Ironically, you will become less rusty at Japanese by learning how to say you're rusty at Japanese.
@Mr Fishfinger mnemonics can help, or using srs method
@Mr Fishfinger Its a system. Here is how it works, maybe a website that uses the system will show you a word and allow you to look at it as long as you need to, to memorize it, then, it will make you answer what the vocab word or kanji is in 2 hours, then 4, then the time between each time you are asked what this kanji or word is gets longer, forcing you to pull it out of your memory, which helps you to remember it longer. Websites that use this system are memrise and wanikani. It's really helpful. Also it doesn't require you to keep studying that word for minutes at a time, so yeah. Wanikani helps with kanji, and memrise helps with whatever, including japanese, so maybe try it out. (Wanikani allows you to try its first 3 levels for free, you can take as long as you need to for them, because it is an srs system so its going to take a while, it will teach you 86 kanji, over 100 vocab, and radicals so I definitely recommend it, and because of wanikani I can remember almost 200 kanji, and over 400 vocab words, so yeah)

@Mr Fishfinger Trust me its really good, also if you dont know what radicals are, they can help with the mnemonics used, as well as making more complicated kanji look a little easier

I think adding more short videos into the mix would be good! Your longer ones are fantastic and go into so much detail, but sometimes people don't have the time for a full lesson, or potential new viewers might skip over a longer video - so having some shorter ones gives people options, it's nice!

You are amazing as a teacher, but lately I am getting burnt out watching your videos, even though I haven't lost the motivation to learn Japanese. So here's a suggestion. I think the problem might be that you stay in your room, so everything is very static. How about teaching us Japanese vlogging style. Just, you know, teach us while walking in the park or something you know. Less static. But you are still the best teacher I have access to. You explain really well.

In the sentence "saikin nihongo wo hanasu kikai ga nakute,...° could the °nakute" be replaced by something like "arimasen dakara"/"arimasen soshite" in order to say it in formal speech?

こんにちは、みさ先生！This has nothing to do with this lesson but I heard a lot of times people using って instead of は/が in a sentence like "あなたって歌が上手です" . I tried looking for it but I didn't actually get it.

These are almost the same meaning ,But って is more sounds like casual

I was wondering. Could you use also use the verb 落ちる in this context? For example, would a sentence like "日本語のスキルが少し落ちます" be natural?
She uses the verb 落ちる at 8:04 but the way you wrote it does not sound natural. You would not use the dictionary form (ochiru/ochimasu) in this context because the tense is wrong, take a look at her example. It's like saying "My Japanese skill is get worse" vs "getting worse" or "has gotten worse"

@@GXrevolution96 can you rephrase your question? I'm not sure I understand it completely
@@GXrevolution96 if you're asking "why would you use てくる when adverbs like だんだん exist," it's because you actually need to use them together in order to get the idea across.
For example, if you said 日本語が上手になってきました, you would be communicating "[my] Japanese got good," but there is no sense of the manner with which it got good.
If you said 日本語がだんだん上手になってきました, that would communicate that it gradually got better. The sense of being gradual is not implied in the first example.
You may be wondering why you can't just say 日本語がだんだん上手になった... That sentence doesn't look like it has incorrect grammar to me (I could be wrong), but in terms of nuance なってくる sounds way better because it's "becoming" in the sense of a change over time.

勉強になりました。有り難う御座いました。「腕が鈍る」について質問がありますけど。反対に「腕が上がる」と言いますよね。そして質問は「手がある」と言ったらどういうふうに違いますか？
「手がある」は「その手がある」というふうに使います。ほとんどの場合は。「どうやったらぶたを殺せるだろう？」「銃で撃つのはどうでしょうか？」「その手があったか！」。つまり「そんな方法は思いつかなかったけど、今それを知りました！」という意味です。

well you can say it for any language.... "ぼくは英語がへたになってしまいました”
Well I guess in any language there's a construction to say "my X is rusty", so you can fill in the word for the language you're speaking.
In Dutch it would be "M'n Nederlands is roestig", in French it'd be something along the lines of "Mon français n'est pas ca que c'etait"

what means "rusty" ?...
I use 「(私の)日本語が怪しくなった。」which simply means my japanese became weird.

Ok so for the "忘れてくる“ example, "くる" becomes "きて” with て form and then the て is replaced by ちゃった right? I was confused about this for a while.
