I have no words to thank you, Jamie, that would be worthy of your help!!!!
I tried to get help from geeksquad to no avail, they just couldn't figure this out, LG, Android and Nexux support were unable to help, I watched over fifty videos trying to fix it, and nothing that would allow just a normal person with a phone on their hands and no special tools, to recover it..
And then i saw this, and fixed it in seconds, and I am soooooooo immensely grateful to you right now, for dedicating your time and sharing your knowledge and doing this, bcs while sometimes it's just a phone, at other times it's a life line, and people like you inadvertently end up saving the day and being a big hero, without even realizing it.
THANK YOU !!!!!!!
*big hug*
+Dasha Linares wow Dasha! Thank you so much! So glad this helped you. All I ever ask is that my viewers just click the like button on my videos and share them on Facebook so they will help others out as well! Thank you again for your wonderful comment!
Thanx much. Followed your reset instructions step-by-step (N7 plugged in to my PC, on-line),
and hard rebooted. You Saved the day, as my tablet was sick, with nothing functioning properly
When everyting reinstalled, I had Android 5.1, which now makes the N7 work fine.
Harold Wagner This is great NEWS! Thanks for watching and I am glad this helped you out!
If android does not show I would first try everything from the beginning and try it 2 or 3 times. If it still does not work then I would recommend flashing it with the original Google factory image. I have a video for that also but it involves several more steps and takes a little bit to do.
Thankyou SO much. My 7 was totally gone after a recent update and tried several reccomendations from Nexus forum with no joy. I'm no techie... but then dropped on your video and gave it a go (in desperation I must admit) very easy to follow - and I'm now up and running.. re-loading apps is a small price to pay. Thanks again!!!
Marian Reed Thank you, glad this helped!
I tried the hard factory reset,it brought up the restore screen when I picked the factory option it rebooted and all I get is the Google screen and stay their waited for 10 minutes.still the same Google screen.

Almost the same here 😔
Thanks for your factory hard reset recovery mode information ! Actually I've learned this rebooting method awhile ago from others on the Internet's reading but un-succeeded every time I tried this factory reset on my Nexsus-7. I've got it this time, after I carefully watched your demonstrated on this clip. You're really A BIG HELP!!! and TH-cam is getting better and better with the people like you. I've saved your channel to my favorite. Thanks guy !
+Peter Dao awesome! Thank you for your comment! Please remember to click the like button on my videos and share them on Facebook or wherever! Thanks!

Hi Jamie
My nexus 2012 is stuck in bootloop and won't go into recovery mode, I've downloaded the android studio and java but can't get the recovery menu on the nexus to come up to enable me to do the next step, any ideas?
Many thanks
Rhonda Harrison I have other videos showing how to do that on my channel. If you need the link let me know.
Jamie Wagner if you could post the link, I'd be very grateful. Need every bit of help I can get, I'm not fantastic with technology 😳 many thanks

Ah fantastic, I'll give it a go. Thank you so much 😊
Didn't think I needed these steps again after 9 years but the 7 just got stuck at booting and optimizing apps loop. This got me out of that. Thanks for posting this. I have two Nexus 7 2013 and they are still great but are retired to light weight A/V remote & music streaming control.
If I do Jamie's factory reset will I lose all info on my calendar for the last 6 years? I need this info for a critical lawsuit. The calendar is all I use the tablet for. Thanks for any way you can help!
Omg you my friend has a new subscriber
Thanks man!

