- Today on our ultimate world cruise, we get back from Machu Picchu and jump right back out on a surprise tour of Lima, Peru. This tour was added by Royal Caribbean after Machu Picchu was cancelled, and it was GREAT! We toured the city, saw the Love Park, experienced a wonderful water show, and an excellent meal. Our ultimate world cruise continues to not disappoint.

Loved the water park in Lima. RCCL certainly is pulling out all the stops to make sure you have excursions in place of cancelled ones, and so far as I can tell from your videos, they have done a very good job! The park with the water looked like fun. Probably very relaxing just to watch and listen to the water do its thing.
It was one of the most amazing city parks we've ever been to. And the fact that it is the second most visited tourist attraction in Peru and only a couple dollars to visit made it all even more amazing

Wow! I absolutely loved your tour of Lima! After all the times I went there in the 90s I never saw the statue or the water park. We only went to the Gold Museum and in the evenings hung out in the lovely Miraflores nightlife.

We walked that seawall for 2 hours and it ended at that Mall. The walk was full of art and garden designs overlooking the seashore park below.

Did you have sunny skies in Lima? we did,and we were told we were lucky,as Lima is called Lima the Grey.
There were times when it was overcast, but we did have some sun.
I'm currently on the cruise for only a month (LA to Brisbane). For me and my wife thirty days is enough even though everyone we have met have been very kind. The ships condition is one reason why I'm satisfied with 30 days and no more. I like playing pool especially at sea days but the two pool tables that are suppose to have working gyros only one table occasionally works (mentioned it to guest services and others) and the other is out of order. If they can't get them to work then get rid of them and use the space for something else. The furniture is scanty and the cabinets in our cabin have seen far better days. Great trip but glad to be heading home in two days.

I love your videos! I have quite a few cruises under my belt. Not sure if I will be able to cruise again, age keeps me close to home, I find I am not a good traveler anymore. A question about the friends you have been doing activities with … are the all new friends you have met on this trip or friends that came with you on this trip.
Puntarenas was one of my favorite ports …. They had an area where you could shop for local handmade crafts. Some beautiful leather work.

These are new friends we made. Royal had for full world cruisers before the cruise even began so we met them. We were all part of a Facebook group and then we had zoom calls and planned excursions together. Now they’re like family.

I don’t understand the flying into Lima then the 2 hours back to the ship. Where had you been that you needed to get back to the ship? Love your videos
We had been in Cusco Peru. It was part of a royal Caribbean excursion in an attempt to get to Machu Picchu.
What's going on with Equator? They have super developed their port for tourists complete with an Air conditioned mall. Sad that it's not being utilized.
I think you mean Ecuador and there’s just a lot of crime and unrest, especially in the port area.
Did you try the native Lima beans?
You know, we did not try them.

What do the other people think about what you get that they do not get? You pay a premium toget what you get. They should be happy that they get some extra. How do you work out dinner with all750 people?enjoy the rest Have more fun.
It’s true. Everyone gets what they paid for wonderful. As for feeding that many, sometimes royal Caribbean has to split us up into two or three restaurants. They do an amazing job finding venues that can feed a lot of people!
