2012 here, had to replace the uconnect module. Both front cv axles, steering rack, recent brakes and rotors, water pump, trunk module, the outer ac module (inside outside air control) tires ever 10k regardless of driving habits, 15.4 mpg avg. but will drive it till it’s dead, revive it and do it again. It’s a beast in the snow, sounds great, and you’ll never have an awd v8 again. I’m at 118k btw. And the chilled seat on the drivers side died. My biggest complaint is the breaking. It just doesn’t want to stop. I had a 69 Lincoln continental with suicide doors that had a 460, and weighed like 6k and felt better stopping. Enjoy the car as long as you can, these are going to be the car you talk about to the grandkids someday! Lol

Yeah the front suspension goes quicker on these. I did the CV Axles and had my steering rack replaced too. Blend doors are a pain and my mpg is like 12-13. I’m at 105k I think. Never will there be an AWD hemi again you’re not wrong! Enjoy your car too as well! These are a dying breed

I had an 88 lincoln towncar that I got at an auction. Dark tinted windows, gun metal grey with pinstripes all down her sides, low to the ground without being a lowrider, willy bars in the back 😆 and electric blue door & floor lighting! That was how she came (pinstripes had to go). That car was a beast! It was like riding in a boat. Didn't need a tent to go camping because the backseat was HUGE and you could have fit like at least 6 people in the trunk of average size (just a guess never actually tried it). I never had hardly any problems with car except the time I gave a stranded motorist a jump start & let them put the cables on which fried all my fused links. The gas mileage was terrible but what do you expect when your driving a tank. I wasn't too worried about being in an accident since my car was in fact a metal tank & most the others out there were all plastic fiber glass and sheet metal.
I did manage to turn her on her side & wedge her up against a mountain side trying to miss like 6 deer standing in the road in the middle of nowhere at o dark thirty. The dang doors are so long & heavy I couldn't open one because of the weight 🤣 luckily she still ran so I could at least roll down the window to climb out. She had great brakes I just over corrected when I hit them & while sliding she was drifting straight to the edge of a bridge so I panicked and wrenched the wheel too hard. Good Lord if I tried to brake that fast with my dodge, I'd be over that bridge. I still love my Charger though and agree there will probably never be another awd V8 and she is so worth keeping her going.

I own a 2014 Dodge Charger R/T AWD Max. Jailbreak with Tazer from ZAutomotive. I have done a lot of performance mods. 435hp I just installed paddle shifters. I went on US search for a wrecked Pursuit vehicle in the range of 2011 to 2014. A week later found one in Minnesota. The wheel came with everything but the airbag. Which was ok...I had mine. Did the swap...works great. The Tazer was $250...The wheel was $300.

I have a 2014 Charger RT AWD MAX and the thing I hate the most is that there arent many upgrades available for the AWD models. And headlights assembly is limited the suspension is very limited struts and mounts etc.

One thing I don’t like is the automatic windows. It’s kinda hard to get the window exactly where I want it.
And also it’s hard to see at night ..especially backing up with the tint which I really like but makes it hard to see. Also I just put a rear window louver in mine and that doesn’t help either lol.

Interesting, having 2014 R/T Plus (it base R/T with some packages which give "plus" designation), would agree with steering wheel only. I like that it is large, but yes - same as Caravan and probably Journey. I have zero issues with BT. Playing songs not way we like it - we can blame U-Connect and iOS same way. All the music problem i resolved once and forever - bought 32Gig SD card and copied there all all all my music organized and tagged (downloaded, ripped from CDs, purchased..) and it plays perfectly. Phone - for calls and OBDLink and Wase, SD Card - for music.

I’ve had those problems as well and it’s the little things that make me hate the car as well. I’ve replaced the blend door actuators as well so I think every owner who has owned one of these car would have needed to replace the blend door actuators for these cars. It’s annoying but it’s a simple fix for the passenger side but the driver side is a pain and would be better left to the shop. The Bluetooth is fine as long as it plays music and the sound quality is good too. Passengers always asks why does it show your iPhone and not the song the song that’s playing. It’s also embarrassing when your trying to let your friend connect to the car and now the car won’t connect at all so now you and the passenger are pissed cuz the Bluetooth ain’t working right. At that point we just play the radio. Awkward moments like those is why I hate how outdated the car is from the interior and technology. BUT I do enjoy the leather heated and cooled seats as well as cup holders for the RT plus and RT max. Performance is different compared to the 2015+ but not by much. 8 speed is definitely better than the 5 speed stock for stock but some mods would help a little.

