hung upside down only
thank you for the thorough video it's what i been searching for. i just subscribed. what about keeping the heads from turning towards the dj? does this mode prevent that? i'm looking to sync mine like yours but also prevent them from turning backwards where the dj is. thanks in advance
I'm trying to get good light movement patterns with My DMX Go, but I'm finding out that some of their auto-programs are good for the front and others are good for the back (but not both), so setting the Pint and Tint on my lights does absolutely not good. I think I'll just try to setup some good presets on My DMX Go and just leave it at that. If you have any comments, please reply.
Does anyone know if there is a way to limit the amount of PAN angle? In other words I would prefer that the heads not pan (or tilt) to behind the stage where there is no one to see it. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Ok. I followed your instructions to the tee and i got it working. One night i pressed some button on one of the spots and now when i plug in my DMX cables it shows a number 1 on both inno spots. One moves around and the other is i guess for lack of words “confused”. It goes on and off, strobes the whole 9 but doesnt follow the Master for nothing! How can i get it out of that mode and make it work again? Do my settings have to be some way for it to work other than this video?
Great video Brian. I am having an issue with my ADJ Inno Pocket Spots staying on one specific gobo. I am also for the first time using a Obey 40. Thanks and Merry Christmas to you and your family
Hey Brian. Excellent Chanel, I’m just getting into moving heads. I picked up a pair of inno pocket spots. How do you set them so they don’t point to the floor on a t-bar. Want settings do I use?
Great video. Iv would like to ask how can you (if you can) make sure the lights don't go past a certain angle to not go behind the DJ for example but only forward facing crowd and stage? I mean doing this without dmx
Thanks 🙏 great vibes and video, can you do this on any spot or LED lights and love the different types of tilt and in version, can’t wait to try this when I get LED moving spots
Hey Brian, I just bought 2 pocket Pro's (love them) and they have obviously the same features as the ones you are talking about in this video but also degrees. I haven't messed around to much but I am hoping you can do a walk through on the features of the pocket pro and all what each feature means. If you have done something like this and I haven't seen it please feel free to direct me. Thank you for all you do, training every day and learning is easier with you!!
I had a quick question; If your two inno pocket spots are connected to a dmx controller and I am using the fixtures during a show where I have programmed them to a playback, can I somehow get the fixtures to run show mode during the interval of that show? Love your videos btw!
Hey, I do this using a DMX splitter. You just need to run more cables. I have a 2 channel splitter. Channel one goes to all 4 moving heads. Channel 2 goes to all other fixtures. There is also a remote (UC3 controller) connected to the master of the moving heads. All i need to do is pull out the cable on channel one of the splitter. My movingheads start to respond to the music in show mode 4 and i can control them using the UC3 controller. All my other fixtures still respond to my DMX software.
I noticed before doing this configuration of both pan and tilt inversion the lights seemed to be going 360 degrees whereas after they seemed more 180 oriented is this true?
I'm going to be buying 4 Inno Pocket Spots at the beginning of next year, along with 2 Pocket Scans and 2 Pocket Rollers. My question is, if I want to run these from a WiFly DMX controller such as the WLC16, could the Pan/Tilt inversions still be achievable since I would not be using Master/Slave?
If each light will have individual control, no. However, if you assign them to the same channels & control them together, you can take advantage of pan/tilt inversions if you wish
I am sort of new to moving heads, I've purchased two of these and I love them but even with pan an tilt inversions they go all over the place like behind me I would like to keep them scanning only the dance floor if that makes any sense how do I achieve that?
You've recorded this 9 years ago and today, 9 years later, you helped me out a lot haha. Thank you!
Wow I've had these lights for 5 years and never once did I ever put them in any of those modes I just plugged them in and let them go now I've learned how to make it look a lot better thanks for the tutorial

This has got to be one of the best videos explaining pan and tilt on moving heads
8 years later and this video is still helping the world! Thank you so much🫠
Wow 7 years ago you told me stuff I needed to know. Now I actually need to use them Thanks this was very helpful
Awesome video bro 🎉
Thank you! You explain things very well and clear, brilliant clear video! "I will now have a Brilliant Light Show"
Wish I saw this b4. Would have saved me so much trouble . thanks for these videos. There awesome. So informative.
Hey Brian, I had bought these a few years back when they were just released and wasn’t able to use them till now. Great video, thank you
very good video, clear instructions... i've had a pair of moving heads for a while and never knew what slave 2 was.
Sir you truly are a great person....thanks for the knowledge....easy and simple!!!
Thank you so much for this video Brian, I've just bought a pair of Equinox Fusion Razor Beams (my first moving heads) and this has helped me immeasurably.

Thank you for this wonderful and simple video. This is still the best one out there!
Fantastic video, answered a lot of my questions. Thanks Brian!
how do you slow it down?
Easy to understand and not a lot of talking! Thanks!
Brilliant advice. Thanks... I'm getting the ADJ pocket pro pair next week, hopefully they work the same as these!
Thanks again.

