Thanks! the imagery they use when the ipad is off is really confusing, the imagery should really be the opposite way so you know there's electricity going through the wire and the ipad.

Even baboon would design more usable UI than Apple UI designer. That freaking "starts/stops" charging each 5 seconds with native apple charger are making me crazy already, what a tech crap my iPhone is? Never had such charger issues with android before... Will never buy any apple crap again: caught myself seeking youtube videos, to understand whether my iphone brick is charging or not
I like how my phone does it: it's an Oppo and whenever I plug it in a little animation shows a stream of charge moving from the port to the center of the screen. Minimalist and quite awesome.

God you're a life saver I'm only 24 and I felt 85 trying to get a solid answer anywhere online. [Android user here]
I was trouble shooting a friend's iPad with no spare charger. So I was looking online for other causes of not charging.
The first video I saw suggested doing a hard reset (ya a hard reset not a forced reboot... but the way that wipes your data) then a different charger or cleaning the port. And most of the trouble shooting stuff also indicates a hard reboot.. I wasn't going to do all that with out trying a new charge cable.
Im also android user and look for the ⚡️to indicate charging.
New cable and its charging just fine.

Hi, just bought my new iPad pro 4th gen 11 inch. And upon charging, its charged at 100%, but its still charging and status is not "Fully Charged". Is it okay to leave it there for hours as long as it will be fully charged?
why couldn't they just show the thunderbolt in the battery icon to indicate it's charging, just like how it's normally shown when it's on? I guess that would be way too easy to figure out.

Since my device of 3 years is not charging right, (seems to be a faulty battery thing since the item can be plugged in and off on charging, plugged and not in use and going down in battery or more) it’s been hard to tell when it’s legit charging.
The iPad 2 of 10+yrs is still working much better than my current problematic device sadly.
I have questions I just took my iPad off the charger 8min ago fully charged how come this screen time keep saying 14hrs on ain’t screen time supposed reset after each full charge! I just got this iPad it my first apple product or do u think I have to have the device fully die than it reset ?idk I’m new to apple lol

Sometimes when I place wire in to recharge, it does not show charging battery sign!! Does this mean it is not charging?
I panic & then take out the wire & try it round the other way to see if I can get the charging sign!!
I even go & plug it in to another socket so I can get charging sign!! Please let me know am I doing the right action? Kind regards, Ann

I was making a file on my ipad and didn’t notice it was running low on battery not until it died. I left it plugged in from 4am-8:30am while I slept. When I woke up it was still on the battery icon mode 😞 I tried charging the ipad now using a powerbank and it opened after about a minute. Could it be my charging cable is damaged? But it charges my iphone just fine.

My iPad ran out of battery then I charge it for a few and then it turn back on then once It did that it was on like 10 percent then I put my charger back on and then like a min went by and it just went all black and went back on the black charging screen now it be on like 20 percent and right when I put the charger in it just turns all black and goes to the black charging screen but when I turn it back on without the charger it works perfectly fine and it getting me heated no cap🤦🏾♂️
