It’s not courtesy, it’s the law! If you record people in a first world country without their express consent, you could land in trouble. Privacy is of utmost importance in all conduct! European countries, especially, are very pedantic about privacy. Heard of GDPR?

In Europe night public transport is generally safe as everything is recorded in CCTV. Walking in night depends on locality and you need to have some knowledge. I live inLondon, but in some areas I will not take a chance at midnight.

My daughter lives in Berlin since one year. She always says it’s very safe and local transport is available for almost the whole night and is very safe
I was amazed to see the public transport system at Stuttgart.... and we were out at night but felt very safe.. people were very busy within themselves...
I was in Germany 7 years back completely new and always felt comfortable and safe to move around ANYTIME

I am staying in Berlin for last 5 months and it is very safe as per my experience. Sometimes I go out late night for photography.
Just be more careful in Neukölln.

Berlin is generally safe, but there are parts of the city where it’s best to avoid being alone in middle of night. Random cases of aggressive people who may be high on drugs or alcohol are not too uncommon in the middle of night. There are parts of that city that locals generally avoid late in night. In a group, you are relatively safe. Minor crimes like theft and physical intimidation can be heard during those hours. All in all it’s a safe city relative to other parts of Europe.
P.S. : Have been here for more than 6 years.

The point here is the gesture the man did in the train was a basic thing that could be find only in a developed country, if it was India I dont think people here would have even bother to shift.

i am living in berlin from almost 4 years, little bit of my points: varun no one is that friendly that they will start talking to you because you are energetic at 3 AM in the morning, Also i was surprised when i saw you are taking big risk with your foot measuring the distance from platform to train entry (that looked very childish and unsafe if there was any moment in the train), but anyways look luck with the good content and don't expect everyone to be that friendly especially in cold countries that they will start talking to you just seeing that you are TH-camr (people prefer lonely life here)
I agree, he is very childish type abroad. I don't understand whether he is happy making videos or happy travelling to new places. I also understand that even after travelling the whole world he acts very dumb about things. I mean it's confusing to see him interacting with people 3 am in the morning asking people is it safe at the railway stations. There are several train stations in India where there will notb e a single person on the platform would he do the same thing asking people is it safe 3 am in the night in India. I mean mostly he is too stupid in his actions and nit making India proud

Hi Varun! I was in Germany with my family,just before COVID.While shopping for clothes in an upmarket store,my daughter and I faced racism.The senior shop assistant instructed her junior not to help us .

@@debikabhattacharya3029 i live near Dresden and I've been to Dresden very often. Personally, luckily neither i or anyone in my friend circle has faced any racism. But, i wouldn't say all people are friendly towards foreigners, Dresden being the main city in East Germany, where in East Germany people are more reserved and xenophobic compared to other parts of Germany.

When train is at station then WC is disable to use normally in Europe and UK ; that is why it was not in operation by push button

The citizens have no bearing on the geo-politics of the world. I lived in germany for two years for work , trust me though germany is far more cleaner than India but India is lot safer than germany
bhai main aik dafa raat ko 10 baje city center of berlin chala gaya. koi bhi nahee tha, na rastoon per na buses main na underground trains per. Buhat dar laga tha
I think the button you keep pressing is for the main door not the washrooms door. Since train door is already open nothing happens when you press it! Washroom will not have automatic button because what if someone is inside and you push button from outside?

Hi Varun: my daughter and I visited Berlin about 4 years ago and we had a great time walking the streets and taking public transport. We even walked back around midnight to our hotel which was near the embassies. A long part of the walk was near a park (i forget the name but it is a famous one). No problems at all.
