Rachel the issue with the butter isn’t your written recipe or the original written recipe, it’s the fact that you put 2 sticks, 1 cup of butter in your bowl. So would you suggest we do the same or revert to the written recipe?
So I'm not the only one who noted that when she ran through the ingredients? I swear, old as I am, I began to doubt myself on how much a stick is, haha!
Rachel, I bake snickerdoodles for Christmas. I dip them in melted white chocolate the sugar doesn’t come off. I bake a little early and freeze. They come out of the freezer just like fresh. Great advice about reaching out to others!
That's a big ol bite of cookie. I laughed out loud. LoL When I eat. I think. I sure am glad no one can see me eating cause that was a big bite. LoL so I feel you
Hi Rachel. The cookies look amazing. Just give Todd a cookie. He will live them. Rachel, your such an amazing lady. Happy Holidays to you and Todd. God Bless you Rachel. HUGS 🤗❤️. Mari'a. ❤️🤗❤️🤗❤️🤗👍👍👍👍👍💕💖💝❤️💙💙💙💙
mom use to make homemade eggnog for a special treat but she also made eggnog cookies fudge and cake doughnuts icing for the cake and glaze for the doughnuts she did other stuff with it as well.
Merry Christmas to you two!! I wanted to mail off a Christmas card this year from BC Canada however our postal service has been on strike for a month now so it wont get there before Christmas but I do have one and will mail it off as soon as the strike is over.
Mine too but he doesn't mind it in baked goods. Psssst...try it in pound cake in lieu of milk...bonus points if you add nutmeg (as much or little as you like but start with a tsp) ❤
I used to make cookies for my kids and a few neighbors back in the day. Not any more, my oldest son bakes his own,and my youngest son doesn't really care for cookies. I've always hated baking.
I make our eggnog. It’s not complicated at all. Problem is how my husband goes through it sooooo quickly. Question, you said 1/2 cup of butter but put 2 sticks in. 🧐

Your pjs are SO CUTE!
Yes, being kind to someone makes a world of difference. Thanks Rachel.
I agree with you on the fresh nutmeg! After you use it one time, you’ll never go back to pre-ground. Those cookies look and sound delicious!

Yes, I make cookie & candy boxes & platters every year for neighbors, friends, family, gatherings
Yum! I’ve never made snicker doodles. Think I’ll try these. Thank you! Love your jammies, too. ❤

Rachel your Christmas cookie videos have been very heart touching and amazingly awesome thank you
Those look delicious! I am doing an oatmeal, dried cranberry and walnut this year for something different
Love baking in your Christmas jammies❤
So delicious. Thank you for sharing ❤❤❤
It’s weird that the cookies didn’t spread all over, since you doubled the amount of butter. You seem to have a magic touch!
Drinking Southern Comfort egg nog right now. It's really good. No booze. Cookies sound good!
Made these this morning and they are delicious. Thank you for sharing.
Heck with the cookies, where did you get the PJ from? Fabulous!
Resale shop 💰

Omg respectfully I’m going to have to steal this . Snickerdoodle is my absolute favorite cookie

I think I'd like to make these cookies. Thanks.
This recipe looks intriguing. Thanks for sharing it Rachel.
They're not truly snickerdoodles without cream of tartar :) I might give this a try, with 1tsp cream of tartar added!
thank you! I felt there was a serious void in the recipe, kept waiting for the mention of the cream of tartar!
My husband hates egg nog, but wonder if he would notice if I made this. Yummy!!!!
Mine too but he doesn't mind it in baked goods.

I need to get some egg nog!! I have been making pumpkin snickerdoodles they are soft and delicious
I love it ❤
We make the balls of snickerdoodle and then flash freeze on a tray the double zip lock bag then bake when we want a few.
I make Alton Brown’s aged eggnog every year. It is sooo good but very boozy. Nice for a small Christmas treat.
Looks good. Is it a 1/2 cup of butter or the 1 cup you put in?
Here's the whole writeup lilluna.com/eggnog-snickerdoodles/
How can you 'love' a comment asking for clarity without clarifying the question??
The original recipe says 1/2 cup butter
@@kelleclark
From what I understand, some people do that to mark which ones have or haven't been read. Not sure if that's the case here.
Would these work in a cookie press?
They probably would be fine. I don't have a press to test them.
2 sticks of butter is ONE cup...you said 1/2??
I was going to say the same.
I fixed the writeup.
@@1870s The description still says 1/2 cup.
I thought so, too. She should have used 1 stick.
A few comments below she adds a link to the original recipe from her source. The original recipe does say 1/2 cup butter. Hope this helps.
Not sure what the writeup is? So it is in fact 1 cup of softened butter?

The recipe is right there with a link to the original recipe to
Rachel, you cook can and bake way more than I do. You should really try homeade eggnog, it's not hard at all.

❤❤❤🕊️
Put nutmeg in your frosting.
I heard that eggnog cookies and cakes should stand at room temperature for 24 hours to get the best flavor. 🤷♀️ tho
Didn't catch how much sugar
I fixed the writeup ♥
Thank you 😊
