I have been fan since Heartbreaker. I saw Ryan Adams live for the first time, last night in Atlanta. I was blown away. I hope to see Ryan and the Cardinals again.
why cant the albums be produced like this, soo raw!! love the studio stuff, but the live versions are soo much more appealing, his audience would probly triple!
i think it worked out well. he played a good set. there was probably a few thousand people that heard for the first time though. everyone seemed to react well, so i think it was a good gig for him. he sounded great!
You are so right. I never even liked this song on the album. Maybe lost highway has some high quality live recording that it can drop on us some day. That will at least hold me over until he comes back.... if he does come back.

this whole session is incredible … Ryan, so beautiful and talented x
Without a doubt, this is my favorite version of this song!
The MFin' Cards are just too freakin' good...serious jammin' on this!
And now Neal gone too. Glad we have this to remember.
Ryan and the Cardinals, just blow me away every time.
Ahh, the good ol days
What a great version of this tune !
I never het tired of this
This really is one of my FAV no doubt.. They ripped it up both ways with this shit. long live Cold Roses!!
Neal 🧡
These jams are the best of the Cards... times like these I wish I had a time machine
RIP Neal
Dammit. Ryan Adams is just too good.
Love the heavy Dead/Garcia influence, and the Pedal Steel player that looks like Andy Dick...
best version of this song ever...and one of my favorite RA songs ever
Goodnight, Spacewolf! Rest in peace, Brother.

Perfect
This is Monumental ... Superb...
one of my many favorites, this live version is so raw and kicks
its called A mixolydian, its the mode based off the fifth degree of a major scale. if anyone cares to be specific.
One of the best versions!
I miss this band especially you SPACEWOLF so thankful I got to see you guys 4 times before it was over. The best up there right next to Radiohead.
i think it worked out well. he played a good set. there was probably a few thousand people that heard for the first time though. everyone seemed to react well, so i think it was a good gig for him. he sounded great!
saw him and the cardinals supporting Oasis in DC... amazing show!!
I was there Merryweather Pavilion, Right ? Lol
I liked the version that opens Easy Tiger, but this is so much better! Frustrating that the album didn't capture their live sound more
RIP Space Wolf, you will be missed.
I miss the henry rollins show
Absolutely amazing performance... maybe DRA's best. They were so in the groove. Fuck yea!!!
god damn...if i wasn't thinking those exact same thoughts.
Sweeeeeeeet!
Neal looks straight out of the 70’s here haha
henry rollins shoooooow.

As in the last show?! DUDE!
where did he get that amazing t-shirt?
g'mornin sunshine
@AtmaRising yeah it's a good jam!!
so much Jerry Garcia in his playing here. if only Jerry were alive, the two of them would have collaborated by now.
A major but playing the minor 7th (G) instead of G#. its kind of a combo of Amaj and A-blues/pentatonic
@BerchRooney Ha! The intro has a Jerry feel to it I think.
I always suspected that Ryan Adams was, indeed, Batman, too...
does anyone who plays guitar know what kind of scale or riff they are playing in the beginning?
Im very picky... but I actually thought this was a very beautiful, sensual rendition..
Ryan Garcia.
ryan singing sorta like jeff frickin buckley
RA was good with the cards but i think that he was better as a solo artist
3 people have no taste in music what-so-ever.
