I have to say, the behavior of humans in general has declined a TON in the last few years. Societal norms are no more. I've encountered people who are so impatient that waiting at a simple red light is no longer tolerable for them. Oh, they'll stop...for a second, make sure the coast is clear and then keep driving. Laws are now just suggestions. People just walk into grocery stores, fill a cart and then just walk out of the store without paying....and NO ONE goes after them. The employees are told not to confront stealing customers. I applaud you guys for braving a transatlantic cruise. I can handle about 7 days and then, I'm done. This was a fun video! Thanks for posting.

Exactly! I wanted to also say that straight people don’t walk around with their hands in their partners arse, but then had to rethink 🤔 I take that back! Things have become different lately. Not something I would allow nor do, but I can’t speak for anyone but myself.

the zit popping had me gagging and then when you mentioned the zit popping in the hot tub and washing it off in the water...that took my gag reflex to a whole new level....I banned hot tubs since I got in one once and an elderly gent stepped out and his bandaid on his big toe came loose to reveal a knarled ,fungal,black/grey mess of a toenail...but the zit popping????? NEVER AGAIN will I even contemplate the possibilty of bathing in some elses pus!!!!! Thank you for this invaluable information...I would have screamed at those zit poppers in the casino....and even louder in the hot tub...that may have contaminated to water with MRSA....I work in a Hospital Laboratory....I know gros when I see it!!!!...this is how disease spreads!

Hot tubs are giant Petri dishes, literally kept at the perfect temperature to grow a plethora of biological threats from the constant dipping and washing of people into it he human soup. It BLOWS my mind that they’re even allowed, lol.

You have cheered up my rainy Sunday morning. As an elementary teacher I see behaviors from parents that only children would have done a few years ago. I think a "workshop" may be too short for the majority of people these days. There needs to be a series of "Living Your Best Life" classes that people must complete before they are allowed to go outside their homes. It would teach basic manners and behaviors. Lol. Please never stop sharing your observations of life. They are always a highlight of my week.

Thank you for mentioning the pool chairs & people who try to reserve them all day. When I go out in the morning, I see towels and books on chairs. Nasty old me, picks them up and gives them to the pool attendant.

😂 I completely agree with you. We were on a Royal cruise to Alaska and were waiting to get into the dining room on formal night. The huge crowd was added to by a photographer taking pictures on the nearby stairway, but all were pretty much behaving themselves. That is until a woman started pushing herself to the front of the line through the crowd. But wait! She had her hands on a young boy’s shoulders pushing him forward. He said, “Grandma, why are you pushing me?!?” “We’re getting ahead of these people,” was (I am not kidding you.) her reply. Unmitigated GALL. Way to teach your grandson, Grammy!

I had a similar experience with towels. We put our towels and beach bag on our chairs and took a dip. We come back and our belongings are gone. We approach the young couple who was now sitting there and ask them if they saw our things. Then they said to us "well how do YOU like that being treated like that." I didn't have a clue as to what they were saying. Apparently, they had come out, put there personal belongings on the chair a few hours earlier and then went to breakfast. I can only assume it was the pool attendants who removed their things. I said we did not touch your belongings, nor would we ever do such a thing but you are not supposed to reserve chairs for hours. In contrast, we had taken a quick dip. They didn't believe us and got loud like we were criminals. No one from the pool staff intervened. It was very unpleasant.

Nope, you are totally justified. My biggest pet peeve is the way people will just stop walking right in the middle of the walkway to check their phones or talk or whatever. Just stop and block. Another other one I HATE and find beyond annoying is strolling 4 people wide so no one can get around them. And then those are the people who just walk out of a venue and don’t even look to see who’s coming. I am pretty short and have been run into because of just basic inconsideration. Sheesh. Bottom line, people are becoming more boorish as years go by.

Ive only been on one cruise, which was in the red sea. We had the best tine. My wife was queuing at the Purser's desk and the woman ahead of her said she wanted compensation for the terrible excursion she had taken the day before. She was trying to claim she was not warned that the sea had rocks in it, and her daughter had stubbed her toe. The staff member did a good job of not laughing, and passed the lady a complaint form. My wife now came up to the counter and expressed her disbelief but the staff member said, they just will try anything. The complaint form may well land in the bin. I really enjoyed your video. It just popped up from nowhere and i will definitely look for more. Best wishes to Marcus 😊

Is it just me, but I am seeing more and more bad behaviors. I just retired from teaching kindergarten, with the last year having several 5 year-old children spitting in my face! Even worse is that parents would laugh when I told them about their child's behavior. God help us, as we have a generation that has awful, and mean spirited behaviors.