@@jamiewagner Jamie, since I wiped data the tablet worked for two days and now Google logo has come up again. I've followed your instructions again and everything working fine. If it crashes again, do you think the tablet is finished it's life?
Not sure it might actually be a hardware issue causing that, or you can check and see if you could install a different compatible version of android, you would have to make sure it’s 100% compatible version for sure before flashing it
@@jamiewagner thanks, it's working OK now but playback error on purchased TH-cam videos. I've tried a lot of basic fixes but no luck. The nexus 7 is problematic 😐
It’s so old now, but back in like 2013 -2014 or so when I had one, mine did okay, I was really into android back then and I really had the best of luck with my Nexus 5 phone. I swear it was the best one ever for me. I miss that phone.
How To Hard Reset The Android Nexus 7 Tablet. Wipe ALL data and restore it back to factory default settings.
This reset should only be done if your tablet has not been rooted and is running only stock android.
Hi Jamie. On my nexus 7 I have added the developers edition of the new android l. How would I remove it so it goes back to normal settings where I am able to get the new update by going through settings on the tablet itself as the new official update has finally be released on the nexus 7
Many thanks
You can go watch my video on how to restore the tablet back to factory by flashing the original image, Video is called -How To Flash Google Factory Image Android Nexus 7 2013
I tried memory wiping after unrooting my Nexus 7 tablet, and it is stuck in a loading loop. I could still access the bootloader, but what should I do to get it from not boot looping?
Thank you good sir, because it you I was able to take my Nexus 7 off of demo mode
Enter the recovery mode and CLEAR CACHE - that was the trick and my tablet works fine again. Thanks for posting this.

Google Nexus 7 2013 Hard Reset Bootloader Recovery Mode. If you forgot your pattern, pin, password and can't unlock your nexus 7, or it's locked up, frozen, unresponsive, the screen is stuck, it's not booting, having reboot x issue, you can try a factory reset which will wipe all user data and hard reset your tablet, using the bootloader recovery option. This will permanently delete all data.
Jaime, my table is stuck on the erasing/wiping data/formatting data screen. thank you in advance.
NDPeach3 I would try to power it off and start over from the beginning of my video. Follow all exactly. I hope that works. If not you might need to manually flash your device with the original factory image.
I have retried from the beginning several times. Of course, I'm going to try it once more; can you tell me how to manually flash my device. I'm going thru major withdrawals. I miss my tablet. :) I really appreciate your help.
NDPeach3 Hi, yes just hang in there, I'm going to upload a video on how to do this in just a day or two or sooner. I'm working on it..
thank you so much....
after 1hour of google. you acshualy explained in a propper way how to enter the god damn system recovery. all the other viedoes guides exspect you to justknow how to do it. WELL DONE ! liked!

Thanks Jamie Wagner I think I'll do my Nexus7 too, its never been done before. I did my 5 and 4 based on your videos and they are fantastic 👍😁 BTW, how's the fund raising coming along ?
Oh hey how's it going! Im not doing the fundraising right now. I stopped it for a while. I'm going to wait until I grow my channel a bit more and then try it out later.
