Gagnon bringing back the old Rogan but without the Coast to Coast vibes and dryness of Hardcore History. Def carving his lane of curiosity - and guest picks. Kudos to Mark and team.
I recommend History legends or willy oam, who report accurately on the Ukraine war unlike task and purpose or ryan macbeth and you delete my comments... I guess you like propaganda!!
Thank you for not just the information provided but also your ability to allow your guests to tell their story with a comfortability that is refreshing. Stoked for future episodes!!
This is the kind of WW1 understanding and explanation that I've been looking for. Great questions, I love your content. Can't wait for the cold war episode
I always look forward to these episodes now man. Ive only discovered the camp for maybe 2 months. But each episode is always interesting and helps get through the work day💯
Would love a video about the Bolshevik Revolution, Polish-Bolshevik war and the impact that had on the interwar period, Mao Revolution. A pod about the teutonic order, its history but also how it impacted Prussian/German militarism and nationalism, as well as Nazi Propaganda, would be great.
This is a great, very knowledgeable guest! I'd like to add a few things. First, Hitler mentioned he was very inspired by the US and praised how they did Jim Crow laws in his book Mein Kamf. Second, I'd like to hear the guest talk about the sexual revolutions that happened during and between WW1 and WW2 as it had a lot to play in the domestic politics that lead to Hitlers uprising.
I've been looking for a concise and well explained timeline of the events surrounding the lead up to World War 1 for years and this is it in great detail . After doing quite substantial reading on the subject myself ,I would suggest that the evolution of the conflict may not have been so organic and may well have involved a lot of subterfuge and manipulation from dark forces who had a great deal to gain from a resounding German defeat . I also notice he didn't mention Trotskys hugely important role in the October Revolution and the fact that he left the U.S via Canada to get to Russia in 1917 with more than a little help from associates in New York ,suggesting the events were somewhat more complicated than the Germans wanting Lenin to engineer a revolution solely to weaken The Russian war effort . Professor Antony Sutton has some fascinating videos on that subject
This was a fun 10000 foot overview! If you liked this listen to the Hardcore History Blueprint for Armageddon series. Goes into a lot more details and nuances that are involved in this war.
He rushed a bit through sequence of events that led to the assassination, imo. Great listen though. Dan Carlin would be another great guest, especially for ww1-ww2 stuff.
Hilarious ineptitude to claim that the serbian celebration of liberation was actually them celebrating occupation. Hey champ, if they werent happy at the change in occupation, they wouldn't celebrate it. Dont apply your weird bias to a very straightforward holiday.
@@George-hc1vxI don’t have the time stamp but it’s when he’s talking about sending Lenon into Russia (in a sealed train car as to not corrupt Germans along the way)
Lamest comment 0/10 for trying to be funny lol. 😂 . Im assuming you're 14-19 give or take just by how you sound; hopefully no older than early 20s or thats a little embarrassing at that point), but this is exactly super interesting for people who want knowledge of the world. Middle and HS history dont go nearly as in depth or are nearly as interesting as this dude. This is actually good content
the recaps might not be entirely necessary, i didn't watch this one because of so. the topic seemed interesting then i quickly seemed uninterested after the recap.
Mark should get CJNG or cartel expert now that the US wants to go to war with cartel or something. someone that can break down the origins and politcs of how it has gotten to where its at now
It's okay for this guy to recommend somebody , but when I recommend History legends or willy oam, who report accurately on the Ukraine war unlike task and purpose or ryan macbeth and you delete my comments... I guess you like propaganda!!
The national/ commemorative day of remembrance by either the Serbians or the Austrians where they pretty much remember their defeat… we do have that in America. It’s whatever day that weirdo confederate sh*t takes place on.
Keep bringing this guy in and do podcasts on various historical events
Please🙏🙏🙏
Seriously please do!!! Ive learned more here than in my history classes
Hell yeah!!!

The WW2 episode was one of my fav pods of all time. So hyped when I saw this, can’t wait to listen!
I honestly cannot tell how the excitement and joy I get seeing a new episode drop!! Absolutely loving this pod

Loved it! More history podcasts please. Maybe the American revolution or profile interviews on leaders like Stalin, mao, polpot..
Gagnon over here taking over the podcast world. Great show, and great expectations for your future dude!
Is the video choppy for anybody else?
It is on mine too.
Not on mine
it’s choppy. I noticed it in the first 2 minutes.
Mark you’re a legend for responding to comments and actively making changes as you see problems in the comments!
Loving the pod more and more!
Ben is a fantastic guest and explains interplay of historical factors so well. Please bring him on again!
I have my lunch ready to eat as soon as this starts
A 3 hour lunch , interesting 😅
Articulate and curious interviewer, clear and informative interviewee. Perfect 👌
FYI looked to finish this video. IT WAS NOT on your channel page. Only in the FULL EPISODES playlist.
Have you told Andrew we love your pod more than flagrant
facts
I love learning about the history that’s not talked about or shelved for certain reasons.
Might be my favorite guest so far. Dude rocks
Great podcast second time a round He’s really good on telling and breaking down the events. I like his take
I wish I could keep watching but the ads literally every 2 min is killing it for me
I always look forward to these episodes now man. Ive only discovered the camp for maybe 2 months. But each episode is always interesting and helps get through the work day💯
Buddy's historian sweater is fire 🔥
That did took my attention right on
This guy kicks ass, everything is just off the dome. What a depth of knowledge
Loved it. As funny as flagrant, but I always learn something. You're my new favorite. Keep it up!

Amazing podcast! 🔥🔥🔥 thank you for dropping vids consistently with cool guests man! (700th like lol)

I only knew just the small bits of WW1 but damn hella informative thanks 👏👏👏

Great podcast. You NEED to do one just as in depth if not more on WW2
On my TH-cam already :)
@CampGagnon oh man , I'll look for it thanks 👍

Love the history pods so much
Really fascinating pods to listen to today
This is a good one 🔥🔥
I was very hyped for this but I couldn't hear this guy at all while at work.
what do you mean? Audio too low?
@CampGagnon Yep I could hear Mark no problem, but the guest seemed to be half his volume

Is it just me or is the guests mic always quieter?
was anyone else experiencing this choppiness on this video or just me?
"acquiring smaller economies" Unpack that for us 😅
That's interesting.
Is this the Shultz Gaginon?
The Italians were good engineers they made the first plain that could switch side mid flight
Production matters. Fix the uneven volume levels if you want to be taken seriously.
“So that worked perfectly?” Well… in the short term. In the long-term, you just released an ideological pathogen into your neighboring country.

@CampGagnon anyway Rumble Young Man Rumble. You have a really good podcast.
A WWI talk without any mention of mustard gas?