    • @DavidProductions345
      @DavidProductions345  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes don’t get me wrong the little things do get me aggravated sometimes but I do like this car a lot lol . I’ll be making a top 5 things I love about this car as well. The blend doors are annoying especially on the driver side. The Bluetooth is okay when it works and I never let anyone else connect or it’ll mess it all up. It does have a lot of creature comforts though which I will go over in the other video. Just the system is a bit dated but the nav still works when my phone doesn’t have service so that’s good I guess.

Love my 2013 Charger r/t +. I agree though about it having some issues. Bluetooth is a pain, power steering only works 1/2 the time (yes you have to smack the steering wheel to get it to work) & my rear seat lights flicker randomly.
I have purchased 3 brand new batteries for her in 2.5 years. I cannot find exactly where the battery draw is coming from that keeps killing my battery. Fuses are fine. The 1st time I checked with the meter, it led me to a hidden lowjack that should have never been in the car to begin with since I paid for her in full the day I drove her off the lot. The dealership wanted to charge me $250 to remove😂, my husband took it out himself. The battery seemed to stay charged afterwards but it started having same issue about 1 year later.
Somehow I lost a fog light somewhere on I-5, I learned this when I discovered a frayed wire under the car near the passenger side tire.
Ordered a new set of lights & all the wiring & new connectors. My husbands has a lift in his shop so it made the replacement fairly easy.... but now she has completely gone haywire. She's throwin' codes like a thug w/turrets throwing up gang signs! They seem completely random and never ending. Thought maybe the pcm was shot and not wanting to deal with that mess (programming wise) we took her to an automotive shop. They had her for 2 weeks and finally said "we can't figure out what the heck is going on". They put in brand new pcm but it did no better than the original so they put our original back on it. The did replace a wire on the wiring harness that was frayed possibly "chewed on" they said. Anyway, my poor car is stuck home until we can figure out why she fits her name "Christine" so well.

Some people have good luck with these cars and others don’t. The battery issue is crazy though, that’s a lot of batteries. All the components with the computers make it harder to diagnose electrical gremlins too. I hope you’re able to fix your issue though! I honestly don’t know what it would be. Also, thanks for watching! Hope you enjoyed the video!

What you too same with my battery OMG 2014 here yeah a Dodge dealership having to put 3 new batteries on mine too lol that's not even funny got it in 2021 at 102,000 haven't hardly put any miles since I been the owner now at 109,000 so already about 3 years so hardly drive it was in the garage about 10 to 11 months got it out the shop about 3 weeks ago man was that some money spent so they did a lot to get it back up and running just that damn draw but when I jump start it with my Daily it starts right up and dies out in about 2 days later if I don't drive it

@@Martinezm0500 Had my car in the shop for 2 weeks last month and they went over everything they could think of, even replacing the PCU and my car just kept throwing codes. They'd address whatever codes were showing, then turn off my car and restart it an hour or two later and all the codes were either back and or showed new codes. They charged us $1000 and said they were sorry but just could not figure out what the problem was & that we should take it to dodge. HAAAA, I don't freakin think so! Why so they can charge us $5000 for their over priced BS. My husband is a retired diesel mechanic & has his own shop & tools, so he put her up on the lift & started going over everything meticulously. He spent the better part of 3 days out there and the evening of the 3rd day I heard my baby fire up & purr back to life! He parked her in her spot & said he thinks he found the problem. The pins where the PCU connect for some reason were not making full contact, almost as if the pins were too short. Driving around & hitting any bumps or road dips is enough to rattle the car and jostle those pins making them loose & not make full contact in just a few places but not all. Then driving her again would cause the pins to shift again causing a whole new set of codes to show up and make her brain think there was a problem with this or that when it was just the connection.
I noticed my baby seemed really sluggish though like I was driving through water... I just reset my throttle which is really really easy & BAM back in business! Maybe check the pins on yours & see if you are getting good contact. I know there was a software update that some years needed, where you go to dealership & pay like $80 for them to do it & has solved lots of problems. Also chech under your drivers side dash way way up there & see if the dealership left a "lowjack" installed, those can drain battery pretty fast especially if someone didn't install it right. Even though you bought your car, if it had a previous owner then it's very likely the dealership installed one and many fail to remove it once the car is purchased by a new owner.