I'm still growing the start up of my business Jamie Wagner website is done, working on AdWords now. AdWords is quite involved. Good to have Google support with learning the UI though. You get your own person who you can keep calling back when you get stuck 😱
I'll be letting people know about your Channel bro 👌
Matty Watson Thank you so much matty!!!! I will do the same for you!
Cheers Jamie Wagner
Thank you for that! I thought that I had no recovery even though I just flashed Lollipop!! After your video I know it needs to press power and up to get to the recovery menu!!!
Vasilis Prantzos Yea not to bad once you do it a few times. Thanks for watching.
thanks, it was very useful to me, even today, 10 years later!!!
So glad it still works 10 years later😂😂 👍 please share this video if you can it helps out my channel then I can keep creating these helpful videos!!!!
Oh my gosh thank you so much!! I've been trying since last night to get this to work and watched a bunch of videos. Yours is the only one that just helped me solve it. A million thumbs up!
+Jewels Fields thanks so much! Please click like and share the video on Facebook or whatever! Or just go click the like button on some of my videos!! Thanks!!👍😁
Thank you so much! I did not know you tap the up button to get the wipe menu. I was holding the the up button with power which just reboots the device. Just power with tapping the up and releasing buttons at the same time brings up the wipe menu. This was a life saver as screen is broken and that was not working. Thanks again!
Your welcome. Thanks!!
I gained some experience with fastboot on my Nexus 7 2013 this morning...I was using the TWRP recovery App while still booted in CM, and I installed the newest version of TWRP thru their app....It did ask if I was sure that some path was supposed to be correct and it warned me that some devices can't install a new recovery while still booted. Everything seemed OK until I rebooted. It went into TWRP recovery where I was dismayed to find all my data gone and no OS to reboot to! Holy shiiizzz! I was dead and almost bricked but lucky for me I had Wug's Nexus Tools on my PC. I was able to restart with a Lollypop boot image I had on my PC...I was surprised again to see CM boot back up....with all my data intact! What a close call
yea that was a close one. Wug's Nexus Toolkit RULES. It makes the process like automatic and easy.
Thank you for showing how to access the bootloader! I had left my Nexus 7 unpowered for a long time, and I wasn't able to charge it - instead of a white battery appearing when plugged in it would just be a black screen with a bunch of white static. I was able to fix this by accessing the bootloader and going to the "power off" option, powering off the Nexus 7, and then unplugging/replugging it back in. The charging battery now appears correctly when it is plugged in.
I'm really glad the video helped you out. Thanks for watching!
Many thanks Jamie, after you trick on USB and the Nexus Rootkit + some factory image everything is back to normal. Thanks
brahms008 Glad this helped Thank you!!
got stuck on a step from a guide to update my nexus 7 and this helped. Thanks!!
Your welcome! thank you! Glad it helped!
Great !
It solved my problem, I couldn't power it on.
In my case, I just chose the option "power off" and then I just started it normally.
Thanks for your comment and watching my video!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! YOU DONT KNOW HOW HAPPY I AM TO HAVE MY TABLET WORKING!
thanks very much - I had a broken screen and this allowed me to perform the factory reset!
Excellent!
Thank you for this information. I was having such a hard time trying to reset my tablet.
You’re welcome I hope the information was helpful

