Underrated aspect of Lions Bucs is that both Goff and Mayfield are former #1 QBs who were traded away from their original teams and found success with another team.
You can point out that SF was missing one or more of their stars when facing MIN the last two years. But you should also point out that in both those games, MIN was missing some of their stars, too.
I'm not sure what you're talking about with Baker, but he was runner up for ORoY to Saquon. He set a record for most TDs by a rookie (which Herbert broke the following year.) How could he have been inaccurate, then? He also led the Browns to a playoff win in 2020 and almost beat the Chiefs. 2021 he had accuracy issues, but that was due to the shoulder injury.
Even when he was playing well his ball location accuracy wasn't even close to where it was in college. He had become a fundamentally less accurate passer in the NFL

Jags through 2 games, Kirk 2 catches 29 yards. They need to get him more involved to help Lawrence. I don't understand not even targeting him when he has been such a big part of their offense for a couple years now.
The Kyler Gordon interception wouldn't have been a touchdown if they reversed it. Which is why i thought it was another pretty horrible challenge, it was 3rd and 10 and get one stop and Houston is punting anyway so Bears should be getting the ball back anyway so even if the challenge is successful it only would have been the difference of somewhere around ~30 yards of field position probably. Seeing the ball clearly hit the ground, i dont think the reward was worth the risk of losing your last challenge and wasting a timeout.
On the Ravens game that call wasn't the worst. If was the one called on Madibukie because after watching the replay he never actually touched Minshews face mask or even his helmet. That let the drive continue
Watching that Bears team last night scared me a bit. Reminded me an awful lot of watching them with Fields. No superman plays, scheme is absolutely trash just throwing screens hitches or streaks, random accuracy. Not to mention he's getting beat to absolute death back there almost to the point of being hard to keep watching. No run game. Players all seem like they're just wanting to make a superman play because they know how bad it's going. These are the same issues we've seen the past 2 years. They played a good team so I'm definitely not saying it's time to panic and fire every person in the entire organization. It just stuck out to me that I was basically watching the same problems arise. Stroud was getting beat into the 3rd circle of hell in the 2nd half as well so it's definitely not just all on Caleb's shoulders, we know stroud is good. It's tough out there but hopefully we see something different soon
Fields' teams had a running game and he still sucked. Caleb is wayyyy better than him. Defenses are just pinning their ears back and doing whatever they want against the Bears because Waldron's scheme and gameplan are horrible and they dont have to worry about the run game at all. Several players have already thrown Waldron under the bus in postgame comments, and its only week 2. It could get even uglier. But Ten and Hou look like 2 of the best defenses, so hopefully things start looking a bit better with the seemingly soft schedule coming up.
We need to talk about how Brock Purdy has been utterly unable to elevate his team when he doesn’t have his full compliment of multiple all pro weapons. They lost games last year without Kittle and now to the Sam Darnold Vikings without CMC. If he’s truly an elite QB he shouldn’t need 4 all pros every week to win
@@drcox012 I’m fine with Shanahan even though he’s a massive choker. It’s the constant glazing of Purdy that rubs me wrong. He’s firmly NOT a top 10 QB.

If folks had been watching they would have seen a 6 game stretch at the end of 2022 where Darnold played solid and nearly got that terrible Panthers team to the playoffs. Kirk Cousins played career best aged 34 with this KOC infrastructure. Two more weeks of this scepticism just inflates my sports betting odds. Thanks in advance.
What happened to the lions is they got punched in the mouth, the Bucs were hitting so hard that every pass Goff threw was essentially a hospital pass, their offense runs on YAC so this is essentially devastating for them, poor amon ra almost lost his life out there, he was playing through an obvious ankle sprain and didn't have the juice needed to get open in the RedZone his 11 catches were more of a public execution than dominant route running, I mean all respect to him idk how he finished the game let alone held on to some of those passes, but it all added up, and Lavonte took Laporta on vacation
Yeah Antoine Winfield was hurt but Izien might be the best 3rd safety in the league and, if Winfield misses broncos game, he'll certainly have opportunity to show that 💀
How is Dave Canales an improvement over frank reich? Genuine question. People act like the Bucs offense wasn’t ranked 17thlast year (so average at best) and that Caneles was a qb coach just 20 months ago. This is coming from a Bucs fan, Caneles isn’t ready to be a head coach, he just started calling plays a year ago. Panthers convinced them selfs he’s a wonderkind when hes extremely under qualified and the Bucs offense looks better without him calling it
Last year, the Vikings were missing Jefferson. This year… Vikings missing WR2 and TE1 for the whole game, and WR1 and RB1 leave the game with injuries. The narrative that the 49ers were handicapped each time they meet Flores is ridiculous.
@@samuelmonson70I agree- it’s true - but more of what I was trying to get at is that the same can be said of any other team, so the better question is which scheme or coach is rugged enough to withstand those inevitable absences.