I just got back from a short 4-day cruise. It was my first one ever. I had a good time, but going solo I thought I might feel kind of awkward. It was at first, especially at dinner in the main, but the crew made me feel welcomed. After about half a day, I started hanging out on the deck and random people would just start talking to me. Eventually we all started hanging out. I think I only saw two entitled people. Very demanding sorts. I don't know why they would give the crew such an attitude. The crew was great.

We were in one of two parallel early morning lines to self disembark, at least 200 people in each. A very entitled woman walked to the front where we were and announced she could cut because she had an Uber coming. There was a mutiny, we called for someone from the staff who very professionally sent her to the back of the line. The cheers were deafening!!! I was thrilled to see her still waiting on the curb as our transport van sailed by her. Yes, they are out there!!! Thanks Morgan!

I think people's behavior deteriorates on longer cruises, especially without ports or extra shows. Everyone start out relaxed and excited to be on vacation, but their real and entitled selves starts to unravel as time goes along. I would especially avoid on fun ships after our 14 night Carnival sailing.

100% agree. When I was in the Navy everything was fine when we only had to go out for a few days but when we had to cross the Atlantic & once when we had to be off the coast of Bosnia for 21 days straight people started getting at each other's throats. There were times I had to just lock myself in my office & out in some music just to get away for a little while.

@@chrisharwood5448 yes I agree. We cruised on Carnival years ago, hated it. Tons of drunks and entertainment was basically drinking. I almost never cruised again, we prefer Royal Caribbean. A month ago we needed to get away for a bit, RC was booked up so we took a chance and booked the Celebration for 7 nights. We thought since it was their newest and largest ship we would be fine. We enjoyed the cruise itself but once again decided Carnival isn’t our vibe. We enjoy a drink but that’s not our idea of entertainment but Carnival seems to think it is a entertainment in itself. The food was very hit and miss the entertainment was poor, the crew were unfriendly except for our cabin steward, other passengers acted entitled and rude so basically that just confirms our thought on Carnival it’s not for us.

    • @danasandoval624
      @danasandoval624 ปีที่แล้ว +4

The very inappropriate behaviors you described are not acceptable in straight people either. We have gotten to the point where these actions need to be addressed so no one thinks it’s ok, it ISN’T!!! Sadly a couple of generations seem to have stopped teaching their children manners and rules of public behavior, cleanliness and common sense and now they are adults and act this way in public. Great example:: Covid, we had people having to be told cover your mouth and nose when you sneeze, wash your hands after the restroom, wash your hands before you eat, stay home when ill and if you need to go to the doctor. I am older and was taught these things as a child. So since these adults seem to have not been taught these things we need to educate them so we are not subjected to their behavior in public.

💯 Yep! Having been a life long cruiser I have been very saddened by the downturn in both the quality and the attitudes of inconsiderate people now let loose on this type of vacation. I am certainly not a snob but now days something seems to snap in some peoples heads and feral creeps in. Ships are too big and quite frankly I am glad that I gave up when I did. Sadly the cruise companies have gone tacky and the customer is now only a cash cow. The best days of cruising was in the 70's and 80's and it started to go down hill when Carnival expanded it's brand along with a few others. A great shame but that's progress! 😉

I think your points are very valid. I get very annoyed with people in the buffet. I remember one cruise I was also standing in the line for the buffet, and a person tried sneaking in front of me because there was only one of something left, and THEY wanted it (not on my watch sister), so I gladly heaped it onto my plate. Also, we normally cruise in early November (fewer kids on cruises from the states), but one year we took a cruise out of New York the first week of November, and quickly found out that New Jersey doesn't have school that week. over 700 kids on the ship under the age of 18 and the parents didn't care what they did. One day at the buffet, I watched a kid pull the handle on the soft serve ice cream machine and just watch the ice cream go all over the place while the parents stood there ignoring the child.

I've had many random strangers comment on my food choices, especially at the cruise buffet, where your food is on display for everyone. As I eat completely animal-based Carnivore (meats, seafood, eggs, butter, cheese.... no grains, sugars, fruits or vegs) people often feel the need to tell me I'm not eating healthy and I'm going to have a heart attack. Actually, up to 3 years ago, after eating a standard diet my whole life, I was left very unhealthy. Eating this way, I've lost 80 lbs, reversed all my health concerns, including pre-diabetes & high blood pressure, and at 61 years old, feeling better than I have in 40 years. So thanks for your concern and unsolicited advice, I'll just be over here enjoying my plateful of steak & butter.