Good video, wish the audio was not muted. Solid information that helped. I was updating and got my N7 to show CM12.1 but could not get any apps to restore. In the process of restoring the apps, the system was reset to CM11.01. So I guess i need to do the application to CM12.1 again & try & get the apps restored without going back to CXM11.01....are we having fun yet?

Awesome. Thanks, glad it helped you!!
Hi Jamie. Very clear videos! Tried to do factory reset; when I press last button in recovery mode the screen goes to factory reset screen but freezes permanently. Same with trying to wipe cache. Any ideas?
Phillip McMinn yes I recommend flashing your device. here is the link th-cam.com/video/5ka5dnPghzI/w-d-xo.html I have several other video links in the description that should help you out. Thanks so much!
Jamie Wagner Many thanks for your advice. I'll try it out!
Jamie Wagner Stuck at first try. Device is locked, so cannot enable USB debugging in developer options. ??? Any other options?
Jamie Wagner Is the +1 a yes?

OMG Thank you so much I've been trying to fix my Nex 7 for 3 days and i found your video and its restoring me Google acc. now. Again thank you
Your welcome man.. Glad it helped you out!
Hi Jamie, thanks a lot for this elaborative video, I managed to do the hard recovery on my nexus 7 2013, but I still have the same issue of screen freezing every minute or something, seems it still got a virus. Do I need now to reinstall stock android/format the tablet to solve this issue and how to reinstall the android on the tablet?
Thanks in advance.
Yes I recommend that. I have videos showing how to flash the original google image if you need help with it. Just look on my TH-cam channel. You have download the ADT bundle and a few steps involved to do it correctly..
Great video bro
I would personally like to thank you for this video as I broke my nexus 7 and no longer used it and was sending it off for refund and needed to restart it.
Great video!
Thank You.. Thanks for the great comment. I'm glad it helped you out!
Thank You!!
Thank you! I was trying this whole time by following other website's instructions but it never worked so thank you!
Tbabe456 Thank you very much for watching! glad it helped you out!!
Awesome tutorial. I did the master reset, upon bootup i get the welcome screen but cant continue the process. Im unsure if it's frozen on the welcome page.. any ideas??
Try to go through the process again and see if it’s any different, The other issue you might be having its problems with your tablets hardware if it’s just firmware or software related usually the reset in this process works fine but if it keeps freezing up on you even after you reset it that could indicate a hardware problem
@@jamiewagner did it again. I just realised it's not frozen since i can use the volume ticket and it displays when i vol +/-. But the screen isn't responding to touch. Unsure whats wrong
sounds like that thing has some hardware issues which means you might not be able to get it going and you might keep having those issues.
Thank you for your answer. Yes, I was hoping to find them on my nexus, so that I can send them to my phone or to someone else if possible. I got my tablet without instructions.
Yes, I downloaded an app from the google play store called File Explorer. It's a nice app and it allows you to see all the files on your device. You could try it out. The best thing to do is connect your tablet to your PC. Then manually go in and copy the files over to your music folder on your computer. I know exactly what you are trying to do. I have a video that shows how to copy pictures over from your phone. It's basically the same process for the tablet. You can go to my youtube channel and watch it. It will help you see how to do it. its called How To Transfer Or Copy Pictures From Android Phone To PC. Hope it helps you out!
Thanks a lot. I will try the app but also check your video. Hope its ok if I get back to you, if I still have a problem.
Jamie, It Finally worked after about 2hours of trying. Great Vid. Thanks
Yes, glad it worked. Sometimes it takes a couple of times. It's great because it wipes the tablet like new. It runs so much better!
Hi Jamie,
Just performed a hard reset on my Nexus tablet and it seemed to work , but it won't come back to the welcome screen - little coloured balls just keep going round and round! Done this twice now . Any thoughts ?
Great video , by the way!
Your recovery might actually be have trouble. I would actually try it a third time, if it still gives you trouble then you need to flash the google factory frimware, but that involves a bunch of steps on the computer. I have a video showing this on my channel for the nexus 7 but not the nexus 5, but it's the same idea.
Thanks for that .I'll have a go.
Thank you so much! Nothing else I could find worked and it's been off for years. Very well explained, thanks a bunch 👍

