A couple years ago me and my mates were going to the state forest in VIC for some camping / hunting. 4 guys in 3 4x4's. The road we took was also the way to the mountains and being near the end of winter; peak skiing / snowboard season. As we got on the highway doing 100km, in the space of about 10km travel, there were 9 cars in the stop lanes, all with hazards one. I looked back on a few and ALL had smashed bonnets. Obviously had hit roos / wombats. Before we got to our camp site, we hit a roo in the car I was in. We were doing 100. took 15m to stop and looked back and had hit a full sized 200kg adult male kangaroo. We euthanised him with a 22 to the head, and not a single dent on the bonnet / bullbar. That steel bullbar, saved our lives, if not kept us safe. Fuck the latte sippers who's only 'outdoors' experience is walking in the backyard.
How many pedestrians do you think these fellas with 5 posters see a week? What the city slickers don't understand is that it's gonna save their lives with animal strikes. When I picked up one of my cars a couple years ago it was fitted with a pretty decent bullbar, in the next 2 hours on my way home at night, I hit probably around 9-10 roos. The bar saved my life.
They aren’t actually banned anymore, my uncle had one a few years ago and he said it was fine. Plus I think they look nuts and I’d love to have one as well
none of those bullbars are illegal, they all abide by the law of their year that 60series cruiser DID have a bumper that stuck out that far, it was no safer than the bullbar bullbars are to protect the occupants, not the pedestrians, they are designed to deflect objects. if a pedestrian is hit at 60km/h he will be hurt and most likely killed no matter what vehicle. the sticker said it all "BAN THE STUPID PEDESTRIAN, NOT THE BULLBAR" not that hard to stay off the road when on foot.
@@lachygoldsworthy4226 i think its pedestrians that are the problem like ive been driving for only 3 years but ive had so many pedestrians run out in front of me while im at 40 or 60 ks an hour and ive had too brake or swerve for them and the bullbar they shown definetly was a factory bar whats next they are gonna make exterior panels plastic ?
Alright scrooby, why not make the open road speed limit 25, and every car has to carry a massive pillow on the front, well all be vegetarians and listen to enya. If everyone was like you Australia would still be a small tent village in botany bay.
Had a worker hit by a car recently lucky the car had a bull bar. It saved his life. He held on to it which stopped him from going under the car and facing a certain death.
"Smart bars are stronger" yet the barrel had no water in it un like the other one if they came out here, they'd realise they save lives few times I've hit roos or pigs if I didn't have me bullbar I'd be close to if not dead
ive got one of them city pedestrian safe bullbars that lean back and don't protrude from my car hit a roo doing 60km's bent it back into my car and smashed my windscreen because it sloped back. not only are they completely usless unless your in the city there dangerous out in the bush when you hit a roo, give me a big corn fed tough bar any day

the reason why some bull bars are further away from the grill Is so if you it a kangaroo it wont push into the grill
