This movie for its time was a Cinema show stopper and yes the sound was unmatched. This was the first time we really had low end sound in the cinema. It was the definitive 5.1 DTS track for its time. If you were there you remember.

There's an open matte 35mm scan of Jurassic Park online. I managed to download a copy back in 2022. It has the original Cinema DTS track. I prefer the color grading and audio mix of the 35mm version than the Blu-ray.

Yeah I’ve heard about that copy being out there, it’s very sad that the community need to do what the studio isn’t, in terms of preservation

Didn't the R1 DVD have a DTS soundtrack? I feel sure i have it.

Nope, it had a version that they labelled as DTS, but this was not the theatrical audio, as from what I hear, it lacked a lot of aspects including bass