hello jamie, i have an issue with my nexus 7. when i go into recovery mode i do not see no command under that android guy laying on his back. and when i enter into the menus from where we select reboot system now, apply adb update, wipe data/factory reset i actually see
E:failed to mount /cache (invalid argument)
E:can't mount/cache/recovery/log
E:can't open/cache/recovery/log
E:failed to mount /cache (invalid argument) and some more stuff like that.. i do not know what wrong with my nexus 7 wifi. plus when i turn it on i stays at black screen with white google logo and start at the top. help me plz.
Thanks Jamie for such easy to follow instructions for a non-tech person. I bought the Google Nexus 7 2013 for my husband for Christmas, the first one we had wouldn't even turn on so we took it back. This is the second one and we seem to have a problem turning it back on after he charges it. You see the "Google" and then the "X" but it doesn't go any further than that "X"; this video did the trick.
Do you have any idea what happens to it when it does this and is the reset bootloader recovery something that is going to have to be done from time to time? Again, thanks for making this easy to understand! Great job for us non tech folks!
Your welcome. I had the same issue with mine when I first got it. I reset it and it's been fine now. I'm not sure what might have caused your issue, make sure your plugging into a reliable power source. I had issues with the nexus 5 every time I plugged it in to charge it would act funny, my outlet tested fine but I figured out that the ac adapter was failing causing issues with my device. You really shouldn't have to reset it all that much unless you have issues with it. It's just a good idea to wipe it now and again. Keeps them running nice and fast. I will probably reset mine every few months or so. Even once or twice a year is fine. They just seem to run better after the reset, unless your having issues.
Than you Jamie. This was a big help, my Nexus is now up and running again. I have a question, can a stranger simply reset my device to the extent that he/she erases information related to the own of the device? If so what can I do to protect my device...Does anyone have any ideas
Hi jamie,
I have watched all your Video's and have had to try and use the hard reset, and after getting past boot loader and recovery mode, all I have is the Google logo?
I have tried repeating this step, but the logo stays up for ages, only once I saw the android with ! , but by the time I had chance to watch your guide, it powered itself down again??? URRRGGHH. HEEELLLPP Please.
Omgosh thanks so much for posting this
I messed up my nexus and got this nasty virus on the devise that didn't alow me to do anything. I knew about the recovery mode but I wasn't sure what to do from there. Thanks a million
Austin Riese Your welcome. You can do this anytime you want. As long as you have all your stuff backed up. It's good to clean them out and start fresh sometimes. They run like new again!
Thank you for the You Tube video Jamie, I had to rollback my Nexus 7 from lollipop 5.0.2 to KitKat 4.4.4. Lollipop has a lot of issues on the Nexus 7 2012 with WiFi. It ran so slow and apps locked up all the time. Now I wish Google would put a check box in Google Frame Services that would allow an user to turn off the stupid notifications to update. I researched the issue and the only way is to root the device then I can turn it off. But thank you again.
you are very welcome. yes they really do need the option there. that would be great. I really didn't want to to root just to do that but I would to make a video. I'm glad you researched it, thanks for letting me know..
Hi I just post to say thanks for sharing this video it really help me on my Nexus 7 android tablets. Just asking will this hard reset also erased any virus as well on the tablet just asking cause I follow your video & selected wipe data completely. I look forward to your reply a.s.a.p. Tafs.
Yes it will erase the most common viruses. Unless you really have a bad one that got into the recovery section, but you should be fine. It that was the case then you could just flash this tablet and that will delete any for sure.
Hey, great demo...but i am still confused on the backup sequence. am i to understand doing what you showed, it automatically backsup up my data and photos and music, and continues to reset? Am I 'reading' that correctly? If so, where does the backup go during this process? Or is backup a solo endeavor? The title unsettles me "Backup & reset"...so that is how I am interpeting this function. Please correct me if I am wrong. I need to get rid of a constant error i keep getting about 'screenoverlays'.
To be safe make sure you backup on your own first also. It’s supposed to backup to your google account but everyone’s tablet is set up different so I don’t know if yours is set to backup correctly. You better back up manually first before resetting yours
Thanks you for your detailed video with step by step guide ..looking for it for long time and found yours .. thanks again
+Shivesh Renganathan thank you!👍 have a great day!
I couldn't get past the first menu until watching this. However, after following the instructions and Wipe data/Factory reset, it did that and then brought back the menu - When I selected Reboot System Now, it restarted, brought up the Google logo and then went directly back to No Command. I can't seem to find a way past this.
if you can't get it going using this video then you will need to use the cable and connect to your computer and then you could force flash it which usually works if this way don't
@@jamiewagner Thank you for your quick reply. To be honest, I was handed this tablet with only access to the No Command screen and the operating system not loading. Unless there's software for my laptop to recognise the device plugged in, It's somewhat beyond my remit, as it doesn't show in Windows Explorer.
Yeah it used to be called android tools. And it’s a little work to setup and do it. Here’s the link if you wanna read more. I have a few videos on it in my android playlist. developer.android.com/studio
@@jamiewagner Thank you very much for your speedy replies and your assistance. I'll check out the developer tools and see what I can do. This is further than I've got before - thanks!
You’re welcome
Thanks. When I got to bad command, I never knew there was a second menu using volume up

Thank you Sir. I followed your lesson and my Nexus is back in action again. I am extremely grateful, keep up the good work. Best Wishes Shirley Wright

