@@marrisaauby2086 I’m too old and my health issues are too big. Darn it. Broke my back at age 21. 3 places. So it’s crippled me up too much to get too far from a city. Then last year in December I collapsed at my son’s house two days before Christmas in Colorado. I was so mad to spend Christmas in icu. Bummer. I’m better now but I still have to do too much.
As a mobility disabled person, I love watching your videos so I can live vicariously through you! It also helps to remind me that, once I'm able to be more mobile again, to get my own fur buddy and me out into nature. Thanks so much Camper and Nikki! Can't wait until next week!

Designer here! IMHO your van is not bland. It is functional. It has uniformity and simplicity in its colour scheme, whether by accident (most likely) or by design. If you lose anything in that space you should be able to spot it almost immediately. I’m by no means a minimalist, but this design ticks my boxes. Great video as usual.
I hope she doesn't pimp out her external look in any way. The color scheme does look minimal. Flashy attracts more attention, NOT what you want.

Im disabled also and in a wheelchair due to amputation and circulation issues. At 51 i walked all the time s o not being able yo really messed me up in head. I live thru nikki and camper mysrlf . Great comment you made. Mad respect from central maine. Best eishes for you my friend.

It was nice to see you visit one of my favorite spots in the Eastern Sierras in Schats Bakery in Bishop. The hand pulled turkey sammies on their famous Sheepherders bread with sprouts and avocado and smoked gouda with spicy brown mustard. TO DIE FOR

I am a native idahoan. 20 years ago I was in the same camping are that you are in now. That area is so gorgeous. The little flowers growing half way up the cliff make that area so cool. Take care and stay safe

For your van: Peel and stick paper can bring texture and color. They even make some that looks like tile. You could get some matte to frame some of your favorite photos and put them on the cabinets. You and Camper are a wonderful pair!

Ideas for interior design is to add fake greenery and fairy lights around the ceilings trims, I think that is always a cheap quick touch that adds warmth and life to the inside. And maybe a more colorful comforter for the bed spread.

Think of a color you really like for your accent color. Then get a few throw pillows and comforter and/or blanket in that color. If you like the color teal, then get accent pillows, etc. in teal and maybe dark blue that would contrast nicely with your interior.

All the years I've been subbed to your channel. I have always been impressed with your ability to create video ! Stunning visuals of landscapes , Especially from the van door opening. You frame it so well! My concern is when you are in treacherous areas in flip flops! put your hiking shoes on girl so you don't twist and ankle or worse! It was especially touching to see how intent Camper was as you took every bite. And since he's afraid of flies. don't go to Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan in the summer!
Thank you! I actually have been training my feet to hike essentially barefoot ever since my injury over a year ago and it’s changed me for the better (switching to minimalist footwear) - no knee issues any more! Wahoo. These sandals are specifically made for hiking :-)

Hi Nikki, I know you were focused on functionality and practicality. Since you asked for some suggestions, maybe add some small touches like plants 🪴 and decorative pillows. A bigger step would be adding back splash and maybe changing style of handles on cabinets. Hope these suggestions help.💛
Also, maybe a few framed pictures, a mirror, or light sconces.

It's so funny Camper is afraid of flies. Flies are my dogs favorite things to hunt and eat. She loves when one gets inside and gets tired and she can hunt it down and eat it. One of her primary sources of summer entertainment haha. You can get those flies Camper boy. My Ruthie says they taste great.

Food for thought: It would be embarrassing if, on one of your hikes, you were to slip and break an ankle or something because you chose to go in sandals. I'm sure Search and Rescue will be happy to come get you, because, much like an ambulance, they gonna get paid. Just a whole lot more.

I remember that horrible episode on the mountain top when he was going after an animal I believe and look at him now, going off by himself. Aaaww, I saw Camper leaning in his front seat the same way my dog Zeke does. I finally made him a bed using an ordinary cardboard box that I cut to fit between the seat and the dash. Then I put his pillow on top, and he LOVES IT!! ❤🐕

I am not a design but Mama Nikki. I have a couple of suggestions. Ok. Since your interior is mostly white. To brighten up your little camper. For your bed. Get some pretty color sheets. No dark. Then add a comforter in the same color and pillow cases. Then add a few white decorative pillows and ta da! Your inside of the van will look warming and inviting.I hope that you like these suggestions.

Camper is a chip of the old block (not that you are old!) he is such a great hiker and climber. That was so cute with him hiding because of the flies, he reminded me of my cute dog who didnt like flies either and I would have to get them out of the bedroom or he wouldnt sleep. Cant wait to see what you do with your van x

I have bone dysplasia issues so my mobility is limited but would love to be on an adventure like yours. But I can live vicariously through your videos. The scenery is amazing. Come Down Under one day and hire a van. There's a lot of country to see here too lol.

I never really understood the bond people have with their dogs untill my daughter got her dog Lola... which is a Huskypoo. I see how much you love Camper and now i also feel the love i have for Lola. I don’t think your van is “bland”! It tells me a lot about your personality - keeping it real and functional! You even have the dog buddha. I think you’re all set. In fact if you start adding designs here and there it can make the van look busy and chaotic. I hope you do what’s comfortable for you!

Such cool places you find to camp at. Ever thought of making a list of your favorite places so we can visit?
Just cover most surfaces with art, prints, decorative tapestries, postcardd, stickers, magnets etc. It keeps things homey, colorful and each one is a memory. It's kinda like tattoos; all about covering space with images that speak to you and about you. Sometimes it speaks in artsy prints, sometimes in puppy pictures, sometimes in roadside attraction tin signs.
Ahhh the scenery. You wake up to it, walk around in it, and then go to bed in it. What more could one ask for.
Seeing the STARS when camping in the desert is a world-class experience. Hope you had a relaxing time.

It's a saying in my family. "I hit my head so hard I saw stars". She said she hit her head three times sleeping the other way on the bed. I was joking that the stars Nikki saw were from hitting her head not the desert sky. That's all.
