This REALLY needs crossplay, ability to join in games that already started, and also DFR. I hope this all gets patched in because the game is so fun. It definitely needs more people and graphical fixes.
This game definitely looks like it has potential if they continue to give it attention. I kind of like the arcade animation to it. Like a 'metal slug' or borderlands look to the explosions.

Have enjoyed the game so far, it's fun and has more depth than I expected.
My concern is that is doesn't seem to have crossplay, have you heard anything to this? It's not so great solo, so crossplay is a must (and is supported on other versions)
@@MADEWITHROBOTS I believe crossplay is already available. I've met people not using the VR2 in it. You can solo for the most part. You just have to be careful and be very aware of your surroundings
Man this game looks like it could actually be REALLY FUN! SMH why do devs release such buggy ass messes? Ruining what this could actually be. This could blow up like Helldivers 2 but in VR if it wasn’t so janky
Guess I might as well play this on Quest if I play it at all, but too busy with Alien on PSVR2 to care too much right now. Also looking forward to dipping into Subside.
I actually think the game is pretty fun on Quest 3, and with some patches and tweaks here and there, I think it could honestly be really good. Add is some shadows below the characters, add some mouth movement when characters are speaking, put a better sight on the rocket launcher (because it seems a bit useless just now), etc. But the core movement, shooting, enemies, etc, are all solid. The moment to moment here is more fun than in Alien: Rogue Incursion imo for example, probably because ARI uses that stupid physics weightiness on all the weapons, so you always have a bit of delay and wobble and jankiness, and grabbing anything from your body or the environment is similarly janky too, and nothing ever feels truly fully satisfying as a result. Basically, if you could switch the level of graphics from ARI to Starship Troopers, Starship Troopers would be kinda awesome, and ARI would be kinda crap as it currently is.

Every time I watch one of these videos, im reminded how much I really need to work on my sailor mouth XD. I had a cheeky look at the progression systems and this game looks VERY in depth for what it is. Im impressed to be honest. Would definitely recommend for anyone who doesn't mind a (admittedly) sub par resolution!

The year end has been somewhat disappointing for VR. It is heartening to see a glut of AAA VR games, but their critical performance have been lukewarm -- "nice-to-haves", but not "must haves" for the majority.
This underscores the importance of hybrid games, which have increased dramatically of late, but are still pretty limited. An RE7 port, or Alien Isolation port, or even a port of a modern game (eg. Helldivers) would be nice compliment to the AAA VR portfolio and bridge the flatscreen/VR divide.
Starship Troopers VR seems like silly-fun, but an embarrassing fit for the prestige of the IP.
In what dimension does Starship Troopers have such prestige?

I'm sorry, WHAT? what are you talking about? The year ended with metro VR, behemoth and alien VR. 2 of the best VR games ever made, 2 of which are from big IPs.
And that's just December.
@kato093 Exactly as I said: lukewarm critical reception. Key word: "critical." Of the games mentioned, not one reached 80 on opencritic, with most hovering around 70. This implies "good" games, not bad, but certainly not great. The fan reception corroborates this.

I think I get you. You are a casuals casual. Like those very casual, where all you care about is GTA, Fortnite or some other big triple A Game, wishing that they would be in VR one day (😂).
All "must haves" are "nice to haves" for the majority. You think RE8 and RE4 were any different? That re7 (the worst re game in years and weaker than re3 remake) is gonna do something? Or alien isolation? (The 5/10 from IGN, with lower than "Luke warm critical reception"?)
It's also hilarious that you said that starship troopers has "IP prestige". It's a niche cult classic dude. 1 movie out of 3, not counting the many CGI garbage fest "movies". With the other 2 being direct to DVD garbage. The only reason starship troopers is even getting a small revival, is because of Helldivers 2.
And blame quest/meta for the shitty game.
I can not get past the training, it does not load in the 4th section so I am just left stuck in the training map. Psvr2 games are a joke , what utter trash.