I get to the step where you press and hold the power button then press and hold and then release the volume up button to bring up the recovery mode menu, however this button press sequence is not working for me. I'm stuck on the 'no command' screen no matter how many variations of the button combo press I try. Any thoughts or ideas?
tubadevil Yes you have to press the buttons just right to get this to work. In the right order!
Neat! Very informative, I struggled with this for an hour before finding your video. Thanks so much!
Thanks Man!! Thanks for watching!
jamie
thanks for the illustration. my problem with Nexus 7 is that, I played with the vision impaired set up, and now I am stuck with it. Unable to go to the apps page with the Setting where I can click and reverse the procedure to normal setting.
How to I flip the app pages using current setting?. for some reason I can't do it, even with a mouse attached to the tablet.
I really wish not use the option of Factory Restore, if there another other way of doing it.
thanks
ML
It should be under the accessibility options.
My problem is that after I did a cache reset, I can no longer get to the recovery mod. Previously, after entering the recovery mode, an icon (no command) appeared there, like in your video. but after resetting the cache, when I try to enter the recovery menu, I just have an endless loading with the logo and therefore there is no android icon and the inscription “no command”. For this reason, I cannot perform a system restore to factory settings.
Thank you so much! You just saved my tablet from a blast of 12 gauge buckshot!
lol. Thank gosh for that!
Help a lot. I was stuck at the no command screen before and didn’t know what to do next
No problem! go through and hit the like button on a few of my new videos to it helps me to keep creating helpful content like this for everyone thanks and have a great Saturday
Hi Jamie, the video is very helpful. Hoping you can help with some kind of error message I'm seeing as it's wiping cache and data. "Data Wipe complete' appears, but is surrounded by multiple lines like 'Can't open or mount cache recovery log', failed closing /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/misc(i/o error). It gives me the option to 'reboot system now' on top of the screen afterwards, but it doesn't past the Google screen when rebooting. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
+Ronen Pomeranc I'm not sure about that error message you might have to research it some what I would do is try and reflash it again see if that helps maybe it just didn't go through right the first time you tried
+JamieWagner Thanks for the reply, I'll continue searching, be well....
hay Jamie, thanks a lot for helping.
wanted to ask, followed step by step but at the end the google logo is still stucked.
any guess what shell i do?
thanks in advance
assafrivel Sounds like if this did not work for you then you need to flash the factory image to your device. That will usually correct any issues. I have several videos showing how to do this.
Jamie Wagner
thanks jamie!

my problem is that my computer doesn't recognize my tablet though i connect it with usb.

Hi Jamie
Thanks for this. I have followed the video and it took me to the home page but now it won't go beyond there. Keep trying to set the language but the volume cursor moves on the screen. Would appreciate your help, if this sounds familiar.
Thanks again :-)
Thanks for that. It stopped me having to re-boot it more than 20 times and keep loosing the power.
Your welcome. I plan to keep making videos. Thanks for watching..
Awesome! it worked with an Asus Memopad 7 K013! after 3 days of looking

HELP !!! Please. I am hearing impaired (can only hear 10% of human speech) and need a loud tablet to hear videos. I have this very same tablet. Nexus 7 2013. I thought it had 2 speaker sections.... along one on one side and 2 little ones on the other side. I can only hear the 2 little ones. Am I confused? How do I get the other side operating as a speaker or is it not a speaker? How do I add a boost so I can increase the volume. Will resetting the factory settings restore/remedy this?
I think you would need to buy a external speaker and connect it
Hi Jamie great video and i get to the bouncing balls on my Nexus 7 first model 32Gb and it sits with the bouncing balls like the X for an hour and does nothing I can not get past that.. Have you any ideas.. It was working fine a couple of days ago and it is very well looked after.. I di not do the latest update which screwed so many Tablets Thank you
+martin lowe I think you are going to need to flash your tablet to fix that one.
+JamieWagner Jamie thank you for taking the time to reply I have Googled that and read the process on how to Flash the Tablet but I think its beyond me.. This Nexus 7 has been nothing but trouble almost since I bought it with its constant updates. The last system update killed it and i had to pay to get it returned to the previous Op system. I think I have it solved though I went out and bought an iPad. My other Android a Hudl is clinging on but will no doubt die now
+martin lowe you can have a look on my TH-cam channel I have videos showing how to flash Android Nexus images.
will do thank you Jamie
It worked seamlessly! Thank YOU!