I'm picking up 2 Pocket Pros tomorrow. Thank you for the informative vid!!☆

Wow, now i need a second Inno spot....the effects r so cool
Is there a way to make them to pan left and right so they are not turning back to us on the stage
Excellent informative vid
Good video my friend! Thanks a lot!!!
Question, can that be done while connected to a DMX controller?
How good are these lights on a truss? From the looks of the video they dont point down much...they look like they were made to be hung upside down only

Exactly what I wanted to know. Tilt inversion. Thank you!
Thanks Brian! Just bought my first moving heads and the airstream bridge. This video was perfect for getting that mirrored look happening!
i'm wondering what happens if you mix and match fixtures, like 2 moving heads and 2 uplighters... going to try tomorrow!
Does anyone know if there is a way to limit the amount of PAN angle? In other words I would prefer that the heads not pan (or tilt) to behind the stage where there is no one to see it. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Brian. How do you programme so it doesn’t go rearward and light up the dj
Excellent illustration. Thanks.
How would you make them stay down to light up the dance floor?
How did you only illuminate upwards?
at least, wich one of from 4 Adj is the master or its doesn't matter? please explain, and thanx for Video
ugh...that's soooo what i needed!
thank you kind sir
great help man! i'm waiting for my 2 intimidator 355z,can't wait to pratice on all of their features ,nice video!!
Thanks Brian. Was always wondering what this SL2 might be used for. Now I know!
How do you re align the gobos if they become misaligned?
great vid... is there a way to set these so they face they crowd at all time, while upside down or placed on floor?
DJVetz510 Yes, I did a video on that in this moving head tech series about "show modes" th-cam.com/video/ohgKfsgUPOw/w-d-xo.html
Your videos are very helpful thank you
I wanted to set it on a stand and have them pointed at the dance floor 80 percent of the time, is that possible?
What about the "u king" pocket spots?.
They have a different program compared to the American D.J
. pocket spots
Hi Brian, Any idea why both lights on pocket spots stop working stimultaneously? Both are brand new. Thanking you in advance
How many lights can I slave to the master light?
Can you change the gobos in to "open light", & colours too?
Great vid, I don't have adj version very similar though to my lights I wonder if the settings would be the same?! I like slow room scans.

Man you are a Genius,, love your videos
Well explained made very simple to under stand and a great help to me newbie to lighting
what wattage were the lights, that you used in the video.
Thanks for the info! I was looking for a way to run my gobos independently to music without daisy chaining.
OK, link to buy these or see how much? I hope they arent too expensive.
How do I make this light stay steady?
Your DMx cable is just a XLR 3 pin right?
What is the exact setting for sound mode here?? Yours follow the beat quite precisely
Great video.
Iv would like to ask how can you (if you can) make sure the lights don't go past a certain angle to not go behind the DJ for example but only forward facing crowd and stage? I mean doing this without dmx
Did you find out how to do this as I have just bought one and trying to figure out the exact same thing, thanks!
@@soxysox5274 no you pretty much can't unless DMX or unless the light you got has this as a function
@@e11world OK thankyou for letting me know, shame
Hey brian i've done what you've showed me on the video but it's not working and it's just following each other and not mirroring each other......
Thanks 🙏 great vibes and video, can you do this on any spot or LED lights and love the different types of tilt and in version, can’t wait to try this when I get LED moving spots
this is a good overview of the slv 1 and 2 its a good info
nice advice info....
Could you change the gobos /colours too?
Hi, could you explain how to sync them with the beat and if there is a way to personalize their movement without passing trough a DMX controller?
How do you keep them on one colored light setting instead of multiple light design going off
Hi have you got any videos on how to control sharpy 230 7r moving heads, with dmx light controller or software thanks
Would I be able to apply these processes to my Lixada moving heads or are they not likely to follow?
Will the modes work with RB-dmx1? Or does the RB-dmx1 override all that?

What about the gobos & colours, can they be changed with 5he controller?
Hi Brian! Do you have video of Moving heads using DMX?
Is there a way so that the light face more towards the dance floor when you have them set up on the floor/Truss/Glow totem?
what if you put your slave only on tilt en leave the pan out, how would it look like?
I can’t get mine to slave but not working what step can I be missing?

i have 6 dj spot led, will this work with them? if how how do need to set them up? thanks
Yup should work the same :)
Got a pair of moving heads recently it has setting DEFA on it, what's is it?
with my Inno Spots... how do you adjust the hight on each, one seems to be higher then the other side by side.. thanks
do the Showtec kanjo spots work the same way? with the slave 1 and slave 2 i mean?
Great tip. I never knew this. Thanks Brian.
Does this also work when they are controlled by a DMX Controller?
Yes it does :)
How can I pause the light and have it remain fixed onto one place?
what is the name of your moving heads?
Awesome. This video is why I just bought the pocket pros. Thx!
Good video! Nice and clear, do you happen to know if you can control the master with DMX and the slave follows?
Pretty nice video I was wondering how do you set the sensitivity you have to screen for one of mine to go off
Hello. I have a question. It doesnt work to make the tilt inversion/pan inversion. What can I do?:) I followed your instructions but it doesnt work😓
Check our website Americandj.com let me know if you have any questions jerrye@elationlighting.com
Does slave mode have just one speed?