We really enjoy your approach on the people's behavioral aspect of your trips because we spend good part of our time at theme parks and we experience the same things all the time. The line abuse seams to be the most common effect but there are others and it most definitely worth to talk about it. In a very shallow analysis, besides other factors, the pandemic instead of making people more sensible and understandable about the others created an unacceptable collective unconscious aggressive behavior that some folks insist to show in the most diverse ways. We also understand that wanderlust plays a major role on peoples behavior and the sense that "nothing is gonna stop us now" can make a person to drive at 55 miles per hour inside Disney parking lot disregarding completely other people's lives putting in risk our families, with the only purpose of getting ahead of people that respect the rules and that's just the beginning... Thanks for bringing that up in a very nice and appropriate way so everybody can discuss this in a more adult manner. Have a Magic Weekend!

There was some sort of respiratory illness going around on our cruise that was spread by coughing. I got it from a guy sitting about ten feet away from me who was coughing at breakfast and I could smell his breath. Normally I wear a mask but had it off because I was eating my breakfast. All throughout the cruise there were people free range coughing in the elevators, in the hallways or any place they were and I seldom saw them cover their mouth. It seems to me that they should think to cover their mouth in the dining room with their cloth napkin but instead there were some who actually were blowing their nose in the cloth napkin after not having thought to cough into it. Apparently the people you ran in forgot what it was like to be around people during covid but it seems to me they should have remembered how to cover their mouth when they're coughing.

I didn't think about it because that's just common courtesy. I was on a scuba liveaboard (20 guests) with one adult who had to be around 30 years old. He would climb over furniture like that to get to the dining table in the main lounge. Then he proceeded to eat three of the dinner rolls on the table when they only put out one roll for each guest at the table. Totally clueless that he just ate other people's dinner. SMH

It isn't just on cruise ships. The stuff I have seen or heard working in a hospital, sigh. One guy demanded I give him the $2 needed to leave the parking garage since visiting hours were over and we were making him leave. People showed up at midnight to see friends or relatives, WITH KIDS IN TOW! Tired, cranky toddlers. Happened all the time. One great left over from Covid, the 24 hour open visitation ended. Hope it never returns.

It would take all day to share annoying behavior of others. But on cruises it’s still parents who let their kids run wild on the ship thinking well where can they go? And unchaperoned kids in the buffet picking over the food , and ..see I could go on and on. I have my next transatlantic in October. I’m going solo this time . I will find a quiet spot close to a drinking establishment and enjoy the sea. At 62 I just don’t have time to deal with stupid anymore. Oh one more thing. Worst behavior on our last transatlantic was we had a large group of gay couples from Germany traveling together. They were mostly very fun . About a week into the cruise my daughter and I were sitting in the martini bar while a group conversed behind us in German not realizing my daughter understood a good portion of their conversation. They where making rude derogatory comments on people walking by, mostly the Americans. It was so satisfying when as we got up to leave, we turned and commented to them enjoy the rest of your evening in German. Needless to say several of them avoided us for the rest of the voyage.

I don’t know why people think that because they pay for a cabin they believe that every place on the boat is their private space.
Staff use to confront people like this but it just starts drama.
To keep the peace they will let people do this.
They were also desperate for customers.
Now that cruises are back, the boats are being over booked like airlines do.
I’m hoping that means the crew will crack down on it.
They can easily replace the passenger with someone else.
And when people start losing their money over their behavior, they start to behave.
I like popping pimples too but, I would NEVER do it in public. Except - if I was trying to get my Husband out of the area. Away from the slot machines, out of the pool/hot tub.
Just threatening to do that to him has got him moving.
Thankfully I have never had to do that in public. I also hope he never calls my bluff - I still can’t do that in public.
The husband with his finger in his wife during the family photos.
That guy wants a story. He wants to be able to look back at the photos knowing what he did. He may even brag about it to his friends or kids when they are older.
He’s still an ass for doing it.