Very Helpful Video Good Looking Jamie!
Rah Davis Jr Thank you for watching my video. I have a girlfriend.
One day my Nexus 7 got stuck at the Google logo upon being powered on. It had never been rooted and the developer options had never been enabled. I followed the directions on this video and it seemed to be progressing nicely. However, when I made it to the Recovery menu in addition to the options listed I also received a lot of 'failed to mount /cache' messages. I was still able to attempt to 'wipe' the device. However, it ultimately ended with even more of these 'failed' messages and remains in the same state as when I began. Any advice you can suggest would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
+Neeva Candida You will have to flash your device manually. I have many videos that should help you out.
+Jamie Wagner that what happaned to me, i did the reboot but it got me to the google logo, i even dident got any failure result...what can i do?
You saved my tablet. My friend maked a joke and changed my pathern password and maked fun of me and he forgot the pathern he made i had to wipe all but now its firn thank you for saving me my 300$ 2013 birthday gift.
Michel Raymond your welcome! I am very glad this helped you out!
I followed the instructions and did a successful reset. However, my Nexus 7 tablet does not connect with the Wi Fi even though the signal strength is excellent. I am not sure what to do after the factory reset.
Hi Jamie,
My nexus 2013 is stuck on the google screen. I followed your instructions but it still did not work. On the screen with the android and exclamation mark, the words no command is not underneath the android. I went on to wipe the data/factory reset.
When it finish, I get
E: failed to mount /cache (invalid argument)
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log
It just goes on and on.
I then click the reboot system now and it just sits on the Goggle screen and does nothing else. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
You might have to watch my other video and restore the original google factory image. There are several steps involved..
How do you establish the pin # for tablet settings? Is it a set number or do you establish it when you first sign on?
Check my TH-cam channel. I created a video showing how to set the Nexus 7 2013 up with a screen lock PIN#. Also how to unlock and remove it. Hope that helps you out!
Thank you. I had tried repeatedly to reset my device in recovery mode, but it always hung at "No command." Watching you do the reset showed me that I wasn't pressing the power and volume keys "just right."
I also have another video on my TH-cam channel called "How To Install Google Factory Stock Image In Fastboot Nexus 7 2013". This procedure will work great!! Thanks!!
I need help please guys. After clicking the recovery mode and pressing the power button. The google logo still appears and I've been waiting for almost 20-30mins to see the android with the chess open. I need help please. I'm using a Nexus7(2013)
I am stuck at 4:08 for almost 20-30mins(still counting)
it should work for you

Hi I just post to say thanks for sharing this video tutorial of how to hard reset your nexus 7 android tablet if you're unable to go into the settings menu which was the problem issue I had to do a factory reset there so I watched your video to see how it's done & with the help of your video I achieve that so I thank you for that. I look forward to your reply as soon as possible. NB:This is also my first watching your youtube video.
Worked first time, thank you!

Hi I did every step but my tablet just keeps flashing four circles red yellow green blue and never coming on. Not sure what to do after that.
Hi can you try it again? Sometimes it takes a couple of times. If it still does not work then you probably have to flash the factory image. I will be making videos on how to do it soon.
When I get to the Android logo with the red triangle there is NOW no - No command written underneath. There used to be but it now doesn't come up, when I try to wipe cache of factory reset it just hangs, the word Erasing under the logo is not there and does nothing. Any ideas? :)
Jeff Rose I would flash the factory image instead. That you way it will install a clean recovery. So then when you try this it will work like normal. I have other videos showing how to flash it. It requires additional steps. If flashing does not work then I would assume it has a possible hardware issue. Check my channel fo the other videos.
Thanks for responding... I tried it 3xs but the flashing color circles come up. It never goes to home screen. I've subscribed so I'll look for new video hope soon.
Yea sorry to hear that.. thank you very much for subscribing. I will be doing the video soon. It requires a few extra steps, once I have it all together then I will upload it. It will show exactly what to do. Unless your tablet is having a hardware problem.. then restoring the factory image should correct the problem! Thanks!
OMG THX SO MUCH :D
SAVED MY NEXUS 7 2012!!
CHEERS DUDE!!
barnstormer322 Your very welcome thanks!
I successfully reset and wiped the data, but it didn't say "reboot system now" or anything when it was done. It showed me the android guy again, and it stayed there a while, but no options. My phone still cant turn on

Thanks Jaime but the problem is , I can't even turn my tablet on to see the Google icon. If I was to get a new tablet /I pad , what one would you reccomend?
+NstyAutos That might be a harware issue. Try holding the power button in for like 2-3 minutes see if it toggles on.
+JamieWagner I have done that multiple times.
+NstyAutos have you checked the hardware battery drain issue/ not charging issue? I've just done it and it's back.
+smudge5 you might have to factory reset it.
+smudge5 Maybe my tablet is not charging. It has been plugged in for rays but it will not turn on.