Hey Morgan! Very funny video today! Now, I definitely am having second thoughts about going on a cruise! At least on land vacations, I can get away from these knuckleheads. On a ship, you are kind of "stuck" with them for the duration of the cruise. I've also avoided any land buffets (lots of Asian restaurants do buffets now) since this one time, an older schmuck grabbed food (multiple times) with his hands instead of using the tongs!!! 😳

For me, it’s the saving of seats. For context, on my last cruise, I had been nursing a knee injury. My husband and I spotted two vacant seats, at the aquarium show, about half way down. So, I hobbled down the steps, like little kids have to, using just one leg, for the decent, and sat down. At almost 70, it wasn’t easy for me, with the injury. After about 30 seconds, a guy, maybe, 40, at most, turns to me and says, "Those seats are saved". I point blank told him that I wasn’t moving and as they typically announce at the beginning of shows that saving of seats is prohibited, he should already be aware of that. Some people around me actually clapped, lol. Needless to say, he was steaming mad, but I just didn’t care. When his people finally showed up, he loudly proclaimed that we had taken their seats. They didn’t seem to mind at all and found seats, on their own.

I am on a cruise right now and in the buffet the other day we had sort of the same situation. Someone decided to have a video call and the sound was way too loud for being in public and it was also not coming in very well so it sounded even worse. My husband said quite loudly "That isn't annoying at all". The person got the hint and got up and left to finish their phone call. And that hasn't been the only person on loud video calls in an inappropriate place.

thanks for making me laugh today! I often think I am oblivious to things that go on around me, so next cruise, I will be paying more attention! I have noticed recently a lot of unattended small children, who are not always well behaved. We were in the windjammer and sat near a family with 3 small children. ages 1 to 5. The parents left them all at the table to go get food. It became apparent to the crew, that there was a need for supervision at this table. They went over and stayed about 10 minutes with the children, while the parents were nowhere to be found. I felt it was not safe to have children making friends with strangers so easily , even though in this situation they were perfectly safe, because maybe a different time may not be so safe.

I was in a dog park last week. Me and my boyfriend were the only people there and one other person came in and stood with us. Before the guy showed up, I had asked my boyfriend if he remembered an old viral video (The pug that couldn't run) and he didn't know what I was talking about so I pulled out my phone to show him. The other guy told us that it was rude to play a video in public without using earphones. 🤷‍♀️
So nobody spoke up about the couple watching Netflix but I end up next to this one weirdo who has an issue with a one minute video in an open space???

Just came off of a RC cruise. Was reluctant to take one because of people’s behavior on our last cruise. Went on a smaller ship to see if it would be better and it seemed to be. Stuck to the MDR as much as possible the food there was fine. Our room was also an ocean view in the belly of the ship it was much quieter. Sat with people from the same floor as us and they were all fantastic people. Was it just a fluke? I don’t know but from now on we are sticking to the small ships with rooms in the belly of the ship.

First, commenting on what someone is eating is incredibly rude. They have no idea what you normally eat & you could've decided to treat yourself & even if it is what you normally eat, it's still not their business.
Second, that couple who bought their iPad to dinner probably shouldn't be on a cruise together if they can't go more than an hour without some sort of distraction. I'm a child of the late 70's & 80's so I've always eaten meals in front of the TV however even as a kid I knew not to bring any of my handheld games to a sit down type dinner. If they just had to watch that show they could've gotten something & taken it back to their room.
As for things I've seen or heard on two different Carnival cruises I had a situation on one where the people in the balcony cabin next to me were pondering if they could hit the ocean water if they tried to do #1 from the balcony & on another when we were playing a trivia game we had a bunch of drunk guys purposefully walking through being loud & disrupting the game. In both cases they were in their early 20's. These things haven't turned me off if cruising but I will say I'm hesitant to go on a sailing longer than 7 days because when you have that many days at sea you are bound to see a lot of strange stuff.

On the “Netflix in Solarium Bistro” topic, I just got off Ovation of the Seas. While in Sorrentos a couple was watching something on their phone and it was very distracting. I would have asked the staff to address the sound level or just asked myself. Phones or iPads for kids with neuro-issues are fine, wear headphones or earbuds. If there is NO issue, then teach some manners. We pay money to dine in the specialty restaurants on the ship and that includes the ambiance, not a table of phones on loud, and a total lack of manners.

On this past New Year’s Eve, my husband and I were on Lido on the Carnival Celebration waiting for the ball to drop. There was this kid (20’s) standing by me and he was wearing a Riddler (Batman) full suit. Couldn’t help but notice him. Midnight came and since he was alone, I said Happy New Year. He looked at me so meanly and said “Who are you? What do you want?” I was appalled that some punk could be so rude . Absolutely ruined my night.
